Sad to say, but Jerry keeps bringing to mind that Rodney Dangerfield bit about old age, with these families having to decide what to do

I know I complain about him a lot lately, and rightfully so but I do believe his age is definitely becoming an issue. He just lives in his own world.

Once an asset to the NFL owners group he is declining quickly imo.

May he live and work as GM for 15 more years!  🤠

Did I hear correctly the Commanders have 100k in cap space along with the draft picks? They are going to be a problem. Watch them sign Williams.

If it were only $100k that wouldn't be much of a problem.   I think you mean $100M.  Big difference.

he will get killed in line

Perhaps, but if you check out Saquon's long runs, he throws key blocks in a lot of them. My point was, since you clearly missed it, that he's a much better blocker than Ertz. He's come a long way.

Right now, I feel really good about this matchup. Surprisingly confident. This Chiefs team reminds me of the 2017 Pats: not elite, but had GOAT at QB and a few star players.

They have mainly 3 stars... Mahomes, obviously; Chris Jones on defense and an aging Kelce.   Ertz showed that an aging Kelce can be very dangerous for this team though.

The scariest matchup is Spags' creative blitzes against Stoutland's protections.  We've seen all year that this team is susceptible against blitzes, especially when we reach the edge of FG range.  Teams have blitzed this team in that spot all year to great success.  They need a counter to that.  Of course, if they can take advantage of the overt aggression, they can really make them pay if they handle it right.

Although the Vegas line started off having the Eagles at +2 (Has moved to +1.5 - meaning "smart money” is on the Eagles) looks like the FPI index (advanced stats) is giving the Eagles a 56% chance to win.

So we’re slight underdogs according to Vegas and slight favorites according to advanced stats.

So do they treat this week like a bye week, ie rest, rehab and study or is it straight to two weeks of practice?

Normally they use this week to install the game plan before they go into the circus environment that is the Super Bowl week.  Radio row, all the parties, etc.   Not as much time to focus on football, so they need to pretty much have all the work done ahead of time.

The Eagles just need to be ready for a blitz on every play.  It would certainly help to get Jurgens and Dickerson back too.

To me, the entire game will come down to whether the defense can force turnovers.  I keep telling myself that a game will come along where it won't happen, but not yet.

If the defense doesn't force turnovers, I think it will be a back and forth game.

He's got a point about 4th and 2

Yeah I was shocked after they didn’t go for it on 4th and 2 after hitting all the previous 3rd and 4th down conversions.

Us only giving up a FG on that dive, given the circumstances, was a huge win, imo.

I wonder which coaches Moore is going to raid from our staff, specifically the defensive side.

We’ll have to wait two weeks and meanwhile a bunch of OC jobs will fill up with tue best candidates.

Crazy how we get absolutely hosed every year we make a SB run. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have lost like one OC in the past five years.

That's because every thinks (knows) that the offense is Andy's deal.  So the OC isn't looked at as 'the man'.  But, when you have a CEO HC, this is the result.  Even with Doug, we were double poached... DeFilippo to OC for the Vikings, and then Reich late to the Colts because of the turd from New England.  Doug wasn't looked at as the mastermind for the offense, because he had come from the Andy tree, and Andy casts a large shadow.

This will be the norm around here if the success continues with a CEO HC.  Gotta find ways to reload the brain trust.   That was Andy's downfall here in Philly.  They got poached up, and he couldn't refill with the same quality.   But, now in KC, Spagnuolo is his new JJ... and the book is out that the OC in KC is second fiddle.  The main goal should be to find an old grizzled OC, likely a failed HC from years gone by... just like Fangio, but for the offense.  Reich might be the ideal candidate, honestly.

I just want to play one frigging SB without losing a offensive coordinator. 3 in a row!
