It's all scripted! They're all just puppets, Roger's the one pulling all the strings! Or maybe it's the Rothschilds. I keep forgetting who still has membership in the pentaverate these days.

.   Truth is, the day I come to believe that may actually be true, is the day that I've watched my last game.

Maurice Jones Drew predicting 45-42

Heard a stat this morning that the Eagles D is only allowing 11 points per game on turf in 5 games…5-0.  Fast D on a fast track…no way KC gets to 30 let alone 40

What I could see maybe happening is Patullo gets promoted to OC but they bring in Slowik as a passing game coordinator, which is what he was with the Niners.

Why would we bring in some re-tread failed OC as a passing game coordinator? He apparently had some contentious interview issue with Stroud in the pre-draft process: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10152543-report-cj-stroud-bobby-slowik-had-contentious-altercation-before-2023-nfl-draft He was mediocre with the Texans and got far too much credit for Stroud.

With all the issues our D-line had with the field in the last SB, is it an advantage for us that it’s being played on turf in a dome? Would be nice to be able to exploit something in our favor.

If you believe in conspiracies like this... then it doesn't have to happen eventually.  The league can manipulate the endings.  Or, maybe they can't/don't.

So just so we're clear, you think it's just by chance their last dozen playoff games have been in their favor?

Or when Hurts got destroyed in the media only to turn around and say "So that's what y'all wanted to see?".

Ah, you're saying Hurts isn't great. That's quite a turn for you!

I agree…athletes are always looking for extra motivation.  Michael Jordan did it all the time.  Hell, he’s even pretended someone disrespected him to give him more juice.  I forget the specifics, but I remember him saying that when asked about this topic

That would be something.   I'm hoping that's the outcome.

They all seem dialed in and hungry. I'll take the team out for revenge that's more talented.

That’s pretty much the going rate. 3/4 picking the Chiefs.

Yep…if you scroll down further you see the Eagles picks.  So only 1 out of 4.  I like that.

You think maybe it's possible that refs can have implicit bias towards star players, like Tom Brady and Pat Mahomes, without it needing to be some grand conspiracy where preferrential treatment was explicitly ordered by Goodell and cascaded down to all the refs who work Chiefs games?

Because he was good as passing game coordinator with the Niners. Being an OC is different from being a pass game coordinator. He wouldn't call plays as pass game coordinator.

Like I said, if I didn't think there was a chance of that, I'd be done with the NFL.  The odds may be long... but that doesn't mean that its not possible.

More than that, I think that the referees have a tendency to over protect the star QBs... not just Mahomes.   We see it with Mahomes more than others, partly because we are looking for it with him more often.  But, the Mannings used to get 'generous' roughing calls from the referees as well.   IIRC, Trent Cole was called for roughing on one of the Mannings (I think it was Peyton, but can't be certain now) when he hand grazed the top of his helmet.  It's a QB driven league that wants passing.  So, QBs that pass get protected.  QBs that run don't.

Great tweet.  People here treat Hurts like the worst QB in the league and it causes them to complain and hate watching the Eagles win with him.  Fact is, he's building a HoF resume and winning Sunday will go a long way to putting him one step closer to that.

Doing stuff like this makes us look delusional to other fanbases

It's ESP.   He's delusional.  And, anyone who posts his stuff like it matters is equally delusional.   ESP is a moron.  How he's made it as long as he has in this town is beyond my comprehension.

Correct, there is a bias towards star players. Mahomes is the face of the league. They're on the cusp of history. They have one of the most well known artists ever as a side piece. They absolutely have and will continue to be favorable towards KC. Thank you for proving my point.

To clarify, I don't think Goodell and the refs sit in a dark room and make a plan to win at all costs, but there will absolutely be biased against us.

We have to go into the game knowing they're going to have drives saved/extended. That's my point

Which is actually understandable from a neutral perspective. I hate to say it, but the Maholmes lead Chiefs are really good team, regardless of how their wins look. Yep, they also get pretty much every important call in their favor, but that shouldn’t take away the caliber of team that they have been. They have a big plus with coaching as well & in these games that means a lot.

We have played a couple of common opponents with the Chiefs and they have won all of those games. In some we won more decisive and in some they did. Plus they beat Atlanta, who we lost to.

It’s gonna take a superb effort on all fronts to slay the beast IMO. They will be gunning for Barkley and if they bottle him up to short gains or even losses, then it will come down to Jalen playing mistake free football and balling out like last time.

Ah, you're saying Hurts isn't great. That's quite a turn for you!

Coaches like to pull on heartstrings. It's part of the job. But when you are talking about professionals that are laser focused on preparing themselves for work, I don't believe for a minute that something as cheesy as positional player rankings posted on a locker is going to make a difference in how they perform on the field. Lane doesn't care if Sewell is also a great OT. He's trying to play to the best of his ability every play. Why? Because he is great. Sewell has no impact on Lane's performance.

Last time I checked, nobody else types for me, so you can type whatever, but just because you typed it in your post does not mean I said it in mine.

Finally, this all started with the idea that fans whining about the refs favoring the chiefs (aka Chefs) would somehow motivate the Chefs to play better. I give you my personal guarantee that the Chefs will still do Chef things and whine for a flag at every opportunity. It isn't going to turn them into a better team.

I’d argue slowik got scapegoated for the majority of the blame for the Texans downfall on offense this year when his offensive line was atrocious outside of tunsil and Howard. Their right side of the line and C position were miserable. Their best WR Collins missed 5.5 games. Their other two WRs in diggs missed 9 games and dell missed 3. Mixon missed 3 games. And Mixon was awful the last 6 games of the regular season. He was averaging 3.4 yards per carry over those 6 games and looked like he was running with cement blocks. I think slowik has blame in the Texans regression from 2023 to 2024 but some of this was your GM did an awful job with fixing their OL, they got crushed at WR with injury and Mixon fell off the last month and a half. Add on stroud slumped which is on slowik and stroud.

So when you said, "NFL is going to do everything in their power so that they three peat. " who exactly is the NFL in your scenario and how are they doing these things in their power?

Holding on JB part 2 while ignoring their OL holding.

Not giving the Bills a first

Screwing Houston multiple times

If you don’t play perfect and it's close the refs and the league will give it to KC

You seem to be confused by the question I asked.
