OK -- do I think there is some mandate from Park Avenue to the refs to assist the Chiefs? No - there is no formal policy or directive. That's conspiracy theory BS.

However, do I think the refs give the Chiefs, and in particular Mahomes, more calls than any other team/player in the league? Obviously - I mean, I do have eyes. And that's just the nature of being a star player and team to a large degree. Brady and Peyton got calls no one else would get. Is it worse with Mahomes? Yes. Is he doing more to draw the flags? Yes, since neither Tom nor Peyton were scrambling and doing fake slides. And the Chiefs as a team get the benefit of the doubt the same way the Pats did for years (unless you really think the Pats committed only 1 penalty in SB 52). As an example, no other team gets that PI call at the end of the Bengals game on a 4th down desperation heave, but the Chiefs do. I think it's worse with the Chiefs than even the Patriots because there was some animosity towards New England for the scandals that doesn't exist with the Chiefs.

But this isn't an NFL only issue. Michael Jordan got calls no one else would get -- he clearly pushed off on his shot to win his last finals, but it's Jordan so no chance it is called. Greg Maddux got extra room on the corner because he was Greg Maddux.

One of the more curious things about this is the NFLRA, via a proxy, commenting on the "perceived" bias. If there was nothing to worry about, why comment?  They made themselves look guilty by commenting.  They've only made it worse for themselves for when the Chiefs get their inevitable freebie game extending flag and the Eagles get the inevitable ticky tacky call against them. It won't go away now

We know Embiid has already dictated to the Sixers he's not playing back-to-back.

If only the Sixers had dictated to him that he's not missing back-to-back .....

I thought Embiid could only play 1 in every 10 games?

Not sure if anyone else saw this or mentioned it, but I saw an interesting question posed this week...

If you could choose, what would you rather in this game:

Up by 4 with the Chiefs having the ball with 2 min left
Down by 4 with us having the ball with 2 min left

Who would you trust more...the defense against Mahomes or Hurts and the O?

Our offense.

I like our defense a lot this year, and I think they'll step up. But I'd rather not see Mahomes magic plus the refs. Remember the Bradberry DPI?

That would be the perfect time for a Barkley home run TD to win the game.

Is it me or does everyone act like the eagles didn’t just beat the chiefs last season?

I mean so did the bills and that didn't mean anything almost two weeks ago.

I just hope the eagles have a two possession lead late. They always find a way to win.

I'm excited to see what Grimes can do next to Maxey.  He's a very good shooter and perimeter defender.

Looks like the only team that makes any sense at all to play in Australia is the Chargers. I can't see Rams giving up a home game against a division rival. Giants/Cowboys/AFC East would be like 5/6 hours extra travel time. Not gonna be the Chiefs. That leaves Chargers and NFC North TBD.

Philly's Fox 29 crew crashed Kansas City's Fox 4 live broadcast lol

When they cut back to the studio, their host looked pissed.

Same.  Player.  Maybe another shoe to drop here by tomorrow.

One of the last thing she said was "wow... that's a lot of beads"

She said that to Mike, he flashed all his beads at her then walked off camera.

There was the other clip where Mike showed up on a Philly live broadcast with some women he was partying with until 5am and he had the beads and a drink. He's living his best life!

So...we can stop arguing about an international game 2 seasons from now and talk about the Super Bowl game happening this week?

Whew.

In Goodell's league, Europe or Asia.

More karma.  The field too.  Now we have to see if BG makes his triumphant return as the Gladiator to slay the Emperor.

Good that opens us up for the NFL China Kick Off

This is probably the correct answer, when you factor in Mahomes' past performance as a future predictor.  ALTHOUGH, when you have the lead and the Number 1 defense, logically the converse should be the correct answer.

So I'm going with give me the lead and the D on the field to step up.  F the Chiefs.
