Haha maybe you should go back and see what I actually said during the season instead of assuming. I said he deserves criticism when it's actually warranted. You idiots don't know the difference between that and how you act. It's pretty pathetic honestly. You're weak. Dish it but can't take it. Typical of your type.

If that's what you said then why are crying about it still? When literally no one has said anything for 2 weeks you keep bringing up what people said during the season when he deserved it, even though you say you agreed when he deserved it? You're contradicting yourself

My bets are (and they are only bets) that Slay will be back.

Rodgers was indeed on the last year of his deal, but I expect Howie will bring him back.

What number for Slay?  $9m or does it need to break $10m or they just pay the full ride on the last year?

I think the Eagles need a concerted plan to run less and pass more next season.  No, not because you can't win a SB that way.  But because the best offensive weapon in the NFL is 28 and coming off a 5 million touch season.

Unless you want Siri answering questions in press conferences about why Shipley has a near equal time share with Barkley in the regular season (which is fine with me in the sake of Barkley preservation, but it will send a lot of fans and media into orbit).  Otherwise, I think you want to lighten the load so that Barkley can be popping off 70 yard runs in the playoffs next year.

I thought you were ignoring me

I definitely criticized Hurts if he played bad

This SB means less to me because the Eagles didn't let Barkley break the rushing record in week 18.

He failed quite bigly at tackle…but it was the Jets

I don't think he failed as bigly as you think.  I think he got injured and the Jets were the Jets with him.  Ultimately, I trust Stoutland.  If he thinks he can be an OT... I'm all in.

BEST.  RUNNING BACK.  EVER.

Jahan Dotson.

2 rec, 42 yards, 2 first downs in the SB.

That's a legit #3 slot performance right there.

With a bit more passing next year, I wonder if he'll start to emerge.

He has to embrace being a slot and low volume target

but it also will depend on what the next OC wants to do. The OC turnover is getting quite annoying. Price of success i guess

Any other Jets or Giants first round players we could pick up for nothing in the offseason and turn into all-pros?

Garrett Wilson, Will McDonald, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Evan Neal, or Malik Nabers?

Slay is only making 6.5ish in new money next year, the rest is previous signing bonus that can't move.

He's got close to minimum in salary, a 5ish roster bonus, and 500k in workout bonus.

Trade away Pickett... sign him.  Why not?   He could sing it every week.

I was lit over that (physically and emotionally) but I did give it a disclaimer - "If the Eagles made it to the Super Bowl it basically wouldn't matter"  And they did that and won it.  So moot point.

Never change!😅

Some things that get lost in the parade of more prominent positives:

Oren Burks did his job and then some.  With all the problems we've had at LB over the years, to have a backup come and start for the playoffs while not being a liability is incredible.

ST discipline, coaching, lack of mistakes...all top notch.

Burks is 100% staying.  Cheap and effective.  Dean may not see the field next season (hope I am very wrong)

After watching the game about 14 times now…I’m baffled where this play design and calling was all season.  That was an absolute clinic and seemed to be incredibly deep and more complex than the entire season combined.

It would have sucked if they didn't win the Super Bowl AND he didn't get the rushing record.  But, they got the Super Bowl victory... so whatever.

In 8 years, the Eagles have turned over 3 OC's by failure and 3 OC's by success.  Kind of crazy.

In fairness, OC is the most transient coaching position in all of sports.  You either fail or you become a HC.

No need to have another big name backup QB force McKee to the 3rd QB spot.

I didn’t pay attention specifically to him, but Burks was very very very very good in the NFCCG and SB.  He seemed a lot better than Dean in the pass coverage department.  Dean i will say shocked me with how he emerged as a top run stopper.

Playing possum for 19 weeks to unleash the beast on the biggest stage.

It makes so much sense for them to bring back Slay, especially if he's willing to take a team friendly deal.  This past season,  he's played at among the highest level I've seen him play since he's come here.  Q gets most of the attention but people seem to forget, Slay was shutting everyone down on the other side as well.  I think he led the league in pass break up % (or a similar stat).

If you have a guy like that who wants to come back for one more year (doesn't want to move his family out of town, etc) then you need to figure out a way to bring him back.

This also would give the Eagles a huge luxury in seeing what they have in RIngo and Ricks (possibly Rodgers).  If one of them develops, shows enough this season - it could save them a future draft pick.  Having Slay here allows them that luxury.

He has a $16M option bonus. OTC is showing the results if he got that bonus. That’s the issue with Slay.

Alright, Vic Fangio vs. JJ....

Honestly it seemed like it.  Overall a weird game, the O was effective, but in all reality they didn’t need to do much all game.  They just cruised, it seemed effortless.

How long will we have Barkley for? probably 2026, probably not beyond? Guess it depends on if he falls off a cliff next year.
