And they got the 3rd back on Draft day, so the net for Pickett was the two 7th Round picks

That's not exactly how it works.   That's a separate move made, perhaps to mitigate the cost.  Perhaps not.  And there's a cost to delaying the pick from one year to the next.

It often is with these various assistant coaches.  Outside of Stoutland, do we really know what any of the positional coaches do?

I meant more so how work with Jalen specifically. It’s hard to tell if him being the QB coach was beneficial at all with the way the season went down.

There are no 'load management' games in the NFL.

They couldn't stimulate kelces slowness with any current player.  Had to bring in retired Celek. Lol.

Well, yes they did.  But it's been reported that George has a tendon injury. If he tore it,  reducing it to a "jammed finger" is unfair.  And he would actually miss like 6 weeks.

He's kind of right on some things. The truth is the AFC is a lot more stacked. It's why Herbert is putting up nice stats but Chargers struggle

Depending on which division you'd put the Eagles in depends on if they'd have the same success

At his age and history, how could he turn down a starting spot with a bottom tier team and take a smaller package from the Eagles?

As for Keegan, I was also very high on him when drafted.  I see him as a 10 year slug it out OG.  BUT... competition always needs to be brought in so that guys earn positions.

As for my overall assertion regarding the priority of OL over TE... There are far more 'good enough' TEs in the NFL than there are 'good enough' OL.  Just my opinion.  If all things are equal, go with the OL... every time.  A team can certainly make do with a TE like Brent Celek, Trey Burton, or Grant Calcaterra... all mid-round TE draft picks by this team that developed just fine.   They absolutely need to fill up the coffers with more late round picks along the OL... but this team always loads up on the OL early in the draft.  Our current group of OL: Mailata (7th round lottery pick outlier), Dickerson (high 2nd round pick), Jurgens (high 2nd round pick), Becton (top 10 OL draft pick), Johnson (top 5 OL draft pick).   And behind them is Steen (high 3rd round pick).

TEs, on the other hand, yes, last two starters were both 2nd round picks. Before that, Celek (5th round).  And the backups that always produce when the starters go down.. Trey Burton, Grant Calcaterra, Jack Stoll... all mid rounders.  We can develop the TE position pretty well.

Agreed. For some reason, do not really like high picks for a tight end, unless it's generational talent. Otherwise, mid-round pick works here. In this offense, TE does not get enough touches to warrant a high pick. Wasted Goedert's talent for much of the last 2 years. Looking at Calcaterra, who has become a serviceable tight end, seems like the right way to go. Keep building those lines up for first 3 rounds. Also, I'm good extending Goedert for 2 years at $10M per. Seems fair for someone who gives an average of 13 games a year and about 600 yards. And a really good blocker. Definitely not paying him the current $14M per.

Not sure why Baun popped up on the injury report

During the Sirianni era the Eagles have played 20 regular season games vs the AFC.  They've gone 16-4 in that span:

2021 -- 2-3 vs AFC West and the Jets

2022 -- 5-0 vs AFC South and the Steelers

2023 -- 4-1 vs AFC East and the Chiefs

2024 -- 5-0 vs AFC North and the Jaguars

That means one full schedule rotation against all of the AFC divisions.  Their losses were to Chiefs, Raiders, Chargers in 2021 and the Jets in 2023.  That would indicate they would dominate all but the AFC West division.

Regarding Hurtt I can definitely speak to that in part just by watching the DL. Hurts has his edge rushers attack the OT outside shoulder with the outside hand. Example: RDE attacks LT’s left shoulder with his right hand. From this many moves can follow. If the OT is not squared up the rusher can pull and dip around him. If the OT is square he can do a push pull and go inside. If the OT’s outside arm is the least bit lazy he can rip with his inside arm and dip around him. If the OT has good technique he can go from speed to power and bull rush. If the OT wants to ride him around the pocket he can drop his right arm and pull or club with left to take an inside lane.

Everything they do starts with that outside arm.

Ours was also the NFCCG. Had this been week 3, there’s a very good chance both would have sat

I'm not sure I agree with them dominating all but AFCW but it's just a 'what if' anyway so it's pointless

Just rewatched the wheel route to Clement during the Super Bowl win - I think that play (or something similar) could work with Barkley.

Holy crap there was a plane crash in NE Philly on cottman Ave and Roosevelt blvd. Near the Roosevelt mall. Hopefully it’s not as it sound and survivors. Near where i used to live when i lived in Philly.

I was just by there a few hours ago.

100%.  BUT... they haven't really broken anything like that out since Brazil.

What does Moore make now as the OC? Double it and run it back one more year, then he will have a better job.

Becton will the RT.

He will be the priority signing this offseason.

For whatever reason people fight this reality, but Becton was good at tackle with the Jets when he was healthy, and he’s arguably our best pure run blocker on a running team, so he’ll be re-signed.

The only thing that would change his eventual move to RT is if next season there is a tackle prospect they think can be better than Becton, which is unlikely. He’s really talented and has experience at tackle.

You go on with your nonsense narratives. Just bc the dude is huge doesnt mean he can play tackle. He sucked at it in NY
