My original post. Pretty benign. I only reiterated it because you blind folk, or argumentative folk want to turn it in to a debate despite clear video evidence.

It was out there for discission. Someone could have said, cool! didnt realize that. thanks for sharing!

Instead you want to argue something stupid and blame me for just explaining what is seen in the video. Troll elsewhere.

Cool! didnt realize that. thanks for sharing!

Two plays, back to back, that demonstrate what I was saying about Calcaterra's improvement as a blocker. The first is a counter by Goedert, the second is Barkley's last TD of the game.

Double Wing, with both TEs lined up outside the tackles and a yard off the LOS. Calcaterra is #81. Washington has nine in the box.

Calc-1A.thumb.jpg.dc8539138163e44f95a2bace6c5e4b1f.jpg

Hurts hands off to Goedert going right as Saquon shows action to the left.

Calc-1B.thumb.jpg.23d6c34aed330459e2fef3e2f7b9bbbd.jpg

Calcaterra has his man blocked out. Goedert is cutting in behind Becton. He'll get to the four. BTW, that's Luvu Calcaterra is blocking. He's already driven him back two yards.

Calc-2.thumb.jpg.0a3ba62419c26727084bc9dc56c04872.jpg

The second play - Saquon's last TD. Calcaterra is lined up between the TE and the LT, a yard deep.Calc-2A.thumb.jpg.9ab1c82c8e56ca0a7d772f88baab9a97.jpg

Calcaterra comes in motion left to right. Everyone else is blocking right to left.

Calc-2B.thumb.jpg.1257d82d5fe1a23a8f8245a74145fc5c.jpg

Calcaterra squares up the DE.

Calc-2C.thumb.jpg.8ebed5374205a27fbdae942f2f462f13.jpg

And Saquon can walk in. He has his choice of inside or outside AJ. Either way, he'll score untouched.

Not bad for a guy who can't block.

If he keeps getting better our future TE search is over.

That's not really a beef between Wentz and Foles; he's just saying they hung in different circles with different people -- not that they didn't get along.  Not that surprising that Foles handled the entire locker room better, though.

The OL from his story HAD to be Jason Peters.

Random question: what is the best post-Eagles career any former Eagle has had in the Howie era?  Mccoy and Jackson do not count, as they were jettisoned by Chip.

Nominees:

Javon Hargrave: Already a bad contract, but did go to a pro-bowl & SB in 2023.

Isaac Seumalo.  Pro-bowl 2024.

Jordan Poyer.  Pro-bowler, all-pro.

Notably, Poyer was cut.  Hargrave and Seumalo were established starters who left because we couldn't/wouldn't pay them.

Pretty unimpressive list, to be honest.

I guess the elephant in the room on this list, figuratively and literally, isn't a player.  It's AR.

The 2 big ones that come to mind were both RBs.  They are Dion Lewis and Raheem Mostert.  Arguably, Nelson Agholor should be considered.  He had one pretty good season with the Raiders. He has otherwise been a functional WR and spot starter.  Malcolm Jenkins had 2 decent seasons with the Saints.

Let's check in on @Joe Ball's reaction

Wild card in the draft for Howie this year is QB. Can he swindle a team in to overpaying for Tanner McKee or Kenny Pickett? And is there a QB that a team moves up for at the end of the 1st round. Darius Slay might be in play too. I don't see this team with too many players they'd want to part ways with.

You keep Tanner McKee as the #2 QB moving forward.  He's two years younger than Pickett, bigger build with a better arm.  Much more room to develop from where he is now.  His pre-draft interview on NFL Radio was one of the best I've ever heard -- he had the maturity of a 30 year-old at just 22.  Speaks to his leadership skills and inner makeup.

Draft a late-round QB to develop just as they have with McKee.  Unless Hurts completely stinks it out in the Super Bowl he's bought himself at least two more seasons as the Eagles' starting QB; no sense wasting a high round pick to just sit.

"Every team we play against, he's going over every formation, he's got percentages of what they like to run out of this formation," Williams explained. "'If the tight end is off right here, they're looking for a plunge coming back.' Or, 'They're going to motion him over here and snap it.' He breaks down every little single detail and gives it to us."

The defense will be ready, and locked in.

We put up 35 last time when our RBs gave us 45 yards.  We now have Saquon.

We gave up 31 to their offense with Gannon.  We now have Vic.

They did an exercise on the Philly Special podcast asking whom from the 2022 team would you want to have this time.  Reddick was the first one that came to mind.  2022 Elliot over 2024 Elliot was suggested.  There isn't much where we aren't in a better position than two years ago.

Haven’t listened to the entire episode but i am slightly surprised TJ Edwards or white weren’t mentioned since Dean went down. Unlike burks but i also think I’d want Edwards or white due to Dean getting hurt and could use the depth.

Suppose Mahomes was knocked out early into the game...  Wentz vs. Hurts (QB wise)

Wentz having to watch Foles lift the Lombardi and potentially Hurts would be hilarious.

My immediate thought was Kelce because he would've already had the ball in his hand whereas JP would've had to walk over and taken it from Kelce.

Also, I would think Duce knows better than to tangle with JP, and he probably liked his chances better against Kelce (still a big dude, but no JP.)

If Mahomes got injured then I'd say Eagles win easy. Respectfully... Wentz just isn't what he used to be

100% believe that olineman was peters. I can’t see brooks, lane, seumalo or Kelce doing that. I think Kelce would say something but i don’t think he’d throw the ball at Duce and start a scuffle. I definitely think peters would. And Duce lacks size vs. peters but you have to be a little nuts to play football so i could see him just snap and knowing guys wouldn’t let it get really bad.

Nothing against Jurgens, who's been great for us this year, but he's not quite all-pro level Kelce... yet.

Yeah, Duce Staley getting into an all-out serious wrestling match with one of the OL is crazy.

CBS News is reporting it so I'd say it's legit
