I’m over in Idaho

So a long train ride, too long for such short notice.

:LII-LIX:

Haven't watched these type of shows in years. Fallon still over acting

I just realized the Eagles Super Bowl had yet another first.

It was the first time Skip Bayless was ever right about anything. Dude picked the Eagles to win the SB back in like August. Probably as a wise ass to try and jinx them, but still. He did it!

He’s also always been a huge Hurts guy

He's used all his words for the year, he's over it

$24m according to this chart

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-franchise-tag-values-heres-how-much-it-will-cost-teams-to-use-the-franchise-tag-based-on-position/

Let's give him $14m-15m/year and call it a day. I think he's gonna take less to stay here, this is where his career took off and they're not going to low ball him. He's not gonna get offered a roquan dmith deal based on one year, so "taking less" is taking ~15m here instead of maybe $16m somewhere else

Howie incentives clauses will seal the deal,

He is done.  And if he isn't considering retiring, he oughta.

I love that there are national media and fans who were shocked at the domination, yet a lot of Eagles fans and Philly media could see it coming.

I never quite verbalized it but my feeling going in was that we could very easily win comfortably, that if we played our A-game, we wouldn't lose. And if we played our B-game, we would win even if the Chiefs were on their A-game. We were that much "better". The only path to a loss was if we played C-game and the Chiefs were A-game. Two grades different.

As it turned out, we were A and they were C at best. Recipe for a slaughter.

Speaking of memorabilia, I quickly regretted not buying enough last time. Just a couple of t-shirts, a couple of hoodies, two little pictures to hang on the wall, and a flag. I need to get twice as much stuff this time.

Just starting to catch up. 20 hours behind

Yeah, I hear you. I live life for about six hours or so and I'm suddenly twenty pages behind again.

Was that Barwin? Isn't he a scout or something, what's he doing on the sidelines with a headset?

Barwin is Head of football development and strategy

Hell I was 47 pages behind, but catching up has been great … until the p e n i s measuring contest broke out.

Loki and Thor are the Chiefs, you can figure out who's the Eagles by the color...

It has to be a home opponent, but they seem to like to do conference championship rematches quite often, not all the time, but often.  Its almost always 2 playoff teams from the previous year, but I agree, not a divisional opponent.

FWIW, when the Lions opened in Kansas City in 2023, they weren't a playoff team. (Not saying you said they were.) But they looked like an up and coming team, so it almost seemed predictable.

I'm sure Wally will make thread soon enough but I wanna be on record in advance predicting that it'll be the Broncos. Interconference. Up and coming team. Impressive young quarterback. The ingredients are there.

Yeah, love that kid. Everyone is hyping Shavon Revel as the injured CB who could be a steal, but I like Morrison more.

This Notre Dame fan was salivating over Morrison his first two years. Their most impressive freshman/sophomore since Kyle Hamilton. This year he seemed to tail off a bit (even before the injury), and then he got hurt.

Agreed. Please get a career OC playcaller

That is the attraction of Frank Reich.

My vote is Frank Reich for OC. Obviously him and Nick are tight.

He also wouldn’t be looking to use it as a stepping stone into a HC job.
