The thought was the Jets were only a QB away from contenders. They have weapons on offense, Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, etc. The defense is good: Sauce Gardner, Quinnen Williams, et al. All they needed was a QB to take them over the top. Rodgers was supposed to be the guy but promptly tore his Achilles. Perhaps the mistake was bringing him back. But the Jets were already invested.

If LAR wants to get funky, a good week for shotgun play-action.

It's already 7-0 in the Chiefs/ Panthers game. They should probably switch to a more competitive game now to save themselves some time.
