Pass rush win rate is the new vogue thing.  Production isn't the goal... advanced metrics is.   Ojomo is a great rotational piece.  I don't like the idea of him coming into the Milton Williams role for next year though.  I think that's a massive downgrade.

The more I see of Ojomo, the more I like what I see. Might be the most underrated defender now that Baun is getting his due.

Does Fangio leave if we win? Feels like the perfect ending for him. Just wondering.

Serious? F no.

Fangio has to love coaching this young defense.....what a turn around in one year.

Guys make sure you add the "N” if you’re Twitter searching for Clint Hurtt, otherwise you won’t like what find.

He also mentioned recently he has no interest in a HC position so I doubt he would go anywhere.

I wonder which coaches Moore is going to raid from our staff, specifically the defensive side.

That's what pisses me off the most about this BS. These f'ing crappy teams have to keep raiding our staff anytime something goes right.

He has his dream job he said living at home being near his family. He isn't leaving. Now,  the DL coach may which really sucks.

This is a perfect scenario for Fangio to be here long term, Howie keep the talent coming in.

Competitive NFL teams are looking for OC hires, Fangio likely already had his shot in DEN. Even with another year of a top 3 defense I doubt his phone rings much.

Age, PA native, and I'm sure no one looks over his shoulder.......Vic runs the show on defense.

I hope so. It would be nice to have some consistency in the coaching staff to keep this run alive as long as possible.

Reed is good in zone coverage, but not man coverage. Good news is we play zone way more than man.

Oh for F’s sake.  Safeties don’t play a lot of Man (zero coverage) in the NFL.  Mostly variations of zones and even in the most likely coverage with a S in Man (Cover 1 variations) at least one S is in "zone” and that most likely is the FS, the position Reed plays. Thing is that a significant portion of presnap looks that Fangio gives is two deep Ss.  He kind of does a little of a variation of Saban’s (and Belichek’s) Cover 1 at times where the Ss read and that read determine which S drops and which plays downhill towards a receiver.  This is where you really get to see what Reed excels at.

I suspect this comes from Parker and his staff, and suspect that Kasper’s hand is involved in this a lot.  Pre bye, the backfield communication wasn’t there.  (It was nonexistent last year with the revolving door at S.)  Post bye, the communication has been good bordering on excellent.  (Frankly, I think that is why McCollum is ahead of Brown on the org.  But when Reed was out, the communication in the backfield slipped a little at first. But then mostly snapped in place. I think McCollum was adjusting to the communication duties.) The Ss have to communicate with the CBs and LBs in coverage so that the handoffs in zone or the protection over the top is understood.  That narrows gaps.  Reed is excellent at it but the difference between this year and last is significantly impacted by the communication.  Frankly, Q and Coop are pretty damn good but that communication we are seeing in the back seven is real noticeable when watching the All22  I think Reed is the catalyst on the field and the secondary coaches have driven that communication need home. Even CJGJ is playing with more discipline, perhaps a sign he is maturing.

Now that said, playing press would not be Reeds forte but that said, Fangio plays little press and when he does, it’s almost always only the CBs. (Somebody commented about Slay lining up ten yards deep earlier, well Slay isn’t particularly good at press, Q surprisingly because he didn’t really press in college is quite good at it.)

We’ll have to wait two weeks and meanwhile a bunch of OC jobs will fill up with tue best candidates.

Crazy how we get absolutely hosed every year we make a SB run. Meanwhile, the Chiefs have lost like one OC in the past five years.

Probably because in many aspects, the OCs under Reid have been OCs in name only. Are any of them even above .500 as a head coach after leaving? People always talk about the Reid coaching tree, but they were predominantly from the defensive side of the ball.

Hopefully Moore spurns the job. And if not he doesn’t loot the staff. I think Nussmeier would definitely be gone though.

I do think it’s interesting no reports have come out about the Eagles trying to keep him by giving him a raise or whatever like we saw with the Bucs and Coen.

I think Nick has saved a few plays for this Superbowl that we have never seen. Same with Reid. End of day, Andy is going to have to really outcoach Sirianni to win this one and I think Nick knows that. The key here will be to get a lead because this Chiefs Superbowl edition isn't that explosive. They dink and dunk and take awhile to score. While we have game breakers everywhere. Grab a 2 possession lead and I will feel pretty good about our chances...as long as Fangio scraps that prevent defense.

Overall, I think Chiefs defense isn't as good as 2 years ago and the same applies for the offense. While I think this Eagles roster is better than the 2022 roster. With major edges at linebacker, running back and punter. And an upgrade with DeJean and Mitchell at Cornerback. This team also has great depth with guys like Burke and Hunt coming in and not missing a beat.

Unfortunately, the game isn't played on paper. We got surprised with a slippery field and a phantom call last time to upend everything. But licking my chops here for revenge, as I'm in KC alot with family and know the area well.

This is just in general over mahomes career as starter, but since Mahomes has taken over as the starting quarterback, the last two years with Matt Nagy as OC has been the worst scoring producing with mahomes as starting QB. They averaged 21.8 and 22.6 over the last two seasons. Prior to that they averaged 35.3, 28.2, 29.6, 28.2 and 29.2. Some of this is lack of great playmakers in 2023 and guys got hurt. (also oline isn’t as great as it was early and even 2022 with mahomes). Some they’ve transformed into more of a defensive team with mahomes coming up big in big spots. But there’s definitely been a significant drop off in their offense since Nagy became OC

Nah.  I think he’s finally found his home and the perfect players for his system.   I have a feeling he’ll be around for a few more years.

The only good thing about losing KM is it's happening early this time so Howie can look for his replacement before a week after the SB. Hopefully, he saw the writing and is speaking with Frank or whomever. They also are hopefully telling the DL coach he can become DC here in a few years when Vic retires vs going to a crappy NO team nobody wanted to go coach.

How embarrassing for McCarthy and the cowboys.

Cowboys keep McCarthy over Moore

McCarthy continues to suck

Moore potentially beats out McCarthy for a HC job

cowboys had the better coach, and made the wrong decision.
