If the Eagles were to want him, I think they would have to do it through waivers.

At this point in the season you might as well stick with Pickett who we already traded for and has been in the system all year. I still think Jones is the better QB but the gap isn't wide enough to pursue him right now.

I wouldn't be at all averse to adding Jones to the Practice Squad ... taking the place of Will Grier.

How many temporary IRs do we have left (assuming they want Huff for the playoffs)?

3 assuming they don't bring back Bradberry, Byron Young or Le'Raven Clark.

Covey is coming back just in time to catch some of DeVonta's WR screens

Dotson takes the outside WR snaps Wilson, Smith and Covey split the slot WR snaps.  Possibly a few snaps with Gainwell in the backfield and Saquon in the slot.

Get him healthy for the Ravens need him for that one.

Huff to IR but will be back for playoffs.

Nah.  Regular season indoor games are extremely generic to me.

I never really thought about it like that but OK.  I just care about if it's a good matchup, exciting game, competitive game, etc.  Could care less if they're outside or inside.

Just like holding AJ Brown out vs. the Saints and Bucs, this is the right decision.

Need a Dotson or Goedert to step up.

Tough one to try to win short handed. Would rather see him sit vs an AFC opponent at least but,  can't help when the injury happened.

UH fan so hard to see Anenih cut but as a Nebraska fan, Mathis is an upgrade.  Frankly, time in an NFL strength program and coaching should bring more from him.  Good churn.

Weather adds a layer of intrigue that doesn't exist in a dome.  Domes have ideal conditions... dry, no wind, not cold... boring.  The match ups can be great but watching a great match up where the teams are battling the elements in addition to each other is something that really only football has.  Basketball and hockey are always played indoors, not counting the carnival outdoor hockey games.  Baseball has to deal with wind and shadows, but if the weather really turns bad, they pause the game.  Football alone plays through any conditions, except lightning.  It's one of the best things about the sport, at least to me.  Eliminating that feels like you are taking away part of the soul of the game.  Then again, the NFL is doing everything they can to do that already with the fake kickoffs, the horrible/over officiating of the game, etc.  As Coach Boone once said, "Let the boys play."

And I won't deny part of it is nostalgia for me.  My brother and I would always scrounge up a football game whenever it would snow.  There's nothing like playing in a snowstorm.  So much fun.

Brown was a PUP, not IR.  Mailata was activated.  Team opened window on Albert O but cut him rather than activated him.  Only players on IR likely to be activated are Covey and Huff.  Were fine there.

I enjoyed playing in the snow as a kid as well.  I think everyone did.

But sometimes watching it isn't so much fun especially if it's a sloppy game.

We all have different opinions.  I wonder if they ever did a survey or something to see what fans think of if they like or dislike dome or indoor stadiums.  Seems most new stadiums being built are some kind of dome or retractable roof.

I'd bet Jones winds up in Tennessee.

He gets to compete with Levis for the starting spot.  Team gets to avoid a seemingly weak QB class in the draft and buys some more time to see what Levis does.

Is this a weak class? Cam Ward, Sanders and Ewers are viable first round prospects.  Recency bias may influence a team like the Titans to draft a QB given the relative success of this year's class. The bigger issue is that Jones just does not have it as a starting QB.

Albert O still counts. He was designated ahead of time under the new rule. Albert O, Ainias Smith, Jordan Mailata and soon to be Britain Covey and Huff. I forgot they pickup 2 more designations for making the playoffs though, so they will have 5 left.

I think that's all about the money... and wanting to get their hands on a Super Bowl, or host other events that wouldn't work as well outside.  I don't think the football games are really the driving factor.  Those stadiums only have 10 or so events guaranteed by NFL games.  So, they are looking for other things for the other 240+ days of the year to make them more worth while.

I am sure that has to be faked.

Hopefully Covey returns punts, no need to subject DeJean to unnecessary hits.

Losing to the Rams kills any realistic shot at the #1 seed, but beating Washington in a month will essentially lock us into the 2 seed. Need Smitty healthy back for any realistic playoff run.

These are rough splits which helps justify the decision.

This is where you need the Dotson addition to pay off.  He's been here long enough now, he should be able to step up, if he's ever going to.

I hope Hurts is ready to throw him the ball.

Last game of the season, can't hold anything back now.
