I believe the 1991 Eagles defense was technically better.  But accomplishments are more important than just how good or dominant a unit was.  So it’s really worth considering the unthinkable that this D eclipses 1991 based on the weight of what they accomplished in the playoffs this year.

If they drop a DL then it doesn't count as a blitz.  Blitz is 5 or more rushers.   If its only 4, its not counted as a blitz.

That may have been the worst trophy presentation ever. More commercials than ceremony.

I really wanted to post before and during the game, but I made a commitment to myself that I would stay off the board and out of y’all’s way on such a big day for the EMB fanbase. Well it’s not Monday yet but I can’t help myself. I read along and enjoyed the commentary here between cooking and watching pregame this afternoon. "Are we there yet?”, "What time is it?”…Y’all’s anticipation was great to follow for me.

I am truly happy for you all, the true ride or die fans. The Eagles had a great year and while I predicted the NFCCG and a 15-2 or 14-3 record or better for the Eagles this year, the way they did it was not expected. Once the Eagles made the SB, I expected them to win, I figured a close game, but the way in which they won was just incredible. The last two games were completely dominating and what the team was capable of all year. Congratulations to all of you here. Enjoy the spoils, you deserve it for being such loyal committed fanatics.

I also want to say, "Thank you all!” for allowing me to hang around here and engage with you weekly throughout the season. Football, and sports in general, brings people together in many ways. Yeh, I am a dreaded DAL fan, but if not for the EMB for the last two months, and through the year really, I would have lost interest in this season long ago. So, when I say congratulations, I sincerely mean it. It is cool to see people/fans you appreciate, and respect get to enjoy the best possible outcome of the year.

If the 1991 Eagles D had an offense to complement them, then it would be a fair comparison.    In terms of star power, the 1991 defense had the gravitas.  In terms of team accomplishments, there's no comparison.

When the Eagles kept getting to Mahomes rushing four I knew they were in big trouble...
