Rewatching the game and man Travis was awful. He wasn’t he trying for a lot of it. Would be surprised if he doesn’t hang them up.

He admitted on his podcast that he was rooting for the Chiefs and Travis to win. Do you know how winning and losing works when it isn't a small child's sports league where they don't keep score?

Rooting for the chiefs and Travis to win is actually different. He wasn’t actively rooting for the Eagles to lose.

And just like the other two... Barkley will end up in Canton.

Yup. I feel the same way. It feels like the people who don’t have good relationships with their brothers, sisters or family members would say something like that. Jason has always been super close to his brother. He has been his entire life. Asking him to choose the Eagles in a game he isn’t playing over his family is ridiculous. Your number one priority in life should always be you and your family. I don’t really care for his brother Travis, but I’m betting if it was reversed that Travis still would’ve been cheering for his brother jason.

I have no problem with Kelce doing this, but in my opinion people can have different views on family. Some people grow up thinking it's the most important thing in the world and some don't. I think either perspective is fine as long as you're not too judgmental of others.

Over the course of the last few seasons, we've discussed in here how much this team lacks violence on defense. Ever since Dawkins left, this defense has just felt soft. Even the SB52 team lacked guys who struck fear in opposing players. Malcolm had the huge hit on Cooks in the SB, but overall this team was missing something. Then the tackling became an issue and they became a team that didn't pursue, wrap up or try to dominate.

This team though, and it's been quoted by so many of the respected talking heads, plays VIOLENT defense. I absolutely love it. The OL plays violent FB. Saquon Barkley is a violent runner. All of them finish. All of them want the opponents to hate the next play. I don't know if it's a Vic thing, a UGA thing or a CJGJ thing but man I just love it. It's been so refreshing to watch.

It’s a Reed Blankenship thing.  He really looks like he is commanding the backfield communication.

Thinking back on the draft class… Just in the playoffs alone:

* Mitchell had two interceptions

* DeJean had a pick 6 in the Super Bowl

* Hunt had a sack in the Super Bowl and tracked down Mahomes for a short gain on a scramble up the middle.

* Shipley ripped off a long run, scored a TD and forced a fumble in the NFC CG.

* Trotter Jr recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff against GB.

I'd swap out Shipley long TD run for his long kickoff return that set the tone for Barkley's 60 yard TD run to open the Washington game.   The TD he got came in garbage time and didn't really impact the game.  The kickoff return absolutely did.

No, it'd actually the same.  The ying to the yang.  Oke cannot root for a team playing another team to win without rooting for that other team to lose.

Yeah. It’s not to take away from Hurts, but just pointing out that it’s a pretty bogus stat to post.

It's a bogus stat anyway with the state of the game now.   35 points in a game back then was far less common that it is today.   Comparing eras is hard to do.

Can we please stop engaging with the forum ****?

You can! There’s a difference between wanting one team to win and wanting a team to actually lose! Last year in the SB I didn’t want either team to win… But I actively wanted the Niners to lose. I get that the outcome of rooting for a team to win can mean the other loses. It doesn’t mean that’s what you want.

Trolls die in darkness.

It's not surprising someone who was clearly an isolated only child who's also a virgin and has never reproduced doesn't understand the value of family. What is surprising is that poster somehow still has an account here at this point.

You lose credibility flailing around like a child trying to make excuses for Kelce for rooting for the Chiefs when you also try in the same breath to act like he didnt want to see the Eagles lose that game.

I think Hunt had a sack on Stafford too. I’m almost positive he had a sack in one of the 3 prior games.

21 players were drafted by Howie since 2022. Every single one of them except three have played some sort of role in helping the team.  Dylan McMahon, Trevor Keegan, and Kyron Johnson being the only three who haven’t.

And to be fair isn’t Keegan still on the roster? So there’s every chance that he could still develop in to a decent back up at some point.

I would like the blog's best nerd historians to come up with a draft class for any team in NFL history, ignoring the rest of their careers, that did more in their rookie season.

Keegan played in the second half of the Giants game.  Allowing Steen to stay healthy for the playoff run.
