If I were you, I'd be embracing it.   What is worth fearing is the delusion that they can still compete without taking the step back that they need.   Sometimes you need to strip it down to the studs and start over.  Patches only last so long.

The rebuild is not worth it with the same GC doing the job...that is the problem.

Last year it was reported that some defensive players said there wasn't accountability. The GA Dawgs came from tougher coaching and higher standards. Hurts recently said in two separate interviews including after winning the SB, he credited the team culture to the Georgia Dawgs and that it spread among the others. They have praised Fangio's coaching and old school toughness.

Let's hope the hunger for back to back championships that the Dawgs had carries over as well.

I was listening to Ike Reese this afternoon.  He said after SB LII, the team got distracted (he called it, I might call it cocky or even complacent).  After SB LII, Foles had a book.  Doug had a book.  Sort of like what happened with Cole Hamels after the '08 World Series.   The banquet tour seemed to capture the team.  This team can fight through that and not fall prey to that and they can repeat.   This team had laser focus due to the failure of SB LVII AND the failure at the end of last season and last playoff.  They need to keep that hunger and determination to show that this wasn't a fluke.

Yeah... nothing will change there, my friend.  It will only be death or severe illness that can save you from Jerrah.

We’ve always been the villain

I saw a clip on YouTube last night...William Fuller and Erik Williams going at it...yeh, I concur y'all are always the villain.

Someone already said it but the only thing missing from that game was Saquon ripping a 40-50 yarder right down their throats. But the dagger to smitty did essentially the same thing.

I loved that gutsy call, because the Chiefs were expecting them to run Barkley for just that reason. They were smart and outcoached Spags and Reid (think about that wow) and took a shot downfield to put the dagger.

They were two steps ahead of both of them the whole game.  Quite a turn around from 2 years ago.

I have been paying attention to this for a few years...my biggest concern about the returning year is always related to the shortened offseason. It takes lot of  time to get players physically healed after such a season. I know that KC has been effective in overcoming, but a shorter time to heal, getting a late start on coaching changes, scouting the combine (I know Howie is ready with his staff), preparing for the draft, upcoming FA all have shorter time windows...I really believe it impacts the next season.

So what Super Bowl apparel or memorabilia has everyone picked up so far?

I went with 2 shirts, a hoodie, and a cooler dejean jersey since I think the pick 6 won that game…I’ll also pick up the commemorative sports illustrated if they still make that…

I’m also taking my nephew to Saquons football camp this coming July, paid some extra money for a meet and greet, hoping I can get some Super Bowl gear signed

All I got this time were Saquon jerseys for my wife and I, and a SB Champs onesie for the little guy.

Thinking about getting an SI Cover but not sure yet

It certainly does.  That's a big part of why repeating is so hard, and as the NFL extends the season more and more it will likely get harder and harder.

I am curious to see what the loss does to the Chiefs.   Will they have the emotional collapse that so many SB losers have the following year?

And can the Eagles lick their wounds, right the ship in the offensive coaching staff, retool the losses in FA and then get their feet under themselves again for the long grind of 17 regular season games.

Pretty interesting, I thought that would've been set during 52 and never touched again

Obviously BG is his own man but if it were me there’s no way I’d think about coming back. You’re the longest tenured Eagle. You’ve got two rings. Coming off an injury. Assume you’re pretty set financially. Go out on top and go enjoy your family.

I don’t get it, he’s not going to dunk on his brother now… the Chiefs got wrecked, Travis was a non-factor and likely is contemplating retirement.

I am sure that Kylie is dumping enough on Travis for all of us. Plus she is way prettier than us bozos.  Taylor Swift must get bummed a bit that she is the second prettiest of the Kelce brothers significant others.

Is it about items purchased or dollars spent?   If its dollars, the rise in cost of everything likely accounts for that.

Big news guys…..

I would love for Frank to come back and he's someone that Nick respects so much and will listen to offensively.  With that said, he's chillin with that fat Carolina Panther check. Does he even want to coach anymore?

So give him a role that doesn’t impact that check.

I already had a Saquon jersey, I wish I would have waited and got one with the patch on it, mite buy a patch and have someone sew it on

Was thinking about getting a Kelly green Barkley and sewing on a patch.

I don’t think that’s how the patches get on there…

We'll see who need surgery on what, but considering everyone played the entire game I don't anticipate anyone needing a 7+ month recovery.

My first thought was that it was dollars spent, but that would be a disingenuous stat then because it's going to get broken every single year as price of goods goes up. They really should do items purchased if that's the case

On the OL, Dickerson and Jurgens likely need a little tune up or two.  AJ might need something on that knee.  Beyond that, I'm not sure if anyone offensively would need to go under the knife versus just having the time off to heal.
