@NOTW I don’t remember for sure if it was you that was asking about the comp pick Lurie stuff. Not a direct quote, but if Bermans putting it on the record out of anyone, there was something said.

And they’ll still beat PSU 😂

There will always be dispute.

Next season I think will answer some questions. Putting aside the stats vs winning argument and just purely from QB skills and numbers, Hurts isn't at the top as a passer. We have to see if Daniels is consistent or if he's another rookie who gets "figured out" for lack of a better phrase. Stafford is getting up there, that team may also be regressing. How will Love respond since he's been promising but lost to the Eagles twice. Goff is on a good team and had a good season.

Hurts now is getting national love as a clutch QB and a winner, and it's helping to change the conversation a little about personal passing stats, and showing a dual threat QB can win. But if he were to have a similar season next year and win the SB again I think that cements it. Or, if he were to vastly improve his passing numbers.

It's possible the coaches will reduce Barkley's load a little and get to more passing. Teams will still try the formula of taking out Barkley and force Hurts to pass.

I think a good next step for Hurts is to have some more convincing passing games, get rid of the ball instead of taking sacks for a loss, and take the next step up in reading defenses and making decisions. He grew in all those areas this season and played great in clutch situations.

But if he essentially is the same next year and they win another SB, who cares lol.

Hurts is not the best QB in the NFL or even the NFC, not even close.

But he's probably the best QB for THIS team.

Sounds like Lane... but I could be wrong.

As cool as that is, it's also why I'm not worried about losing Kellen Moore.

This play looks way more effective this way, design wise. Good on them for Fing it up!

Cooper with his mom and dad is just adorable 🤣

One weird thing about this Super Bowl. Even though it was just 3 days ago, it doesn’t feel like there are that many memorable moments.

Just off the top of my head, there’s the DeJean pick 6, Bauns INT was a beauty but I don’t think it will have lasting power, Hurts to Smith and Williams strip sacking Mahomes with Carter **** slapping him in the face. Thats really all I can think of that stood out that we all will remember in 8 or so years.

I don’t know if it’s just because the game was so uncompetitive or if it’s 2017 was the first so it felt more magical. Or both. Or if it was such a blowout I drank too much and just don’t remember.

2017 had so many "wow” plays on both sides.

2017 had more moments because it was back and forth…legend vs beloved backup QB.  That one will always be special because of that and because it was the first…and the Philly Special and all that too…

But this one is just as special (or at least very close) because it was such a complete beat down.  It was 40-6 before we put the reserves in vs Andy effing Reid and Mahomes.

We literally broke the Chiefs dynasty.  If you don’t believe me, watch them next season

Hurts is not the most talented…but he’s a damn good leader, he’s clutch, and he knows how to treat his brethren because he truly appreciates them

Brady was not the most talented.

Joe Montana was not the most talented.

Rodgers was and he got carried to 1 SB by BJ Raji.

Makes sense… Lane is a bit bigger though.

True.  I was thinking it had to be someone with a link to the 2017 team, and there's only so many of those guys.  BG would be the next logical choice.

Nothing to see here, just a scumbag, trash QB giving credit to a teammate.

It's weird you're still stuck on that. Didn't you even show it was just 1 or 2 posters that called him it?

People are blowing her getting booed out of proportion. It was a pro-Eagles crowd, she’s a Chiefs mascot dating one of the players who’s trying to take another Super Bowl from the team, and fans are against that. It’s nothing more than that and nothing personal.

It was actually much simpler than that. During the pregame and into the game, the screen operators were constantly alternating images between Eagles fans in green and Chiefs fans in red. The Eagles fans were responding with each image from cheer to boo as if it were a game. It was happening so much it just became a normal reaction for everyone. I think fans were booing her image before even recognizing it was her on the screen

Frankly i could see lane or mailata giving a kelce type speech. Frankly more so mailata just simply cause he’s really not afraid to say much. People keep saying Dickerson but lean more towards mailata or lane

Better not be a walkaway number for Baun. Pay the man.

Jake is a bit small…

What are the moves that Roseman could make with existing contracts, restructuring, to free up more cap space for next year? Has that coin already been spent or could some of the most highly compensated players move to new deals that are more team friendly and likely kick the can down the road?

I actually brought this up with my friend who’s a big memorabilia collector. I was like they’re gonna have a really hard time finding photos from this game that are like iconic like the Philly special, ertz‘s diving for the end zone, Brandon Graham  strip sack, clement toe tapping TD, alshon’s catch. The autograph photos you’re likely going to get are cooper dejean pick 6, Milton Williams on the strip sack, Devonta Smith TD, Jalen hurts holding the trophy and Aj brown scoring a td. I’d pay for a Jalen Carter punching mahomes in the face auto tho

I don't think I've watched a Lombardi presentation at a Super Bowl since LII, so I was a bit disappointed in how it went this time around. I was expecting a Hall of Fame player to take it down the gauntlet like Darrell Green did for LII.

Did anyone else think that the spraying of confetti was a bit delayed, too? Or was that just me?

Agreed. People have too much time on their hands looking for something to complain about.

I thought it would have been great if John Mara had walked the trophy to us this past time.

The iconic part about this SB was the scoreboard.

24-0 at half time.

34-0 with just over 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

40-6 with 2:58 left in the 4th quarter.

Those are the iconic moments, in addition to the DeJean pick 6, Smitty long TD, and the Tush Push TD (though that's common place for this team... in the SB its iconic).

June 1st designated cuts of Slay and Bradberry.....frees up 9 million.  They have around 25 million so with that close to 34 million in cap space.  Re-sign Baun, extend Jurgens.

Cap casualties I feel are definitely Williams and Sweat definitely, Becton....all depends.  If he comes in reasonable...then they keep him.

Both Williams and Sweat are looking to get PAID, which is fine with me.  Go get 3rd round pick comp and will help the Eagles draft in 2026.
