Moore and Nuss as his OC, lock in his son at QB for the saints in the next draft.

Yup, that's what I figured.

I really hope he doesn’t take Parker with him. Brandon Staley hired him in LA. Maybe he brings him aboard as DC?

Yeah, isn't Staley kind of out of job now with Saleh returning to SF? And he's a Fangio guy anyway.

Regarding 1. Fred is 27 and will be 28 in June.  He has always been a journeyman, and was headed out of the NFL when the Eagles took a Practice Squsd flyer on him.  Under Stoutland he has progressed to solid backup status, but his age and his history legislate against ever being a starter on anything other than a bottom tier team.  I suspect he will very gladly extend his tenure with the Eagles at a reasonable price.  I could be 100% wrong in that assessment, but it seems like the highest probability of all the alternatives.

Regarding 2. we haven’t seen much of him, but we don’t count.  Stoutland has seen plenty.  That counts.  @just relax saw him a lot at Michigan and I trust His judgement as well.  Here too, like in the case of Fred, time will tell.

Our ability to take later round O-Linemen and develop them far exceeds our ability to develop Tight Ends.  OL is a day 3 priority, and if Howie amasses additional picks this year like he did last year, Stoutland will have at least 2 or 3 hunks of clay to mold.

I like Keegan a lot but Steen is justifiably ahead of him. An extra year with Stoutland and their weight training. Neither is an ideal tackle due to arm length. Becton, for example, has three inches greater arm length. Guards, both, and good ones. Excellent depth and one steps in When/if Becton goes to RT.

Tyler Booker OG and Darius Alexander DT.  They think Becton will (be allowed to) leave in free agency.

I like Keegan. Nasty streak and just a physical mauler. Depth at LG

Becton all comes down tonprice and whether Stout sees him as Lanes heir at RT. I dont see it but Stout does tend to be loyal to his guys

Seeing Celek there. What a time to be alive.

Booker for Becton

Alexander for Milton

Has anyone been over to the "Simple Jack" blog over in the 411?  There are like 4 posters in there total, and it's up to 1400 pages.  I don't think any of them can form complete sentences.

Becton will the RT.

He will be the priority signing this offseason.

For whatever reason people fight this reality, but Becton was good at tackle with the Jets when he was healthy, and he’s arguably our best pure run blocker on a running team, so he’ll be re-signed.

The only thing that would change his eventual move to RT is if next season there is a tackle prospect they think can be better than Becton, which is unlikely. He’s really talented and has experience at tackle.

Never been an OC before at any level; Co-offensive coordinator is all I'm reading.

Frankly, I think Ken Dorsey was far more qualified and would have been a better choice.  Why do I get the impression Jerry is making them fill out application forms where one of the questions is "What are your salary expectations for this position?"

At his age and history, how could he turn down a starting spot with a bottom tier team and take a smaller package from the Eagles?

As for Keegan, I was also very high on him when drafted.  I see him as a 10 year slug it out OG.  BUT... competition always needs to be brought in so that guys earn positions.

As for my overall assertion regarding the priority of OL over TE... There are far more 'good enough' TEs in the NFL than there are 'good enough' OL.  Just my opinion.  If all things are equal, go with the OL... every time.  A team can certainly make do with a TE like Brent Celek, Trey Burton, or Grant Calcaterra... all mid-round TE draft picks by this team that developed just fine.   They absolutely need to fill up the coffers with more late round picks along the OL... but this team always loads up on the OL early in the draft.  Our current group of OL: Mailata (7th round lottery pick outlier), Dickerson (high 2nd round pick), Jurgens (high 2nd round pick), Becton (top 10 OL draft pick), Johnson (top 5 OL draft pick).   And behind them is Steen (high 3rd round pick).

TEs, on the other hand, yes, last two starters were both 2nd round picks. Before that, Celek (5th round).  And the backups that always produce when the starters go down.. Trey Burton, Grant Calcaterra, Jack Stoll... all mid rounders.  We can develop the TE position pretty well.

I always viewed his hire as a way to appease Kellen Moore instead of a guy the Eagles really wanted. We'll see what happens. It's hard to know what he even brought to the table this year as a coach.

It often is with these various assistant coaches.  Outside of Stoutland, do we really know what any of the positional coaches do?

I just really, really hope we don't have to see Pickett come in against the Chiefs. Would be hard to stomach seeing him do poorly while wondering what could have been had McKee been active as the two instead.

Oh... I'm hoping to see him get a drive at the very end of the game, just like he did against Washington.  ;)
