I know many, many, DAL fans. Most of what I am hearing is "Wow, the Eagles are for real." and similar. There are idiots in every fan base that act out, talk crap. I don't begrudge another fan base or organization just because my favorite organization can't get it right. It's not their fault DAL is inept. Honestly I am just happy the winning team wasn't WAS, came from the NFCE, came from the NFC period, and the freaking Chiefs didn't win again. Oh...and I am happy for the folks here, cool people here, that makes it much more easy to deal with to tell you the truth, nothing wrong with sharing in the happiness of other folks.

One of the Eagles beat writers checked NFCE message boards to see the reaction to the Eagles win last night.  This one from your team’s boards made me laugh:

• If jerry doesnt die anytime soon eagles will get 6 rings before dallas. (Cowboys)

Did anyone pick up a newspaper today from the Philly area? I need to buy one and was wondering if anyone saw the different versions out there among all the publications.

2017 I got the Inquirer and there's a blank space next to it.

I just bought one on eBay. Had the inquirer and the daily news.

I know the Inquirer does reprints for like $30 if anyone else out of area is looking for one

I picked up both. I also ordered the sports illustrated magazines, which I thought they stopped doing but apparently they got bought out in 2024 and still make physical magazines.

When is the SB parade in Phillie?

I bought the SI but was hoping. They’d be selling the leather bound book but haven’t seen it

Before I start: I'm not backing off my criticism that Howie is TOO aggressive with cap numbers.  I'm down with his overall strategy but he needs to dial it back, it's literally handcuffed us before.

Being that said.... going into the bye I wanted the coaches head yesterday.  Felt he should have been fired in the offseason and he proved me right weeks 1-4.  We talk so much about the overall team changing after that bye, but Siri also changed.  Literally every criticism I had of him was gone.  And here we are.  Pass that crow with some el yucateco extra hot sauce

I'll have what he's having. Sirianni completely turned himself around, stopped the idiotic buffoonery, and got much better in game.

Hurts also turned it on the last 2 games. It was hilarious to see the chiefs do everything in their power to stop saquon only for hurts to throw all over them.

Last 3 QBs were starr, Brady and mahomes

And yet no one ever talks about the Long snapper.   :nonono:  Rick Lovato now has TWO Super Bowl rings...

Free agency negotiation window starts 4 weeks from today.  Howie generally tries to get the roster into a position where there are no obvious "needs" going into the draft.

Baun, Becton, Williams, and Sweat are the big pending UFAs.  I think the Eagles lose a couple of those players (likely Williams and Sweat).  I would expect a veteran DL signing in free agency to compensate for losing those two along with Brandon Graham.

Hoping against hope Huff can show something. Hunt is another one im hoping can grow into a starter. Would be a fun off season. Would suck to lose Sweat for example but let him go and earn his $$$

I think Huff got that contract and thought he had arrived.  In truth, he was bad against the run in NY and had not been asked to drop.  Sweat can and has, Smith and Hunt embraced it.  Huff may need some self reflection.  Has to burn being disactivated yesterday for a 36 year old with one good arm. Hopefully he applies himself this offseason. I imagine Howie has had a long talk with his agent and some restructuring is done.

Like I said... some players want to be coached.  I don't think Huff does.  Everything you said speaks to a guy unwilling to take coaching.

He himself even said at the Super Bowl media night he has only talked to Fangio a handful of times throughout the season. That's a major red flag if a player isn't forcing the conversation of "what do I need to improve to get on the field?".

Quite the name drops from Hurts

On that play, Trey Smith had a headlock on Carter. Either offsetting penalties or no call.

Yep.  Carter had his hands up because he was fighting that off.  And there was no linger or grab by Carter.  So the ref shrugged that one off. I suspect Mahommes really blew it by admitting to flopping and now the refs are going to doubt some of his reactions on being hit.

When is the game on again?

Yup.  He's been awesome lately with the draft but over time, it all averages out.

Throw in the fact the Wentz trade has led to quite a few key pieces.... hey, you know what?  I got a chart for that. Would you like me to post it?

You do flow charts so well, McKinsey should hire you.

I'm growing tired of the "they just didn't show up" theory for the Chiefs.  They showed up. They just got their ass kicked for 4 quarters.
