His trash talk will be 110% for the Super Bowl.

For sure, I'm easing him in and just finding favorable spots for him. I'll take 10 snaps away from Sweat here if it comes down to it. Keep Hunt & Smith the same.

Not sure about that. They played Chargers twice who allowed less PPG than Eagles. Broncos twice who allowed .5 more PPG than Eagles. Both has more sacks than Eagles, Broncos significantly with 22 more. Eagles allowed less yards but all three are pretty close in other metrics.

The Eagles defense allowed the fewest points. There was a fumble return for a TD that was given up by the offense. There may have been a pick-6 but I don’t recall one.

That is your interpretation.  Mine is that Baun’s punch pushed DeJean’s hand, already resting on the ball but not having enough leverage to pry the ball loose.  The additional leverage supplied by Baun’s punch resulted in the loosening.

Of course it doesn’t matter what we think.  We are external to the actual event.

Your interpretation is not what is shown in the video though. DeJean is already pulling that ball out before the punch comes. Try watching again. Especially the 2nd replay of it in slower motion.

DeJean deserves that FF in his stat line. Hes in the running for DROY so it matters.

Stout, who coaches the TEs on blocking schemes probably noted Grant is best blocking on the move and is utilizing him more that way. I note since they lost Stoll and then Uzomah went down that they had used Steen on occasion as a sixth OL. But I find it interesting they have recently brought in two blocking TEs., Latu on a futures and Muse on the PS.

Stout likes to have his blockers move more than pretty much any OL coach. We pull everybody, sometimes two or three on a play. A guy with a head of steam is more formidable. I wouldn’t expect Calcaterra to be able to block Luvu straight up, but with momentum… He also breaks tendencies. Take that Saquon TD I just broke down. Everybody but Calcaterra blocks right to left. LBs in particular key on the guards so they run away from the play. Must drive DCs crazy.

Wild card in the draft for Howie this year is QB. Can he swindle a team in to overpaying for Tanner McKee or Kenny Pickett? And is there a QB that a team moves up for at the end of the 1st round. Darius Slay might be in play too. I don't see this team with too many players they'd want to part ways with.

Kenny Pickett, Tanner McKee, Darius Slay are players I think 100% could be traded.

Young players who might have value would be Kelee Ringo, Eli Ricks, Sydney Brown, Jahan Dotson and Tyler Steen. I'm not suggesting they should trade these guys, but looking at players with value in positions of depth. Steen is a starting OL in the NFL. I think we all hope he's the RG of the future here with Becton coming back as the future RT. However, if the Eagles view Becton as RG only, maybe Steen becomes available. Same with Ringo and Brown. Guys who are buried here but could be staring in the right situation. Ideally, Ringo is CB2 sooner than later.

For a lot of obvious reasons I’d prefer trading Pickett rather than McKee.  Slay could be in play, but only because of the large option bonus that comes due this coming season.  However, any team trading for him would want a two-year commitment from him.  I don’t dislike Rick’s, but he can be easily replaced.  Brown has been superb as a STs gunner, but if we see CJGJ and Blankenship as long term Safeties, cycling in a rookie as the developmental Safety makes some sense.  I do wonder if a full offseason of Brown joined at the hip with Dawkins wouldn’t produce a really powerful Brown going forward.

There appear to be a number of intriguing developmental O-Linemen that Stoutland could coach up, so if a Steen trade does happen I would expect it happened with Stout’s approval.  I would expect a 2nd Round pick at the bare minimum.  Steen is better than almost all the O-Linemen in the Draft, especially since he is plug and play ready.

Ringo I keep

I think you are underestimating the build up in Graham's system.   It's gotta be at least 125% by now... maybe higher.

A trade of Slay would have to be Post June 1.  It costs an extra $9M on the cap in 2025 to trade him before then.  It saves about $4M+ if traded post June 1, and carries the dead cap number of $13M over to 2026.image.png.79220bd1dd4c747e4d21a4ba8ee8e136.png

That is correct, but only in the timing of the cap hit. Howie may prefer to absorb the full hit in 2025. Time will tell.  If he wants to keep Baun, Becton, and Williams he will need all the Cap help he can get.

Bull ****.  If that were your motive you would have put it out there for discussion rather than saying the NFL has it wrong and then reiterating that position over and over again.

Cooper DeJean's swipe, not Baun's punch is what caused this fumble. Clear on this replay. Credit to Coop for this one.

My original post. Pretty benign. I only reiterated it because you blind folk, or argumentative folk want to turn it in to a debate despite clear video evidence.

It was out there for discission. Someone could have said, cool! didnt realize that. thanks for sharing!

Instead you want to argue something stupid and blame me for just explaining what is seen in the video. Troll elsewhere.

Fair enough. Eagles, Broncos and Chargers are still top 3, and fairly close. Eagles are the best but I wouldn't call the other two significantly far off.

My pleasure

The Chiefs scored 17, 16, and 19 in their three competitive games against the Chargers and Broncos.

Whether the Eagles are better or not, a performance like any of those three will win the game

My whole point was the timing of the cap hit.  There's no savings in trading Slay one way or the other.

Agreed, but he'll need cap space starting in 2025 as well as 2026.  He knows best on that how to best use it.
