Dude just had his first sack ever a week ago. He’s coming along nicely but these Twitter dudes are always so over the top.

Pass rush win rate is the new vogue thing.  Production isn't the goal... advanced metrics is.   Ojomo is a great rotational piece.  I don't like the idea of him coming into the Milton Williams role for next year though.  I think that's a massive downgrade.

I just want to play one frigging SB without losing an offensive coordinator. 3 in a row!

And we’ll lose the QB coach along with him. It wouldn’t shock me if a defensive assistant ends up a DC. Namely Parker.

Zone.

in some schemes yep.

Then in some others…

I’m thinking DeJean.  Q, Slay and CJ should be fine handling Worthy/Juju/Hopkins etc

Why not have DeJean on him?

Yeah I was shocked after they didn’t go for it on 4th and 2 after hitting all the previous 3rd and 4th down conversions.

Us only giving up a FG on that dive, given the circumstances, was a huge win, imo.

That felt like a major win.   Quinn blinked there.   He got aggressive again with the fake punt... but lost the nerve again later.  But, the Eagles really just beat them down with the turnovers.  They lost the ability to be aggressive on 4th downs, because they just couldn't hold on to the ball.

And that will be huge for this game.  The Eagles must absolutely generate at least 2 turnovers, but will likely need 3 to win the game.

We could just promote Doug Nussmeier to OC. OC of the Eagles >>> OC of the Saints.

Other than needing 3 turnovers to win I agree with everything else.  They sure would help but I don’t think 2-3 turnovers is "necessary” for us to win.

Winning the "turnover battle” is more important, imo.  (Us not giving up turnovers)

The main plan needs to be to play zone, keep eyes on Mahomes and limit the big play.  Death by a thousand cuts is a preferred method, especially early in the game, because it gives more opportunities for a group tackle strip of the ball.

From time to time, they will need to get aggressive, bring 5 (maybe even 6) and play man on the back end.  But those need to be the exception, not the rule, and they need to be well timed and well executed.  Mainly, the front 4 are going to need to win upfront, while also keeping Mahomes contained so that he can't extend plays.

But against a guy like Mahomes, you need to play a lot of zone, because man to man just won't be able to keep these guys locked up for 3+ seconds.  Zone can do that... and gives the front a chance to constrict the pocket... and allows the defenders to see and react to Mahomes when he escapes.

I'm counting on multiple drive extending penalties to be called against us, which are almost like a turnover as you lose a possession, even if it doesn't go into the books that way.

To be fair, they only got 1 turnover in SB57 but it was a big one.

Guys make sure you add the "N” if you’re Twitter searching for Clint Hurtt, otherwise you won’t like what find.

And the Eagles generated none.  Lost by one possession.  This game will likely also pivot on turnovers.  And for comfortability, I think the Eagles need to generate 2, maybe 3.

That punt from deep in our own end, followed by the long return to inside the 10 was also equivalent to a turnover in terms of how the game played out.  It provided a quick turn around for the defense and no margin for error with the extremely short field.   That punt and the FG attempt rather than going for it on 4th down early in the 4th quarter were the major turning points of the game.   As costly as that turnover by Hurts was in that game, the Eagles were able to recover and still managed to take a 10 point lead into the half, despite that scoop and score.  The second half is where it really unraveled.   The defense couldn't force a stop, and the offense couldn't keep up in the track meet.  In SB 52, Doug went for 2 massive 4th downs in spots where 'conventional' wisdom says to kick... the Philly Special was a conventional FG kick, and the drive where the Eagles got the TD with Ertz to take the 5 point lead, they should have punted on 4th and 1 from mid-field only trialing by 1.  But, Doug made the right call both times... and both times they converted, making the call look even smarter.

Nick needs to be that level of aggressive in SB 59, especially with Jake looking shaky on longer kicks (and even PATs.  Going for 2 should be on the table after each score as well... depending on the score, regardless of the time on the clock.

I was just looking to possibly order one and noticed the only two options for the "Super Bowl patch” jerseys are midnight green and black.  I’m assuming those are the two options for the Eagles to wear as the home team.

No Kelly Green or White is available with the Super Bowl patch.

Reed is good in zone coverage, but not man coverage. Good news is we play zone way more than man.

Also good news that pre-snap alignments make for disguising zone coverage so much easier than disguising man coverage.

Sorry, meant to say SB52. The only turnover they had was the BG strip sack which changed the course of the game. I agree with your points though.

That's true too.  That game was an anomaly to anything we ever grew accustomed to as Eagles fans. .  In the biggest moments, we were trained to expect the worst... and that night, everything that needed to happen in the biggest moments did.

4th and goal before the half - Philly Special.

Brandin Cooks on a flanker sweep, with one man to beat - Rodney McLeod body slams him as he tried to hurdle him.

Brandin Cooks running around all over the place - Malcolm Jenkins ends his night.

Need a big play to take back the momentum - deep pass to Corey Clement at the end line of the end zone.

4th and 1 with 5 minutes left, trailing by 1 - completion to Ertz for the conversion.

3rd and 6 in the red zone, trailing by 1 - TD to Ertz on the inside move.

Brady with the ball in his hands down less than a TD with 2 minutes left - BG strip sack.

Brady with chance for Hail Mary to tie with 2 point conversion - Patrick Robinson knocks it away after the initial deflection, time expires...   EAGLES WIN!!!

Magical night.  Super Bowl 59 wasn't as magical.  Too many mistakes and missed opportunities.  I want the magic back!

In case you're like me and wondering why the F he keeps referring to glory holes, per one of the comments, I guess it actually has more than one meaning unbeknownst to me and probably many others.

Perhaps, but if you check out Saquon's long runs, he throws key blocks in a lot of them. My point was, since you clearly missed it, that he's a much better blocker than Ertz. He's come a long way.

Calcaterra is a better blocker than Ertz? What the F?
