McNabb threw a great deep ball. That’s basically what Hurts had to do — hit those quick go routes when the chiefs stacked the box against Barkley and played press man on the edge. That and run the QB draw, and we all know McNabb was a good runner.

Hurts has better touch on his deep ball, McNabb the better arm. I think McNabb would have been just fine with the protection and field position Hurts got.

That said, the true X factor is that Hurts is undeniably a clutch player which can’t be said about McNabb.

He stopped commenting during the game, his last comment was about the OPI call, saying the refs should let them play. His podcast New Heights hyped up the Chiefs all week, then after the game posted congratulating the Chiefs on their season. Nothing about the Eagles (until very recently).

Making a simple, classy congratulations post to his former team isn't spiking on Travis, disrespectful to the Chiefs or anything. He could even congratulate both teams. He makes himself a spectacle and center of attention for the last few years, then goes dark when his former team wins a Super Bowl.

Hurts definitely doesn't have McNabb's arm but he hasn't shied away from big moments.  McNabb would throw a bad pass or INT and never really recover.  Hurts doesn't get flustered by it.
