First time eligible players and one coach for the 2026 class include:

Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Jason Witten, Frank Gore, Philip Rivers, Bill Belichek...who makes it?

Rivers has a bunch of stats but no ring. Playing in the same conference as Brady and Peyton will do that though

It’s been a long week and the weekend is finally on the horizon. Sunday can’t get here fast enough. I, as probably all here, want this fun and super successful Eagles season capped off with a second SB victory. This team just deserves that trophy this year and it would be a shame if they came up short.

An extremely likable team (as an Eagle fan) with some real classy and humble stars, foremost Saquon Barkley. This dude is one hell of a person and a true leader. He’s been more to this team and city besides his play on the field. I hope he gets the opportunity to run all over the Chiefs and leads this team to victory.

Lets Gooooo!!! 🦅

My first game was in 1959 (Browns at Franklin Field) and this team is the most likeable of any Eagles team in all those 65 years. Foles and Co. are a close second, but Fangio’s impact on the Defense ekes out the win.

I almost hate that it’s used for players for the HoF too…see Eli.  It’s a weird catch 22.

Yeah, Eli is in the Hall of Very Good, not Hall of Fame. They won those two rings because of their defense just as much as anything.

I think Rivers deserves it over him personally.  You can’t deny his 2 rings and SB MVP’s.  We may be jaded as Eagles fans since he was a giant, but there wasn’t a single point in Eli’s long career where we even worried a single bit about Eli.  He was our B in the regular season and playoffs.  I think it will be interesting to watch.

I really need to dive into this class and how many times they’ve been up.  Sharpe seems like a weird choice.  Gates is one of the best to do it at his position (almost revolutionized the position creating the modern TE).  Allen, I never considered him one of the GOATs, but stat wise, his career is 100% HOF worthy.

There was no point in his career that Eli was considered a top 5 QB. He shouldn't be a hall of famer, but New York bias, the 2 wins over Brady and his last name will get him in eventually. The fact that he will be a hall of famer, and someone like McNabb isn't even a semi-finalist (no, Donovan shouldn't be in either, but should get more consideration than Eli), is ridiculous.

Brees and Fitz walk in next year.

No one in the 2026 grouping besides brees and Fitz are HOF worthy. A lot of really good but not HOF worthy players. Gore will get in cause he played for 100 years

Witten is a top 5 TE of all time IMO…

He's just saying what a lot of us have been saying. Hurts steers while the rest of the ship (the team) carries him 😉

Gotta have both.

Norv Turner as your HC for however long will also do that to you.  Turner and Jeff Fisher are 2 that IDK how they held onto jobs for such ridiculously long periods.

Rivers will get in eventually - the numbers are undeniable. Blocked by Brady, Peyton and Big Ben. We might see something similar with Burrow, Lamar and Allen years from now -- all blocked by Mahomes.

NHL Trade Deadline today...  Any Flyers fans with inside scoops or predications?

As much as I love EA, let's hope they don't retire 21. Gotta keep that great number in circulation.

I’ve made the case with Philip Rivers that statistically he is a better quarterback. He just didn’t have the playoff success that Eli did. Whether i agree with it or not, think both get in at some point.

sterling sharpe’s numbers are pretty impressive due to the era he played in and career got cut short due to a neck injury. We see holt and Wayne and even Steve smith and are like he doesn’t have numbers close to them. But really he played his entire career in an era where it was much tougher to play the position and If he didn’t get his career cut short his numbers look immense better. He also didn’t have great QB play most of that time in GB. Favre didn’t get there til 92

Fitz should be in most peoples discussion for GOAT at WR…sadly the teams he played lack of success overshadowed his absolute dominance.  The combo of him as a player and human might make him the GOAT of any position.  That dude is such a great human being too.

The manning name is also going to carry weight to get him in too.

I'd be downright shocked if he and Brees aren't in the 2026 class.

He played in the playoffs with a torn ACL.

Paul George would have called Dr. Kevorkian

No take backs trying to jinx the Birds

Unanimous…Brees there is a small argument to be made with him and a few others on the list of who is more deserving.  Brees will more than likely start his fitting for his jacket any day now though too.

Absolutely.

He is usually clutch. Even in my criticisms I have always admitted that much.

I think he plays well

They definitely want to keep people betting, too. All about that money, even if people don't want to admit it.

I dislike the cowboys, but Jason witten has an outside shot. He is currently ranked 2nd in receiving yards and receptions all time for a tight end (Tony Gonzalez is who’s ahead of him) and 6th for TDs. I don’t think he should be a first ballot but based off the competition i wouldn’t rule out if he did.

Which itself is wild.  Archie if not for his sons is not even a blip in the NFL history books.  In fact he’s on the bad side of most history books.

Does Vegas make more if the Eagles lose?

We're kind of already seeing it now. Herbert would be the most impacted being in the same division as Mahomes and like Rivers experienced.. a bad team

Once again the AFC is pretty stacked with QBs

Not this year. They're Eagles fans.
