Today is important for a lot of people but none more so than Jalen Hurts.  He needs a W today.

In fairness to those who have taken my justified criticism of Hurts very personally,  I would like to remind everyone something I said earlier this season,  which I think it's about to be proven wrong.

I said that the Eagles will not win a Super Bowl with a Hurts at QB.  People pointed to how well he played in the last one but I said,  hes never played at that level again and never will.  That part may be true,  but I think this team is about to win a super bowl with him at QB.

My hope today is the Eagles win their second Super Bowl and join that elite club of teams that won more than one.

And how about those character shaped ice pops?

Remember These After School Snacks from Mickey Mouse?! : r/80s

They’d sell the Mickey bars for 35 cents and the orange push ups for a quarter at the school cafeteria when I was in kindergarten (‘82) - that’s probably roughly a dollar nowadays.

Aside from the obvious, that was something I really wanted two years ago. LII will always be special being the first, but now I want to be in the list of teams that won multiple.

For me, it’s the years of frustration of listening to "how many Super Bowls do the Eagles have” comments. Granted those comments went away after SB 52 but I think now, other teams have won multiple times why not us? Hopefully today will be that day we break that jinx.

Since like 2000....for as good as this team has been, for as long as they have been, feels like we should have 3 or 4 Super Bowls victories.....so no crying over spilt milk....get #2 today!  LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

WTF is this text?

Glad I'm not the only one who looked at that and said WTF? Is this a cartoon or the biggest event in sports?

Duce was the natural pick at #22 but based on how the old guys rave about this dude he deserves to have his picture up here on this great Eagles' day.

Good call.

He was very close to that level last game and he has always played his best in the biggest games and in the biggest moments.  Today is huge for him.

Let me preface this by saying this is purely PTSD speaking.

All day I have been terrified about tomorrow. Not even because of the opponent or Mahomes or the refs or anything about Kansas City. Just the fact about how devastating a loss would be given how the entire season went. It would ruin everything about Saqoun Barkleys year. It would ruin not going for the record even though I barely cared. It would ruin Brandon Grahams retirement. Losing 2 Super Bowls in 3 years might be something that really breaks this team for good. I don’t want to be the 90’s Bills and have everything mean nothing. I didn’t feel this way last time because I was still on a 52 high but now I feel completely different. Eagles HAVE to win.

I don’t even feel good putting this out there but I’ve been thinking about it all day long.

We're going to skull f them.

Sorry guys, we don't have SB52 without him. He changed the direction of this team. Pre-injury Wentz was a better version of the current NFL MVP. The discussion about post ACL/concussion Wentz has been had, but there's no denying the impact he had here. He was trending towards special.

This year will go down as the greatest Eagles season by the greatest Eagles team.  All they have to do is win today.

I agree he deserves a mention here.  We don't get to the game in SB 52 without the year Wentz had in '17  There were a couple of numbers with two guys (23, 22, and 18) but 11 had three worthy of getting their picture here today and for a variety of reasons.

I was telling a friend of mine earlier tonight, I'm very confident but what worries me the most is a key player or two getting injured and having to play the rest of the game with a backup. What I don't want to see is Cooper DeJean pulling a hammy in the first quarter and we are forced to watch Avonte Maddox getting toasted on critical third down plays the rest of the game. Or Lane Johnson going down and Fred Johnson having to come in. Or it's the second half and we're trying to win the game with Pickett and Gainwell. Or Dickerson and Jurgens both get hurt and Toth is somehow our center.

If our key guys get through the game cleanly, I don't see us losing unless we turn the ball over repeatedly or some weird crap happens. If we can simply play our game and "lay our cards on the table", we'll win.

Had similar thoughts.

2024 AFCCG: Benford gets a concussion in the first quarter, and Mahomes picks on Elam the whole game. You can tell Buffalo wanted to play man coverage, but just couldn't.
2023 SB: SF is dominating, but Greenlaw tears his achilles and Mahomes starts picking on Hurts. Burford gets hurt, then Chris Jones starts picking on Feliciano.
2022 AFCCG: Tyler Boyd gets hurt and KC immediately doubles both Higgins/Chase and the rest of the WRs struggle 1 on 1. Entering the game, a lot of Bengals OL were already hurt. We would have killed them in the SB, but alas.

It's not lost on me that our worst defensive performance of the playoffs was against the Rams when we lost Quinyon on the first defensive drive of the game.

I don't care what anyone thinks.  This plus a side of bacon was f'n amazing.

I just heard the most insane stat I think I’ve ever heard…

Barkley has 20 total TDs this season. On those TDs he is AVERAGING 38 yards per play. 🤯
