Maddox making one of the biggest plays of the game last night was hilarious. I think that’s when I finally started to relax and realize that they were bringing it home.

Jalyx Hunt man... I think Howie found himself another stud. Don't forget when he was drafted the narrative was similar to Mailata. He's a convert, he's 2 years away. Dude stepped in for BG and was really good. What a draft Howie had. Wouldn't have won a SB without it.

I’ve been an Eagles fan since Randall Cunningham. I knew this defense was good, but I wouldn’t have put them above the Buddy Ryan defenses of the 1988-1992 seasons.

It was 34-0 before the chiefs showed anything on offense. Complete shutdown defense for 3 quarters on the biggest stage. Best Eagles defense ever… the conversation can be started, but they have to show some duration. Superbowl LIX might be the best single game performance by an Eagles defense I can remember.

For sure there is always work to do

Wonder if Nick talks Kellen into to staying to run it back

He announced it from the stage when accepting the trophy, he said "Key Kellen let's run it back!" and laughed.

Maybe someone has already posted this but...

With 18 overall wins, we set a franchise record for most wins in a season including both regular season and playoffs.

We move ahead of .500 overall for the history of the franchise including both regular season and playoffs.

True, and there is talent to be had...vets that are good enough but haven't been in the right place. It does suck that rosters are such a revolving door with the exception of the "elite" position players. I am all about players staying and making it work for the team vs squeezing every dime they can from the Cap pool. Just yesterday Cee Dee Lamb was complaining about the media reporting that DAL had internal discussions about trading Micah...if he hadn't of wanted so much of the pie maybe there would be a little more for some supporting talent, same with Dak. Jerry is def the issue, but players are part of the problem also. Don't over pay top talent salary to mid talent players (Dak), share the wealth if you know you have an "elite" teammate coming up for contract....OR...prepare to be mid for the rest of your career.

Cool thing about Micah, he has already said he doesn't need $40 million, I hope his agent sets him straight and gets him paid, or the Cowboys trade him for some significant draft capital like what is being discussed (internally). Micah wants to compete and win, but don't give your money away dude, someone else will be there to take it.

The Game was pretty much over at this point and we still scored 6 more points.  The Eagles did this all season. We get up and just wear the opponent down.  Then the Defense always would give up a Garbage Time TD, lol.  This time they gave up two Garbage time TD's but it would still eat clock and that's exactly how the rest of this game went.

You can keep Micah

I've been saying for years now that Mahomes is a spoiled brat who hasn't known adversity. He got drafted to a good team with a good coach and didn't have to play a losing season. I wouldn't mind him apart from his attitude and personality. He is annoying and insufferable. Pointing and screaming for flags to the refs like a toddler tattling on a classmate. He flops like an NBA player trying to get a foul. He's a whiny little bish. I have zero respect for him. I respected Brady.

I loved seeing our defense dominate and crush him over and over.

F the Chiefs. This was supposed to happen with that Dline in 2022 but that awful field negated that.  This win will be long remembered a long time. We did not lose to a AFC team all season. Utter and complete domination.

I knew it was a done deal after the Pick 6...

Draft capital is more valuable...not this year, but next year, and especially '27...same thing happened with D. Ware, he'll go somewhere and win a title or three.

I'm with you on this man, and I know it almost feels blasphemous to say this.

But I said in an earlier post, its so weighted towards offenses and high scoring that it's really tough for defenses now in the NFL. That's what made last night so impressive, I loved it.

Mentioned before that the reason why I felt more confident going into this game compared to two years ago is because this defense has been battle tested against good to great QBs all season long. Lamar, Burrow, Love twice, Daniels three times, Stafford twice, Baker, and even Bryce Young during his good stretch and went 9-2 against that gauntlet. The 2022 defense didn’t even come close to that caliber of QBs played against. They were better prepared for Mahomes this time around and had Fangio at the helm with an axe to grind to shake that boogeyman.

I was confident, but not that confident even with a 17 pt lead, knowing that we blew a 10 pt lead to that same team in the same game 2 years prior. But after the Baun pick deep in their own territory, I knew we had broken their spirits and the game was all but over right then.

Has there been any Jason Kelce reactions to the Eagles Superbowl win??? Looked a few places can't find any..

Nope.

He posted after the AJ Brown OPI call. Nothing since. He better not try to insert himself into the Super Bowl parade either.

The New Heights podcast which usually celebrates both brothers and their teams, was all Chiefs hype leading up to the SB and the only reaction after is about the Chiefs. No congratulations to the Eagles.

So, can we all finally agree that Hurts is a good QB?  Anyone going to continue to say "Hurts is not a good QB"?

Last night Missy Elliott return to Jake the Make. Very happy for Jake coming through after a rough season on him.

ESPN's main website home page today:

Can't ignore the Eagles, first article about how they were able to dominate.

Immediately after: looking ahead to Power Rankings heading into next season. They put the Eagles 4th (Chiefs, Bills, Lions then Eagles).

Go ahead, keep doubting. They'll go and repeat next year.

Exactly how I like it!

I just hope he doesn't become a **** like his old man.   So far, so good.

Did I remember right that we had three penalties on FG/PAT attempts?  I'm sure Jake made all of those and then needed to re-kick five yards further back.  In that case, he was 11/11 and only one was fairly close to missing if my memory serves me.

They've already been an attractive team for free agents. Well run organization, Howie manages the cap so well he makes sure the players are paid well, bonuses, etc. Good facilities, team culture, all that. Now they've won 2 SBs in 7 years. And seeing AJ Brown and Barkley just a couple examples, leave losing organizations and win a championship is special. Some players leave championship teams for more money. Cam Newton recently said he cared more about personal stats than a championship. Other players choose to win. Smitty could have got more money elsewhere. He chose to stay in a winning culture.

If you're a star player on a bad/mediocre team and you have the money but don't have the championship...they have that motivation. Just look at how much Barkley was having fun this year, finally being on a winning team. Having the time of his life. And humble, letting other guys get carries, not caring about individual records.
