We all wanted him to get lit up in the game but at least he got embarrassed.

Perhaps, but if you check out Saquon's long runs, he throws key blocks in a lot of them. My point was, since you clearly missed it, that he's a much better blocker than Ertz. He's come a long way.

Would have been hard to get worse

That should be fun.  He’s going to have a heck of a career in media after he retires.  Genuinely a likable person/personality.

If someone can give me a good reason to not have it named the Lombardi trophy, I'd love to hear it.    You don't just change the name because a cheater won a lot of them.

I didn’t read the actual article at the time, (shut up), but he makes a decent point about how overall it’s the players that win championships and it doesn’t matter how good the coach is, they need great players. The Tom Brady comment came after whoever was on the podcast he was on brought up how it’s not called the Bart Starr trophy.

In no ways should it ever be renamed, but the headline was definitely click baity.

DJ spoke about how good Mike Green looked today in day 2 of senior bowl practices. I really like him as a potential first rounder. May need to move up a bit for him.

The edge from Marshall looks awfully good after day 2 of senior bowl

Yeah Mike Green. DJ spoke about how good he looked too. I really like his fit here. He may fly up into the teens unfortunately.

Bash me for saying this, but I find it amazing how much talk in Philly is invested in discussing whether or not an edge, who will be the #4 guy in the rotation at this point, will play in the SB.

BG is a fan favorite.  BG made one of the biggest plays in franchise history.  BG was playing great before his injury.

Random question: what is the best post-Eagles career any former Eagle has had in the Howie era?  Mccoy and Jackson do not count, as they were jettisoned by Chip.

Nominees:

Javon Hargrave: Already a bad contract, but did go to a pro-bowl & SB in 2023.

Isaac Seumalo.  Pro-bowl 2024.

Jordan Poyer.  Pro-bowler, all-pro.

Notably, Poyer was cut.  Hargrave and Seumalo were established starters who left because we couldn't/wouldn't pay them.

Pretty unimpressive list, to be honest.

I guess the elephant in the room on this list, figuratively and literally, isn't a player.  It's AR.

Great is a stretch...

TO wins this prize. Had great stats with Dallas and was pro bowler twice. I'll always be passed off how I was robbed but he an McNabb couldn't get along. Turrible!

True.  But I was more thinking people Howie did not retain.  TO's departure...not sure Howie was running the show then.  Besides...TO's departure was a loaded situation that wasn't entirely on AR either.

If Andy Reid counts then it’s him, without question - no one else is close.

I think Jordan Hicks and Rasul Douglas should get a mention.

3.5 sacks, 1 FF, 7 QB hits and 7 TFL in 10.5 games.  Not bad for a guy playing about 40% of the snaps, and wasn't getting a ton of pass rush opportunities early on.  That's pretty good for only about 300 snaps.  Roughly the same production as Nolan Smith on a per snap basis during the regular season.  (Smith has really turned it on in the playoffs, though.)

Tomorrow should answer the "will BG come back” question.

Honestly, today should probably have since they didn’t open his practice window and had a walkthrough. But if they don’t tomorrow, it’s probably a no. He’s not some competitive advantage type player since if he did play it probably wouldn’t even be more than 10 snaps considering how long he’s been out, his conditioning and his age.

It would be nice for him to be able to suit up for the SB before he retires.  It would be a good story, but it won't have much impact on the game.

This video doesn’t show it as clearly as another video of the same play Sunday, but it is fascinating to watch both of Baun’s hands at work.  The left hand comes in behind Brown’s elbow and pins it in place so that when the right hand punch lands Brown’s arm has no "shock absorber” ability.

Eagles don't have a guy on the edge right now who can win the way BG wins. If he plays 10-15 good reps, he's a value add (assuming he's healthy enough).
