He’s right about the idiots being upset about Jason cheering for his brother.

Is it any surprise the village idiot here is the one leading this charge?

Perhaps the best perspective to show how good this Eagles defense was:

They traded their best pass rusher of the last two seasons. A guy who was top 5 in sacks in the entire NFL from the last handful of seasons.

And his replacement, who was their biggest FA signing of their offseason barely played and was inactive in the SB.

And the defense still dominated. Find another team that can trade their best sack artist, and their biggest DL signing is a bust and their defense still dominates.

Forgot to add, extend Jurgens.....also post June 1st cuts of Slay and Bradberry, which will bring Eagles up to approx 35 million in cap room.

Yup can probably free up money extending goedert

It’s unreal…

Full interview. They were probably REALLY hoping the Chiefs win to get Travis acting a fool and Mahomes "personality." Hurts was same as ever, cool as a cucumber. :smoke:

Kelce was actively rooting for AJ and the rest of his teammates to lose.

Also Cox retired, Dean got hurt, BG missed all those games and then came back for the SB and played 13 snaps (if I recall the right number).

Goedert has a $14M option bonus due in 2025, non-guaranteed. They are going to address his contract in some way whether it's a cut/trade/extension I'd think.

Jason kelce is on the 2024 eagles? I didn’t know he was still teammates when he’s in retirement

So you’d cheer against your own family. Good to know.

Yes.  Goedert has another $25mm in dead money over four years.  Extensions (of good players) are one way to spread the dead money around.  We will have cap space, more a question of when Howie wants certain bills to hit because he has a lot.  Most in the league by far.

One thing about the still excellent rosters of Lamar, Allen, and Mahomes:

They are year 8, 7, and 7 QBs. Their peak rosters were a few years ago. (Tyreek Hill, Prime Diggs, etc)

Hurts is in year 5 and is hitting his peak roster.

Its unfair to Hurts to blame him for the natural flow of salary cap and big price tag QBs.

His roster likely won't be as strong in 3 years.

His job is to win. It’s not his job to make you come to terms emotionally about AJ and DeVonta being better than Amare Cooper and Khalil Shakir.

Moorehead needs to put some Shakir tape on for Dotson.

Id tack on two years and draft one in the top 100

He was not in any way rooting for them to lose

For those who have YouTube TV, could be losing CBS, which means if they don't reach an agreement by the football season, will miss Eagles CBS games.

Wouldn't be surprised if they cut bait. It's a 'when healthy' situation

Those things always get worked out. They negotiate in the media and make fans "petition" them. It happened for years with cable and satellite and then they would cut a deal. Maybe it would off the air for a day or something to call the bluff but they'd work out a deal.

I respect your opinion, but over the season Allen had fewer TO than Hurts 8 to 10, Allen's tightness isn't the reason they lost the AFCCG, he had a decent game (0 TOs, 2 TD's, 104.7 RTG), they lost because they played KC/Refs @ KC and had two separate 1st downs inexplicably not awarded to them on critical drives. I don't have to be right, but Allen being a TO risk in this instance doesn't fly (no pun intended), not to mention he went 13-4 with signficantly less talent on his team (on both sides of the ball).

I look at his overall play as an NFL QB.  Not saying Allen is a turnover risk every game but he does have games where he gets a little loose with the ball and shows that tendency he had early in his career.  I thought he looks tight in the AFCCG.  Was just a little off at times.

I'd bet a lot of people bashing Kelce for this didn't have the best relationships with their own family members or close friends.

Yup. I feel the same way. It feels like the people who don’t have good relationships with their brothers, sisters or family members would say something like that. Jason has always been super close to his brother. He has been his entire life. Asking him to choose the Eagles in a game he isn’t playing over his family is ridiculous. Your number one priority in life should always be you and your family. I don’t really care for his brother Travis, but I’m betting if it was reversed that Travis still would’ve been cheering for his brother jason.

He admitted on his podcast that he was rooting for the Chiefs and Travis to win. Do you know how winning and losing works when it isn't a small child's sports league where they don't keep score?
