Well, if they said it, it must be true.

You couldn't have been lied to and believed it.

Not at all.

All I know is, if Kamala Harris was in office that number would be money spent, not money saved.

You don't know. Maybe she would create a website to claim cuts as well.

What we do know is that during the Biden admin,

the US had the strongest post Covid economy in the world.

the US was the leader of the free world, and our allies could count on us to work with them, not start trade wars with them.

yea, it's amazing what projecting weakness and flooding the US economy with government spending will do.

Biden will go down as one of, if not the worst president of all time.....except in CVON of course.

By the numbers: Trump added $8.4 trillion in borrowing over a ten-year window, CRFB finds in a report out this morning.

Biden's figure clocks in at $4.3 trillion with seven months remaining in his term

.

If you exclude COVID relief spending from the tally, the numbers are $4.8 trillion for Trump and $2.2 trillion for Biden.

Good try bucko

Of the $8.4 trillion of new net ten-year debt President Trump approved, 23 percent was from partisan actions and 77 percent was bipartisan.

Of the $4.3 trillion of new net ten-year debt President Biden approved in his first three and a half years in office, 71 percent was from partisan actions and 29 percent was bipartisan.

Tax cuts are not spending, although they do impact our debt. When you look at actual spending, there is a clear difference between spending to better the country and spending to buy votes.

Bucko.

imagine a world where government employees don't have to wait months for their paper file to be processed under a mountain to retire

how quickly you soyboys forget about the great central american invasion of our southern states.

And… we have new allies in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, El Salvador, Venezuela, Hungary and Turkey. They have better bribes.

China is also now aware that the GOP in the US is 100% about putting on a political show and nothing anyone says is true.

yeah, but trump says everything is going to be dirt cheap for us now.

That's a level of inefficiency insurance companies strive for.

Who am I kidding, SS is still way more efficient.

In any entity as large is the US Federal Government there is going to be some waste and fraud. It's impossible to policy it out 100%.

But even the most aggressive "pork" reports that are published on the regular tally up to a fraction of a percent.

DOGE was never going to find enough "fraud" and waste to cover the cost that the upheaval was going to bring.

They certainly were never going to impact the deficit.

The only way to reign in spending is significant reforms in entitlement programs. And for all their bluster the Republicans are still too chicken**** to touch that.

The truth of the last 30 years is this:

Republicans cut revenue while increasing spending. Democrats raise revenue while increasing spending.

Democrats increase deficits.

Republicans increase deficits faster.

Trump is still a dumbfu©k and we'll be worse off in 2028 specifically because of his actions.

I almost kind of think that taxes on pay stubs should be broken down, lump the taxes that go to entitlements onto one like FICA, and regular federal funding goes on a separate line.

I don't think people realize how much tax dollars actually go to social services.

Do you remember the leaked clips after the election and before inauguration of musk telling the other billionaires in meetings that they were going to cut $1-2trillion out of the annual federal budget?

Do you think a room full of billionaires were meeting because of their mutual concern for federal spending? No, it was about how big of a tax cut would they get. The more spending cuts, the bigger the tax cut. The more tariffs, the more tax burden will be transferred to consumers = bigger tax cut for the wealthy.

Bigger tax cuts = more powerful oligarchs.
