Alright, 31 hours away what’s everyone’s temperature check?

Not gonna lie, I’ve had more nerves about this one than either of the last 2.

I do think we have the team that can win, but I think I’m still living through the PTSD of the last one lol.

Plus I’m more hoping to get this one for my son. He was still pretty young with 52, but got to live through the disappointment of 57.

Would love to have this one for him more so than even my own satisfaction.

Bring it home, boys!

Less nervous this time vs. 2 years ago.  Had a bad feeling then for some reason.

Right now there's a quiet confidence similar to 2017 that we are the superior team and will handle business.

Interesting all the controversy about Lamar Jackson not winning the mvp award.  I realize it’s a regular season award, but the guy is average at best in the playoffs and consistently irrelevant in the chase for the SB…you going to just give him the MVP award every year?

Hes not even close to the most valuable player in the league.

The controversy should be about why its a QB only award... and that comes out in spades this year.  Barkley, not Jackson, should be the focus of the outrage.

1st play of the game is going to be the new TE sweep to Goedert or a play action off of that with AJ Brown deep. Seeing them run it twice in the NFCCG leads me to think they want to build from it. Catch KC off guard and set the tone.

I think first offensive play will be play action and a short pass to D. Smith. Probably want to get Hurts into some sort of rhythm if possible from the get go. We’ll know early which Hurts shows up.
If that succeeds, Saquon will go off as the game moves forward.

In all honesty, there is never a big Eagles game that I feel or have felt completely confident in a win. Yeah, too negative, but can’t get those close losses (except 2017/2018) out of my head.

This team is one, if not the best Eagles team I’ve ever witnessed. And such a likable team with plenty of humble and good character players.

Winning this one would be very close to the feeling of winning the first one.

We have the roster to beat the Chiefs

me way lose, but this team is better than we were two years ago. The chiefs are weaker than 2 years ago

I’m gonna call it now. The Chiefs first offensive play will be a bomb. Kinda like what Reid did with Vick and Jackson in that Monday Night Massacre in Washington. Probably against Slay.

I can see that. I think Reid goes up tempo first two drives. He wants the lead in this game and then will try to squeeze the clock and be in position late with Mahomes. He knows they will be overmatched for long stretches.

His friends used to call him "Wilbert".  ;)

Could see that being their first play. Try to hit Worthy on a go route.

Would like us to get the ball in the second half. Would be great to get a stop on them on their first possession.

I can already see the first play of the game. Everyone lines up, Jake Elliott kicks the ball, it goes into the end zone for a touchback.

America witnesses the most dynamic play right off the bat.

I was living in San Francisco back in the late 90's/early 2000's.  Was driving through the city and saw a shop and it said Philly Cheesesteaks and banged a hard U-turn.  Went in and ordered.....something was served to me on f'ing Sour Dough Bread with Carmalized Onions and I guess beef/steak and I was like....."you should be ashamed of yourself" and "take any mention of Philly Cheesesteak down off your f'ing windows!!".  It's amazing that anywhere, any place can put "Philly Cheesesteak" and thing it's actually a Philly Cheesesteak.  And yes, always been partial to Jim's on South Street....grew up knowing the owner and his sons.

I like sour dough, but only on the Schlotzky's Turkey Original. Whenever I go into a shop to order a sub and they call it a 'cheesesteak', I call it a steak and cheese. Because in my mind, it's only in Philly where you can get a cheesesteak.

You know, it's really funny but I've been an Eagles fan since I was 7 and that was around the time Rocky came out so I knew of Philly the city, from that movie. I've never been there, but having grown up as an Eagles fan all my life, I'm 'loyal' to Philly as if I was born and raised there my whole life when in fact I was born in Maryland (near D.C.), lived there for 19 years and then I've lived in southern Virginia for 30+ years after I got out of the Army (having lived in Texas for a few years) lol.

I almost just said f it and booked....2k round trip (so 4k for the Mrs and me), 3k tickets (so another 6k)....but would need to figure out Logging for Sunday night (we'd fly out tomorrow morning returning Monday evening.

Problem is...just started a new job (In sales and I do remotely) and I actually have a prospect call at 2pm on Monday with a massive potential client/deal.  I'd have to call the new boss and be like...are you cool with me going and taking the call from New Orleans and it just seems like a bad look. And...I'd still have to figure out where to stay.  But...10k'ish for a great f'ing trip, once in a lifetime...I'm really considering it....

Yup...I plunged in on Weds Night...I am going with my oldest daughter and yes I do consider it a once in a lifetime opportunity. The ticket prices right now  are about as low as it will ever get for a Super Bowl. I gave up on the idea of finding a reasonably priced hotel room. We are flying out at 5am pst from San Francisco and should arrive 3 1/2 hours before game time. With the added security for the President and federal and national guard troops everywhere, we are hoping to get an uber/taxi that gets us pretty close.

The only concern is going to be getting back to the airport right after the game. We will have a tight 3 hour window to catch our redeye flight. We will likely have to hoof it a bit to find an area where we can access uber/taxi and I anticipate that will be chaotic. I can't sleep on airplanes so I expect to be up for about 30hrs but what an adventure.

Hate to tell you, Matt but as we have met, I can honestly say she is more attractive than both us geezers combined.

I kind of thought that but against Q.  My reaction is that Q intercepts the ball, I turn to the wife and say, "all he does is make interceptions in the playoffs”, to which she responds "huh?”.  I turn to her and say the Blog would get that reference.
