Is it me or does everyone act like the eagles didn’t just beat the chiefs last season?

I'm more confident the Eagles are laser-focused on this 60 minutes of football on Sunday than I am in the Chiefs.  I think Andy and Spags have a job ahead of them to fully prepare their guys for what the Eagles will bring.

Mahomes

Hurts

46-20 W/L

1248/1939 64.4% comp

14,667yds passing 85 TDs

3133yds rushing 55TDs

See what I mean by total stats not showing the whole picture? No? Good talk

What are you trying to get at? Only 4 less wins and 19 less TDs.

After this Sunday there will only be two QBs in the NFL who have started in at least two Super Bowls.  Jalen Hurts doing this at just 26 years old.  He is a top 5 Qab in the NFL, not even in his prime yet and if he wins the Super Bowl he is on track to making the Hall of Fame himself.

Your logic is reasonable as far as it goes, but Mahomes’ career isn’t only five years.  You are cherry picking your data.  Does anyone ever look at Terry Bradshaw’s first 5 years, or Roger Staubach’s first 5, or any other QB’s first 5?

Every other QB that has made the Super Bowl twice in their first 5 seasons is a Hall of Fame QB (assuming Russell Wilson makes it in).  Jalen Hurts is the only activd QB in Mahomes orbit when it comes to success he has led his team to and this is just at 26 years old.

Weren't you on here saying that Hurts was done for the year with a knee injury prior to the NFCCG??

What?

It's not a coincidence that our worst playoff performance had rusty Jalen Hurts off a concussion with a hobbled AJ Brown.

As long as Cam/Landon are at 80% or higher, we're all systems go to score 30.

As with the NFC CG, the first one to 40 wins this game too.    I know, Spags and the KC defense is better than before... but this offense can be something very very special when hitting on all cylinders, and we'll finally have all cylinders there, and ready to go.

With all the talk that the Chiefs are better, Sydney Brown might legitimately KO someone on the opening kickoff. Hope we kick it short.

If the Eagles win and the MVP is not Hurts, Saquon, or AJ, who is it?

Goedert, Carter or a defensive player that forces two turnovers.

If it were an ACL, I figure we'd have heard about it already.   The fact that he's going to try to play through it tells me its likely much more about pain tolerance and effectiveness.   He'll likely need surgery in a couple weeks, but if its a meniscus tear, depending on how bad it is, he could just play through it if the pain can be dealt with.   A friend of mine tore his meniscus and was able to keep playing amateur volley ball for months before he had it cleared up.   Granted, he couldn't walk down the stairs with his shoulders square, but he was able to manage until he was ready for the surgery.   Granted, that's very different from playing in the NFL, but it was all about pain tolerance for him.   When the time came, they just cut off the torn piece and sewed him up again.

And, he was a 45 year old broken down athlete with limited resources... not an NFL player with that training staff looking out for him... with fancy drugs, etc.

You had me at fancy drugs

He's had over 20 lawsuits for malpractice, negligence, fraud. He was on a 5 year probation in California from practicing medicine. He prescribed Junior Seau tons of Ambien before his suicide. DEA investigated him because he wrote more than 100 prescriptions to himself. He also allegedly wrote pain killer prescriptions for his partner who was addicted and even allegedly performed surgeries high. NFLPA basically forced him out from the Chargers the same time several hospitals barred him from performing surgery. Also he lost his ability to prescribe controlled substances due to everything else.

If you look into some of the lawsuits, one guy lost his leg because Chao performed the surgery but then immediately went to a nightclub and couldn't be reached when there were complications. Then he lied and said he was with his sick mother even though there was receipts he was buying bottles. Other people lost limbs due to negligence. It's a lot.

Wholly ish! Wow, that is awful...how does this guy even have any success with what he's doing now?

42-32 (late KC score).

It wasn't a great performance and they probably should have lost. It was eerily similar to the Panthers game this year.
