Scheelhasse staying with the Rams. We interviewed him last year for OC even though Sirianni couldn’t remember his name. Cross him off the list.

Tell me what she gains from it then that she didn't already have? She was a mega pop star before she was dating kelce, selling out a worldwide tour. You think she's gained more fans from a group over 25+ males?

A share of the increased NFL revenue for starters.  It isn’t about the revenue stream from her music.  It’s about creating new revenue streams.

Are you familiar with how influencers make their money?

He’s so damn likeable.

We'll see if things change when Moore becomes official.

Is Coen going to be more involved in the Jags Offense than McVay is in the Rams Offense?

He didn't play well overall against them last year.

14 for 22, 150 yards, 0 passing TD's, 1 Int, 5 sacks, 64.6 passer rating

12 rush attempts, 29 rush yards, 2 TD's

He did have an impressive 10 yard TD rush to be fair, and did enough to earn a 4QC and GWD. But it was either this or the Jets which was arguably his worst game all year in 2023.

Fair enough, i was to lazy to look at his actual stats against them last year i just knew they won lol.

OK -- do I think there is some mandate from Park Avenue to the refs to assist the Chiefs? No - there is no formal policy or directive. That's conspiracy theory BS.

However, do I think the refs give the Chiefs, and in particular Mahomes, more calls than any other team/player in the league? Obviously - I mean, I do have eyes. And that's just the nature of being a star player and team to a large degree. Brady and Peyton got calls no one else would get. Is it worse with Mahomes? Yes. Is he doing more to draw the flags? Yes, since neither Tom nor Peyton were scrambling and doing fake slides. And the Chiefs as a team get the benefit of the doubt the same way the Pats did for years (unless you really think the Pats committed only 1 penalty in SB 52). As an example, no other team gets that PI call at the end of the Bengals game on a 4th down desperation heave, but the Chiefs do. I think it's worse with the Chiefs than even the Patriots because there was some animosity towards New England for the scandals that doesn't exist with the Chiefs.

But this isn't an NFL only issue. Michael Jordan got calls no one else would get -- he clearly pushed off on his shot to win his last finals, but it's Jordan so no chance it is called. Greg Maddux got extra room on the corner because he was Greg Maddux.

I generally agree with this take, but the one thing that gives me pause is that it isn’t just the calls that Mahomes gets.

It’s the calls other teams don’t get. It’s the calls the chiefs defense gets.

I could totally understand the refs treating Mahomes like a Faberge Egg. That makes total sense. Call everything close to a late hit. But it doesn’t end there — they extend it all the way to basically legalizing holding by the chiefs offensive line. They extend it to every spot going the chiefs way not just when Mahomes is on the field but when the chiefs defense is on the field.

And then there is the timing. Most ref crews will let players play towards the end of games because they don’t want to be dictating outcomes. It’s the opposite with the chiefs — any time the chiefs need a call to stay on the field late, to extend a drive, to get off the field, to take the momentum… whatever it is they need within the particular situational context, they always seem to get it.

The whole Taylor Swift thing is stupid, but it would not surprise me at all if there is a gambling syndicate paying off refs, and if you combine that with normal super star bias, you get what we see which is egregious favoritism across multiple officiating crews.

Reminder: Chiefs got their first TD of the game in SB58 off a Niners muffed punt. Chiefs probably lose that game if not for that play. Niners blew that game in so many ways.

Shanahan and the offense lost that game early when their defense was stiffling kc but they couldn't put up many points. Their defense did their best but after 5 qtrs of letting kc hang around mahommes was too much.

They did a great job running against kc but for whatever reason stopped. Mccaffery fumbled inside kc 30 during their first drive. At one point in the third qtr they had consecutive three not calling a single run.  They also didn't do score even a fg from the int (I believe the only TO kc had) that set them up at kc 49.

Probably not different enough to justify moving from LA to Jacksonville.

I’ve wondered about this. I like Covey, but I don’t think I’d want him coming in and fielding punts in the SB after weeks of no game reps.

Yup, never was a doubt in my mind. Of course his haters were hating because his numbers were down.

Look... its hard to catch the ball with all the paper cuts on his fingers.  But, with 2 weeks between games, he's had some time to heal, and he finally figured out how his Kindle works, so he just does e-books now.  👍

The whole Swift/Kelce relationship is manufactured as a mutually beneficial publicity stunt.  The same reason TV shows cast popular musical artists.

Or is it merely a coincidence that she just so happens to be dating a future HOF player on one of the best teams, instead of some rando on the Jets?

No, I think she found a down to earth guy who has enough stature in the entertainment (NFL) business but because it is time limited as a player that it isn’t in his head as much so they can relate as normal people unlike her previous relationships. Second best looking Kelce beau.

Eagles have Kylie.  All three are pretty but Kylie wins with those cheekbones. Poor Jason if those girls inherit their mom’s looks. Better start cleaning that shotgun now.

Coop hasn't been the most reliable at fielding them cleanly either though.
