  • Darius Slay
  • Brandon Graham
  • Milton Williams

Slay's done a lot for the team. Leave with a ring.

Williams stays

sweat is gone

I don't own one right now and "Super Bowl Champions" flags aren't available right now, they will only be available if they win.

Does Saquon ask for a salary bump after the year?

Just for fun, I decided to look into this. In 2015, Adrian Peterson signed a 3 year, $42 million contract with the Vikings; in 2011, he signed a 6 year, $86mm contract. So his AAV was ~$14mm over that time. In 2011 the salary cap was $120.375mm, and by 2017 it was $167mm, so the average was ~$144mm, so his AAV was just under 10% of the cap. Saquon Barkley signed a 3 year, $37,750,000 with an AAV of $12.583mm. But the cap in 2024 was $255.4mm, meaning Barkley's AAV is less than 5% of the cap (ignoring the void year deferrals). So we basically got Saquon for half the price of Peterson.

That's some serious value investing by Howie.

Crazy to see how devalued the position has become over the last 10 years despite the cap increasing almost every year. Curious if Barkley and Henry will move the pendulum at all for other RB's.

When I spoke with him last night, he said he wouldn't. But you never know...

Maybe the Eagles work out a longer term extension?

Howie already has to be putting together his best offer. If they let this guy walk, I'll Fing lose my mind.

Such a fun video to watch

I don't think we talk enough about how they took a rugby player in the 7th round and turned him into an All-Pro LT. Jeff Stoutland is unreal. Jordan Mailata needs a biopic about his life someday.

Wentz having to watch Foles lift the Lombardi and potentially Hurts would be hilarious.

We'd be able to watch someone's psyche literally fracture into a million pieces live on TV. I'm there for it.

The thought of Graham suiting up and AGAIN providing the game-ending play in a SB...my god.

I'd give him a bump but wouldn't really be interested in extending him beyond his age 30 season.

Don't forget Mixon and Josh Jacobs. 4 big name RB's switched teams and all had years ranging from very good to historic.

Yeh, I should have paid attention to detail there. Well at least fly an Eagles flag on game day if you have one, get the previous SB flag and fly it if you can...idk, I'll just shut up now 😁

Went back and watched some of SB58 again and the Niners had a chance to go up big in that game and the Chiefs defense held them in it. If the Eagles are in that position can't blow opportunities like that. And also a missed EP changed the game. They were up 16-13 instead of 17-13 and the Chiefs ended up driving down for a last second tying FG.

Also the Niners had an awful fumble on a punt return that gifted the Chiefs a TD the next play. Basically, the Niners outplayed them for like 75% of that game, and blew it. You absolutely cannot give the Chiefs mulligans or life.

At least have a 30 for 30 about his story, incredibly good football story.

Watson and Tucker must not be into Asian women

According to this other team I follow there weren't any RB's of value last offseason, who are these four RBs you are referring to? /s

Maybe Jake is doing goofy stuff with massage therapists too then?

I'd hope not but he's definitely outplayed his contract. Wouldn't be surprised if he reached majority of his incentives for the season

I think Mixon kinda hurts the cause more than helps. He only cost a 7th round pick in a trade and made good but not great money. He had a good year for sure but he feels like more of a plug in guy teams can find without breaking the bank. Similar to Swift last year.

So my neighbors directly across the street from my house are Chiefs fans (I know this because they fly a Chiefs flag from time to time). If we win, I'm planning on flying an Eagles flag (they don't know I'm an Eagles fan, at least I don't believe they do).

Kelly Green, or Midnight Green?

Kelly green on yours.  Midnight green on his.

Don't know if you intended it but I read this as if replacing the Chiefs fans flag with the Eagles. Agreed

No chance they give him more after one year. Maybe add some incentives.

Have to wonder about Lane Johnson too with that smoke being out there.

Josh Sweat as well.

I think it's possible Lane retires.  It makes re-signing Becton a necessity.

I am hoping the positions of value & offensive scheme cycle back around to a more balanced offensive approach, utilizing RB, FB (33%), TE, 2 WR OR 3 WR and no TE. I am growing bored with the Spread, Inside\Outside Zone Read, Speed Option, and RPO over and over again...

Yea, likely. I do wonder if Howie would want to avoid another Reddick situation though.

I also imagined burning the Chiefs flag and pissing on the ashes, but yes that is precisely what I meant.

Asking for a change after 2 years of a 3 year deal is acceptable. But you can't set the precedent of opening up deals after 1 year. All of his 2025 comp is guaranteed already, and I'm not sure they want to guarantee more of the 2026 comp ($1.5mm already guaranteed). Maybe double his incentives form current (below):

  • Incentives + Escalators
1st Team All-Pro: $500,000 OR Pro Bowl (Original Ballot): $250,000
    1500+ Scrimmage Yards: $250,000 (earned 2024)
    2000+ Scrimmage Yards: $250,000 (earned 2024)
1000+ Rush Yards + Conference Champ Win: $250,000
1000+ Rush Yards + Super Bowl Win: $250,000
