And yes, Hurts is the greatest Eagles QB of all time.

I loved Donovan, but he came up small in too many big games.

Jalen is straight up clutch in the biggest games / moments.

Debate over.

Foles had the greatest game by an Eagles QB.....yes, Hurts is now the greatest QB in Eagles history.

It's nice to win the Super Bowl and all, but I have a lot of complaints about today's win that I think need to be aired.

* Too many penalties on field goal attempts. We were pushed back five yards every time. I realize Elliott made all of those kicks anyway, but this is something that simply cannot continue if we want to be contenders in the future.

* Pickett was 0 for 1 and lost yardage on every one of his runs. I expect more than that from my backup quarterback, especially one that I traded a third round pick to acquire. He has to do better than that.

* I believe that every single time that we blitzed, Mahomes completed a pass. Unacceptable.

* Our vaunted first round pick gave up a touchdown pass. That should not happen.

* Barkley was completely shut down. With an offensive line that gets as much credit as they do, this should not be happening. WTF.

* Goedert was mostly invisible. We need to utilize our tight ends more, especially when they are as highly paid as he is. Boo.

* Jalen Carter was neutralized throughout the game. I realized we got a lot of sacks and pressures, but I expect more from someone who was picked in the top ten of a draft only two years ago. Is he closing in on bust territory yet? I'm not sure at this point but maybe.

* That interception by Hurts was horrific. If I'm paying my quarterback oodles of dollars, I expect him to not gift wrap interceptions to the other team when we're in the red zone. That was gross, as it cost us a chance at points.

* Oh...my...God...Sydney Brown and Tristan McCollum were brutal on that last touchdown by the Chiefs. It is obvious that they are not the answer for the future. Howie really blew it with that Brown selection two years ago. Is it time to move on from Howie at this point? It might be worth considering.

Feel free to celebrate, everyone. But at least I understand the core issues here. I'm definitely pissed about what I saw tonight.

How's that?

My thoughts as well. Will be interesting to see the snap counts.

I distinctly remember sitting on my couch after LII. My wife was watching This Is Us. I didn’t watch the show at all. All of a sudden my eyes were welling up. She saw me and asked why so was crying at a show I don’t watch. Honestly, I wasn’t even paying attention to it and couldn’t tell her a single thing that was happening. It was like a lifelong frustration turned into relief and then pure joy. It just took me some time to process it all.

Tonight was just a fun ass party for the second half, a coronation. I had a great time with my wife and kids. My daughter learned Fly Eagles Fly tonight because she had so much practice. I’m loving Twitter and all the celebration videos and listening to the Merrill and Quick highlights. The postgame shows are fun. But that night in 2018 … that might have been the greatest night of my life excluding my wedding night and the birth of my kids.

I think the biggest difference to me was the level of disbelief 7 years ago. I couldn't believe what had just happened. First time hoisting the Lombardi after a whirlwind season, capped off with one of the wildest super bowl battles in history. Just an emotional rollercoaster of a game and season, from beginning to end that never gave us a second to breathe the whole time. I still look back at that game and ask myself how the F that all came together. After years and years of crushed dreams and broken spirits.

But this time around, I just felt so much more confident than I did back then. I knew we were easily the better team. I knew we should've been favored by at least 3. I knew that the only way we'd lose that game last night is if we beat ourselves, which we hadn't come close to doing in months. And the absolute domination of the Chiefs just confirmed what I had felt was gonna happen since late-November, we were winning a second super bowl.

Like you, I teared up after the game ended 7 years ago, and I was worried about getting emotional again in front of a house full of people last night, but I didn't even come close to that. Could be because the seal had already been broken 7 years ago, or because I was actually able to believe what I was watching this time around, the nature of how it all unfolded allowed for more time to process what was happening, or maybe my relationship with the game is just healthier now than it was then. Hard to say. But I absolutely loved watching this team play every week, loved watching the behind the scenes clips on social media, loved getting to know the new players, loved getting to witness the joy and feelings of redemption for those who were there 2 years ago and had to suffer that heart break.

I was just able to enjoy the entire ride much more this time around rather than being a bundle of nerves every week, or sitting on the edge of my seat with anxiety throughout the whole super bowl game itself. So all in all, it's a completely different experience, but still so F'ing awesome to watch, and I couldn't be happier for those guys. They deserved all of it and more.

Regarding Lane and him retiring, why do so now?  You've won 2 and there's a chance they could win another next year.

As long as he wants to keep playing why not.  Keep going until they don't win it.  Who's to say they can't repeat?

He's not going anywhere, he made that very clear himself just last week. Not sure why fans are quietly trying to nudge him to do so. If anything, restructure his deal and use that dough to help extend some of his teammates. Minimum 2 of the 4 free agents need to be extended, 3 of the 4 would be incredible.

How bad was the postgame Lombardi celebration production by Fox? Just a complete joke. LII was just a terrible effort by Al Michaels, but the postgame was great. Tonight was a disgrace.

I think it was 5 commercial breaks with Lurie, Sirianni and Hurts getting a chance to speak. Why not play the entire ceremony without breaks? Show us 4-5 players. And then it was over. Posted that immediately after it was over. There wasn't even an "ending", just all of the sudden some dumb gameshow was on.

Time to go to work.

This was the most nerve racking post season for me because I desperately wanted this win for my son.

He went all in as a fan 2 years ago only to live through the SB loss.

Then I took him to the Linc for the first time last season for the Arizona game, and we all know how that ended.

So I was hoping beyond hope that they could finish this for him.

I already had my moment in 2017. This was his.

Quite a day for Cooper Dejan.  A rookie playing in a Super Bowl, has a pick 6 on a generational QB and to cap it off, it happened on his birthday

I will say, this went nearly perfectly but there's exactly one thing that I was disappointed by.

I HAD NO IDEA THEY STOPPED PLAYING THE LOMBARDI PRESENTATION SONG AFTER SB 53!!!

GUYS.

We were literally ONE SUPERBOWL AWAY from NEVER hearing this for the Eagles. Talk about "In before the lock"....

I gotta at least make a thread about this later.

The lack of any fanfare or what seemed to be any order to the celebration and ceremony was really confusing. What happened to the commissioner or an ex-player walking the trophy out through the players all rubbing it and then handing it to the owner. We get an overhead view of the stage and then just Terry Bradshaw interviewing. Roger made a brief appearance but overall really bad.

As dominating as our Defense line was one really has to wonder what might have happened in that last SB if the field wasn’t an ice rink in that first SB that the Chiefs knew would be difficult to play on.

I stopped buying and wearing jerseys years ago, but I will be getting a Dejean SB jersey.

He's been my favorite young player on this team since they drafted him, and I still can't believe what we saw from him last night.

An absolute star.

I was wondering what happened here. There was like no post game really on the Tubi stream and I was waiting for them to walk the trophy out through this amazing team.

I couldn't even figure out who was MVP until I went and looked on Facebook

I switched over to NBC Sports after the game... I had the DVR running on Fox to capture that.   I was going to watch it tonight.   Sounds like I didn't miss anything.   So pathetic.  BUT... I'm sure they were sure to get their sponsor's names mentioned one more time and run a few more commercials.    The NFL is killing their golden goose slowly strangling it one bad decision after another, and each bad decision is striking a blow to the integrity of the game, the players themselves, and/or a slap in the face of the current fans.   :nonono:

What do they have to whine about?   They were beat down handily as well.  Bunch of whiny little pissants just like their owner.

Mainly that the only reason we got here and won with ease was because the refs carried us. Had the game been called "fairly" they would've won the SB instead.

Pure delusion.

mate, hope youve had the best time. You'll remember this for the rest of your life, have a drink for me will you 🍻.

What a night! What a day! What a weekend. I’ve made memories and friends this weekend that I’ll keep forever.

When Dotson is catching passes and Maddox is making plays on D you knew it was going to be a loonngggggg night for the Chiefs.

What was so fantastic about this is that Jalen Carter clearly hits Mahomes in the face, and in today's NFL they could have easily called it a foul. It's the kind of play that we repeatedly see Mahomes get up and wave his arms and cry to the officials until a flag is thrown.

Look at him in the back just laying on the ground and peeling himself off the turf. DEFEATED. Nothing they could do.
