Hurts got hot when it counted, and ultimately that’s all that matters. But he needs to show this is his new baseline before he can be considered top 5 in my opinion. He certainly has the physical tools and accuracy to do it. It was 2 games not 1, and I absolutely do not expect we will see the kind of game plan that Moore dialed up yesterday and against the Commies when Week 1 of the 2025 season rolls around in six months.  It will be back to the risk mitigation approach that was deployed after the Bye Week this season.  In that game plan does not leave room for Hurts to produce the results you describe/desire.  If anything, I expect the approach to the 2025 season to be even more cautious/constrained because (1) the schedule is much harder, and (2) teams will be gunning for the chance to take down the reigning champs, and (3) I expect Washington to be improved.

With all the above said, who do you rank higher on your list now, Daniels or Hurts?

i disagree with your assessment. We are playing better teams which should necessitate more risk. Especially if our defense takes a half step back, as it likely will with the futures of Baun, Williams, Sweat, Slay and Rodgers up in the air.

I’d also expect Barkley to not be as good. He had one of the greatest seasons ever, but history has not been kind to 2,000 yard rushers. Most likely he isn’t as explosive and probably misses some games.

I went to the parade in 2018 and it was Fing awesome, fist bumped the entire secondary as they walked by the fences. We are buying plane tickets today to go this year also
