You can believe what you want. I saw things Sunday on offense that they had not shown all year. This was also mentioned by the Bills on both sides of the ball. Like I have mentioned before and as much as you guys don’t want to believe it, this game comes down to how Hurts and Moore handle the pressure. Everyone knows Barkley will get his as he is nearly impossible to stop. This is the best defense you will face all year.

Explain what you saw that was different from all year. Just give at least one example. It's easy to say anything on a message board with conviction, but it's not as easy to verify a claim without proof.

He probably left already.

For starters:

Mahomes designed running plays multiple times. Very little of that scripted during the season.

two back sets with misdirection RPO’s. I would have to look back but I didn’t see much of that if at all during the season.

Designed roll outs especially on the first couple series. A couple years ago they decided to make him a more traditional pocket passer to limit his scrambling hits. Sunday they pinned everything inside and let him go. That wasn’t happening during the season.

Outside of a few plays they didn’t force it to Kelce at all.

there was a different feeling to the offense. I’m sure there’s more but I need to get to an appointment.

Cam and Landon don't need to practice. Give them the rest of the week to rest. They can still practice next week.

I don't believe that for a second. They always play to win. They just haven't been winning as impressively this year.

But the facts back it up. They were so sad this season kermit didnt even get to the pro bowl. They lived off defense and ref interference. If they were still playing at that regular season level than the bills would have beaten them again. Some teams turn it on in the playoffs.

but Fangio doesn't believe in rotations or trust him so he's gotta go.

Clearly with this team this season Fangio does not believe in rotations, but has that been the case in his other coaching stops?

That's cutting it pretty close.  What if their flight gets delayed?  Or canceled?  Could you imagine needing to forfeit because your flight got canceled?

Only a schmuck would think like that.

Pretty sure that’s what they have in mind.

Cooper DeJean's swipe, not Baun's punch is what caused this fumble. Clear on this replay. Credit to Coop for this one.

Naaaaah, but all the comments I have seen have given DeJean an assist.

This photo has been on Jalen's phone.   He realizes these opportunities don't come often. He will be ready, he left it all out there in Super Bowl LVII.

Pretty sure you’re not being serious but that’s this Sunday - one week before the game.

Meh.  That’s sort of a weak take.   You don’t win 15 games in the regular season by "playing soft”. NEVER going to happen.

They won during the regular season by spreading the ball around a lot - so no single player really stood out.   Their defense dominated most of the regular season as well.   The results speak for themselves.

Two plays, back to back, that demonstrate what I was saying about Calcaterra's improvement as a blocker. The first is a counter by Goedert, the second is Barkley's last TD of the game.

Double Wing, with both TEs lined up outside the tackles and a yard off the LOS. Calcaterra is #81. Washington has nine in the box.

Hurts hands off to Goedert going right as Saquon shows action to the left.

Calcaterra has his man blocked out. Goedert is cutting in behind Becton. He'll get to the four. BTW, that's Luvu Calcaterra is blocking. He's already driven him back two yards.

Calc-2.thumb.jpg.0a3ba62419c26727084bc9dc56c04872.jpg

The second play - Saquon's last TD. Calcaterra is lined up between the TE and the LT, a yard deep.Calc-2A.thumb.jpg.9ab1c82c8e56ca0a7d772f88baab9a97.jpg

Calcaterra comes in motion left to right. Everyone else is blocking right to left.

Calc-2B.thumb.jpg.1257d82d5fe1a23a8f8245a74145fc5c.jpg

Calcaterra squares up the DE.

Calc-2C.thumb.jpg.8ebed5374205a27fbdae942f2f462f13.jpg

And Saquon can walk in. He has his choice of inside or outside AJ. Either way, he'll score untouched.

Not bad for a guy who can't block.

Stout, who coaches the TEs on blocking schemes probably noted Grant is best blocking on the move and is utilizing him more that way. I note since they lost Stoll and then Uzomah went down that they had used Steen on occasion as a sixth OL. But I find it interesting they have recently brought in two blocking TEs., Latu on a futures and Muse on the PS.

Absolutely.  A well practiced tag team.

His hand is the one that gets behind the point of the ball and pulls it out.  That replay pretty clearly shows it.

I'd give Baun the assist.  DeJean is the one making it happen though.

I would counter that this is by far the best defense that AR and Mahommes have faced all year, by a significant margin.

DeJean's hand is on the ball so you'd have to give him the nod but I'm not sure it would have come out without Baun's impact.

For Carter but the snaps at OLB/DE and the other DT positions don’t support this statement.

On the first attempt when he dove over the line, he actually made contact with Hurts' facemask or helmet. It wasn't super egregious, but in my opinion they could have easily called unsportsmanlike on him. The yardage obviously wouldn't have mattered, but a subsequent UC would have forced an ejection. What also went through my mind was that if that had been Mahomes in Hurts' position they would have absolutely called some UC/Personal Foul penalty against Luvu on the first attempt.

Edit: Here is a still capture I took off of a YT vid...right at the moment of contact. He was unabated with contact to the head or neck area...in a completely unsafe manner. Should have been called.

Part of me wanted someone to deck him for that but we'd lose a player likely to suspension

Also would have been nice if they all just moved and let his ass body slam the ground

It was super dirty of Luvu

Not sure about that. They played Chargers twice who allowed less PPG than Eagles. Broncos twice who allowed .5 more PPG than Eagles. Both has more sacks than Eagles, Broncos significantly with 22 more. Eagles allowed less yards but all three are pretty close in other metrics.

Diving at a QB coming off a concussion and with a bad knee and on top of our C with a bad back with very little to lose but a couple of inches on the offsides... yeah, the refs had to intervene before somebody on the offense got hurt or flinched.

It definitely had the old read option vibes, where the threat was that the DE would just repeatedly run over the QB at the mesh.

Yeah impossible to say.  But DeJean is definitely the one who pulled it loose.
