Especially with the replay reviews. Clement and Ertz TD’s were clearly fair but I still hear Collinsworthless in my head saying "I dunno….”

How about the disappointment in their voices when BG got that strip sack

Carmichael will always be the guy I remember, but at this pace absolutely Brown will own all the team records in almost half the time.

His career was derailed by injuries, but at his best, Quick was better than Carmichael. In my opinion anyway.

Clement's TD was close. I can understand that being a little questionable.  I honestly thought they werent going to call it a TD.

Ertz was clear as can be.

What was infuriating about the Ertz touchdown was Collinsworth saying (and I forget the exact quote, which I used to know by heart) that he wasn't "going to begin" to analyze...and then proceeded to critique for the next three minutes. Michaels was pretty bad during this entire exchange too, as I recall.

Oh...and Merrill's call on the Ertz touchdown is pure cringe. He kept going on about him catching the ball anyway on the bounce, thinking that that mattered somehow. If the ball hit the ground, catching it on the bounce is irrelevant, Merrill.

Al Michaels called that game like he was bored out of his mind. His call of the Hail Mary and the game ending was so disappointing.

I wish we got Kevin Harlan’s radio call instead. He’s great.

Diana Russini thinks the OC is gonna be Patullo.

I really don't see it. They didn't like him enough to give him the job last season, promoting from within has failed miserably for them, and they dedicated the entire offseason last year to ensure they'll move away from a Sirianni style offense.

I want to see a complete ass kicking by the Eagles like the NFCCG, I don't want an interesting Super Bowl, we had one of those in 2017, it's time to win one in boring, no doubt fashion instead.   2022 was interesting as well but we didn't win that one.  So yeah, I have no interest in another close, interesting game. Especially when it comes to the KC Refs.  Give me a 42-7 Eagles game (with the 7 by KC being scored late in the 4th quarter) please.

Really only one super bowl has been like that, broncos-seahawks. Id love it, but the NFL will never let that happen again

If true, would be a repeat of 2018 and 2023 - promoting guys from within who definitely aren't ready for the job.

Really if you think about it, too much power and horrid staff personnel moves have ultimately done in our last 3 fired coaches. Andy's ridiculous moves at the end (Castillo and Washburn), Chip's total takeover before crapping the bed, Doug's utter devotion to Press Taylor.

Hopefully Howie/Lurie step in if Sirianni hopes to use the SB shine to promote Patullo. Save him from himself.

I think Michaels was confused about the timing of the last play. I think most Eagles fans were in the same boat. In our collective minds we knew the Patriots had time for two more plays. So when they threw it deep, in the back of our minds we're thinking that maybe, just maybe, there's still time left on the clock. So when the ball hit the ground, it took a moment to process that it was actually over. The Eagles players contributed to the confusion a bit too. They didn't instantly hop up celebrating either. They celebrated the incomplete pass and then slowly seemed to realize that they had actually won the game. There was a delayed reaction all around.

Harlan's call of the final play was better for sure. Merrill's too. Although Merrill actually had a pretty bad game too. He didn't even realize that Graham had strip sacked Brady, and he called Ertz as being the one who threw the Philly Special to Foles. Anytime those two calls are played now, they always edit out Merrill's confusion.

My heart still skips a beat when I see that ball floating around those guys falling to the ground.

If Patrick Robinson doesn’t pull it in the last second, that Pats receiver, whose name always slips my mind was in good position to catch the ricochet and possibly dive in the endzone.

Yup. Ertz was clearly a runner when he crossed the goal line. I thought Clement shifting the ball slightly might cost us. Glad it didn’t.

As bad as the defense was that day, the only thing about that game that I wish were different was the ending. I wish we had stopped them on the 4th and 10 back on their opening set of downs that last drive just so the realization we had won would have been immediate. Plus, it would have allowed Foles to end the game in victory formation.

Say what?  I guess you mean recent super bowls.  There have been a bunch of blowouts thru the years.

It's still crazy to think how close they really were to converting that into a TD.

Agreed. The only reason would be if they feel stuck because all their preferred candidates are gone.

We finally pulled it off and got some luck come to us in a monumental game. I will never forget that day/night and the extreme joy I had at the moment. Was on a plane flying back to Germany from the US and the flight attendant brought me a victory beer when she noticed me "quietly” celebrating the win.

i hope I don’t have to be on a plane again in order for the Birds to win another…😅

People are overlooking the Eagles blowout scenario because they're so afraid of the Chiefs, but it's a legit possibility.

I think the Chiefs will have to win a close game because they're not an explosive offense and I can't see them shutting down the Eagles offense.   But the Eagles could easily get a quick score or two in a short amount of time to create a lead.
