Let me preface this by saying this is purely PTSD speaking.

 

All day I have been terrified about tomorrow. Not even because of the opponent or Mahomes or the refs or anything about Kansas City. Just the fact about how devastating a loss would be given how the entire season went. It would ruin everything about Saqoun Barkleys year. It would ruin not going for the record even though I barely cared. It would ruin Brandon Grahams retirement. Losing 2 Super Bowls in 3 years might be something that really breaks this team for good. I don’t want to be the 90’s Bills and have everything mean nothing. I didn’t feel this way last time because I was still on a 52 high but now I feel completely different. Eagles HAVE to win. 

I don’t even feel good putting this out there but I’ve been thinking about it all day long.

I’ve been pretty nervous myself and I think a lot comes from how they lost in 2022. 
 

The Eagles are a much better team and it shouldn’t really be that close but I feel the inevitability of the Chiefs weighing on me.

I feel very confident. This team has Barkley & the #1 defense, Fangio, and lessons from the last SB. They are focused, aggressive, hungry. If Chiefs win, they'll have to fight for it.

Me and the wife were recently watching season 1. I dont think she got in to the show last time until a bit later so I wanted her to see those episodes.

Honestly, I think it probably got better as it went on later in the show. I think its better once Jenny is in the league, and with that said, she may be the best character. 

Kevin is like the big man child. Taco is an idiot. Rafi is completely over the top. Andre is the butt of so many jokes, I really appreciate him too.

Great show. One of those shows where their creations become part of regular language in the real world.

Eskimo Brothers really became a thing used by people who actually have no idea about the show. It just became part of the english language. If the show was more well known, youd hear a lot more about vinegar strokes and fear boners too. Im sure there are many more that fit the bill that I just dont really remember.

I had similar sentiment a couple weeks ago when their passing game didn’t look good. that Moore, hurts and the passing offense need to figure their crap out cause we don’t know when we will have another great opportunity like this. You don’t know when you’re gonna be back here. The fact that we got back two years later and three times in the last seven years is pretty amazing. But it is not guaranteed in the future that this roster stays as good as it is. Imo best eagles roster I’ve seen in my lifetime. You hope it does because we’ve done good drafting. But you don’t know how health is going to be going forward. Ask the lions this year. And you don’t know what guys are gonna be able to keep. Or how long some guys like fangio and stoutland are going to keep coaching. So you have an opportunity to win a Super Bowl. That opportunity might not come around again for a while. It took us from 1980 to 2004 to get back. And then it took us another 13 years to get back. So seize the opportunity.

Unlike the Kansas City Chiefs who have Reid (whenever he finally hangs them up) and mahomes, we are built more on having an elite roster than a generational Qb. That’s not a slight to hurts cause i don’t think anyone is in mahomes class. just that there’s a reason mahomes is on the cusp of winning 4 SBs in 7 years as a starter.

Williams is always injured so probably something in his physical Id guess.

Its been under-reported but the 6ers got forced to add an extra pick to their Caleb Martin deal as well because of his injury. Apparently they didnt disclose it clearly enough? Had to end up adding an extra 2nd round pick in.

I get where you're coming from. I feel this is one of the best Eagles teams ever assembled in my time as a fan. And I don't believe KC is as good as some of their previous year's teams. If we can't win tomorrow, I can't think of what else Howie can do to get us past this point.

It definitely got better after first season. Frankly it was as good at the end as it was throughout. Some of the times shows like that the end isn’t as good as the beginning or the middle. And you understand why they took it off the air or why they didn’t wanna do any more episodes. But the end of that show was just as good as the middle seasons. The only episodes that I thought were kind of over the top and just bizarre were the dirty Randy and Raffi episodes. Frankly i really didn’t care for their standalone episodes.

i use quotes from that show all the time. It’s a very quotable show.

Jenny being a slot wr diva and against short players were two good episodes. Sproles was in the episode where she was a heightist. 

i still go back to ruxin being my favorite. He has a bunch of good one lines. Like baby Geoffrey forever unclean. 

 Almost a year ago I had a dream the eagles won the SB and AJ Brown was part of a critical play. I do not have a lot of dreams so this was notable and since I could not find my journal to write in I emailed myself. Hopefully my dream comes true 🤞

I’m feeling very confident in the Eagles tomorrow. The SB loss two years ago was very close to being a 2+ score game for the Eagles. The Eagles beat them last year in the regular season with both teams coming off a bye. I’m seeing 31-20 Eagles. 
 

The Eagles run game is just too good, and that’s one of the best tools to lean on in the playoffs.
