When are we trading for Fitz and Urlacher

Can't. We're actively working on a deal for TJ Houshmandzadeh

Devonta still limited. But I think they're just taking it easy on him considering he finished the NFCCG, has been walking around fine, and has given no indication he's even remotely questionable for the game. He's battled tweaked hammys off and on several times this season.

So Hurts having Brown and Smith is equivalent to if McNabb had TO and Ochocinco in their prime. McNabb would be in the HOF

McNabb was a choke artist.  Also highly inaccurate and felt the need to throw every pass as hard as he could.

Yeah he’s no Nick Foles

Watched this press conference from the Eagles official channel, the only thing I could find on Lurie doing media. No mention of comp picks here so it must be from something else. Couldn't find searching Twitter or Google.

Things he did say in this:

  • On the refs: the refs do the best job they can. The best way to handle that is not be in a close game, dominate like we did against Washington:flex:
  • Lurie killed the rumor, he has no interest in buying the Celtics.
  • On Running backs being replaceable: replaceability vs impact. They've always invested in RB (Watters, 2nd contracts for Westbrook & McCoy, signed Swift).
  • We "always" thought to pair a RB with a triple threat QB. There you go, Lurie wants a QB who can run.

Berman mentioned it on the PHLY podcast after Lurie’s press conference. Not sure if he talked to him on the side or with some others away from the media scrum.

Fat guy TDs are always fun... fat guy TD in the Super Bowl...

As fun as that was.... it still makes me sad that Payton never got a TD in that blow out.   He deserved better.

Amen. Giving Fridge that TD was a disgrace. Ditka should have been flogged.

Interesting that Van Noy picked the Eagles. Marlon Humphrey did as well. Could be anti-Chiefs bitterness, but Humphrey said having played both teams this seasons, he said he felt the Eagles were the best and toughest team the Ravens played.

He ain't lying. Little Ceasars pizza is not good.   It's on par with gas station pizza.

Now some of the other items on their menu are good. But pizza is 👎

It’s the only one of the major chains I’ve never had.

If Spags decides to stop or at least slow down Barkley, it can happen.  Hurts played well in both games.  He'll need to do so again.

That's the thing, they sell out to stop saquon and hurts has the ability to beat them. If they're determined to just blitz all over, saquon will break one

I lost respect for Payton after his attitude was revealed. You just won a Super Bowl, dude. Stop being selfish.

I'm foolishly optimistic about this game. Just up and down we have a far superior roster outside of QB. Honestly, it should be a double digit ass whooping with us coming out victorious. We'll see if the officials let that happen or not.

Our defense is far superior than the 2022 defense with better coaching, their offense is worse than 2022 with the same coaching. It took getting gifted a defensive TD when hurts dropped the ball and a penalty in the 4th quarter on a ball that was never going to be caught (i know catchability doesn't matter for holding and i don't care, everything about that rule is Fing stupid) after not calling ish all game for the chiefs to win last time.

It really comes down to the defense. Saquon is gonna get his. Super bowl, on his birthday, behind this line. He's eating. The defense just needs to force one turnover and make one extra stop and the game is ours.

Rather be in here. Been in here all year. Don’t want to change it up now with everything on the line

At the end of the day, I'd really like to have all of the Super Bowl game day posts in the game day thread. If some would REALLY rather post in here, I can go with it but I may come in here on Monday or Tuesday and move all of the posts from about 6PM (maybe 5PM) through the end of the game when all is said and done, into the game day thread.

Same.  I think KC is walking into a buzzsaw (and I don't mean it like they don't understand the challenge; I mean we are just going to overwhelm them on O and D).  I don't care about jinxes, the refs, Mahomes magic or F all.
