I think it looks bad because he's using that new technique where they build a bubble full of liquid so it doesn't dry out. Sorry if my terminology is way off but it's wild what they do now. He'll peel that fake skin off when it's healed.

I wasn’t even talking about the swelling. The "4” in 34 looks way taller. Also the 2’s in 22 look bad unless that’s just swelling too but I dunno.

We won’t know of course until we know but I’d rather it be someone else just to keep Nick out of the offense more.

Same. Reading the tea leaves seems like it’s going to be Patullo though. I just hope this doesn’t create some weird dynamic between HC, QB and FO.

It's not the stats. It's the idiotic sacks, bailing from clean pockets, refusing to throw the ball away (ties in with the sacks). He did those things most games this year, and it was poo pooed because "he out played mahomes in the super bowl in 2022" and "we're winning games". The NFCCG and Super Bowl there was none of that, hell in the rams game he took us out of field goal range by taking a stupid sack.

That doesn't happen nearly as often as you think - and they would not have gone 16- 3 in games he started, if he actually played that way in most games.

So you're wrong.  It really is that simple.

It's a psychological fallacy - some of it is recency bias and so forth.  Fans tend to remember the 1 or 2 bad plays a player makes vs the 20 exceptional plays a player makes - ESPECIALLY at the QB position. Your mind is playing tricks on you - quite literally.

In what Universe does a NFL Quarterback run around like a bumbling idiot, getting sacked, etc "In most games" and goes on to a 16-3 record, WINNING THE SUPER BOWL?.

THINK about what you are saying,  Do you have any idea how silly you sound?  Again, your mind is playing tricks on you.

EVERY QB HAS 3 and OUTS

Tom Brady had hundreds and hundreds of 3 and outs or failed drives during his career.  Think of the first half Patrick Mahomes  just had in the Super Bowl.

Who cares if it comes from stuffed runs, incompletions, or the QB getting sacked?

A failed drive is a failed drive, a bad half is a bad half and a bad game is a bad game.  EVERY NFL QB HAS THEM.  We just witnessed it in the Super Bowl.

It's just football, folks!

16-3 and The Lobardi Trophy speaks for itself.  It's that simple.

Don't let your mind play tricks on you.  ;)

You haters want to rip Jalen Hurts head off almost every time they have a failed drive and/or he makes a mistake.

If Jalen Hurts had a first half like Patrick Mahomes had in the Super Bowl, you haters would have had a lynch mob at his house by halftime.  Stop your degenerate nonsense already

It's just football, folks!

I think Moore overall was just ok but I don’t know if I can get behind Patullo being an upgrade. If it’s someone else outside maybe but the pickings seem slim at best.

Chances are Patullo will be another Brian Johnson and not work out.

But who knows, he might be a good play caller.  Any great OC currently was an unknown at one point and had to get their start somewhere.  Even Steichen wasn't anything special before coming to the Eagles and we didn't want him to leave.

I also think just like Press Taylor, Lurie and Howie will probably have a say whether Patullo is a serious candidate or not.

I agree with the last statement but this is a bit different. It will be a HC coming straight off a SB victory negotiating his own extension. Doug wanting press was 3 ok to mediocre years removed.

I could be wrong but I think Nick is different than Doug.

Sirianni is in a great situation and he knows it.  He has a chance to add a 2nd SB or more in the next handful of years.  If Lurie, Howie and whoever else aren't comfortable with promoting Patullo to OC I think Nick will just go with what the bosses want.  He might not be happy inside but oh well.

Doug could have stayed on as coach if he just said to Press "sorry I tried but no promotion to OC"

Finally finished my last round of cheesesteaks.  Had ordered some Amoroso rolls and a block of Cooper Sharp for the Superbowl.  Couldn't let those rolls go to waste.  Think my heart will be happier when this Superbowl celebration is over  😅

I have a totally different read on Nick. He almost lost his job, he has had his duties limited every year and we all saw how he has acted on the sidelines in Indy, Kansas City and even in Philly. I’d think he will, and quite frankly,  deserves to make a power move.

Weird. Someone who gets it and watches football with his eyes.  I’m still so pissed off that we won the SB

Just use Patullo for a season then grab whichever OC gets fired from the chargers the following year... Literally championshiiippzzzzzz

I disagree but we will see what happens when they hire a new OC.

I'm sure he'll be upset if he wants Patullo and they say no but I don't see him making a big deal out of it.

I don’t think any of us really know what the power structure dynamic is as far as who’s calling plays and what Nick specifically does. Nick always takes the blame in his press conferences when a play goes wrong, on offense or defense, but to me that was always him taking the bullet for Moore and Fangio. He’s not going to say "Yeah that was Kellen’s call” if it was a bad one.  So I do think the coordinators had playcalling duties, especially Fangio on defense. There’s probably more back and forth with him and Moore on offense. On the deep shot to DeVonta in the Super Bowl, the mics caught Nick saying "Yeah, call it” so I’m assuming that was Moore cross-checking if he liked that call or not.

Whatever it was they did this season it worked and I don’t know if Nick goes in trying to make a power move now when it was that coordination and alignment with Moore that worked this season. I’m assuming they’ll want to keep that congruent with whoever the next OC is from a power dynamic.

But outside of the Super Bowl and NFCCG, which I know are two huge games to exclude, I don’t think the passing game in the regular season was THAT much better than what we saw last year. The main difference being that Hurts was smarter with the ball and limited the dumb turnovers. They have a true identity now with Saquon, the offensive line, and Hurts playing smart football. That’s really the system and whoever is the next OC will run something similar to what we saw this year.
