I don't think he can afford to pass up opportunities at this point.

He kinda is what he is. And he has his known warts about commanding a room/players. If he doesn't take what he can get he might find himself being in the Bieniemy cycle.

We saw how fast the door closed on Bobby Slowik, going from taking HC interviews last year to fired.

Yeah, because Chiefs - Bills was a heavyweight fight.  Nobody viewed Eagles - Commanders as  heavyweight fight.  N

It was the opening act... and it was hilarious!!!

Anyone have a strong opinion on when to pull the trigger on tickets? Prices are starting to soften a little already. Few brokers said it is best to wait until the Thursday before the game. Last time we bought too early for sure.

Flights and hotel booked already for me and dad. Game on. I took him to the NFC Championship game. Gotta try and repeat the mojo.

Goddamnit vikas, why did you not post this 12 hours earlier!

I bought my ticket last night NZ time.....as someone going to my first SB, i was not familiar with ticket price trends and didnt have a good sense of whether its best to wait or push go. Finding accomodation was also crazy. Funnily enought, flights all the way from NZ to New Orleans have been the cheapest part so far....

2 years ago, we lost the SB to the Chiefs on offensive plays that had been used before, but not recognized by the DC and properly defended.  The DC must do a better job to study the Chiefs' plays and put plays in place to stop them.

DeJean on Kelce sounds like a match-up to follow closely.  Have been high on DeJean in the secondary.  His take-down of Henry in the Ravens game was a textbook open-field tackle technique.  Kelce is a key to the Chiefs offense.  If we can contain Kelce, the battle is mostly won.

No one is suggesting Hurts is as good as Mahomes.

Woah woah woah there pal. If you're not bashing him then that automatically means you're saying Hurts is as good or maybe even better than the almighty and great mohomo.

I'll say this... Nothing against Cameron... but he's not as easy on the eyes as Annie.  And frankly, THAT more than anything else is the likely reason behind it.

agreed, hence why I said that I didn't necessarily agree with that person's assessment.

DeJean has defended those bunch formation rub routes very well this year.

The Eagles recognize them,  and pass off assignments effectively.

I will say though,  the failed 2PC by Washington which went to Eckler? on the left side... I'm not sure anyone would have gotten to Crowder in time on the right side.  He motioned.  DeJean looked like he was slow to follow through the formation and luckily Daniels just never looked that way.

Surprising for sure...longest flights ever to/from that region...what is that 14.5 or 15 hours? I've done DFW to SYD round trip once...16 hours, alomst unbearable.

There has been quite a theme with you recently.  It doesn't help your position.

Yeah, will be. I'm used to flying long-haul - everything from NZ other than Aus is far.

Im actually goint to AKL-LA-BOS for a couple of days beforehand to see some friends which will be like ~18 hours flying. Then going to NOLA from there.

Didn't we hire Famgio the last time we played the Chiefs in the Super Bowl to help our offense?  Hopefully Vic is giving some insights again while also helping with the D

One thing about Kelce, is he's used as a decoy alot now and is opening it up for others, especially Worthy. But, by 4th Quarter Mahomes, ALWAYS looks for Kelce. And they usually deliver. This game needs to be more than an 8 point lead in the 4th quarter, so this scenario can be avoided. And to make sure the referees don't impact the ending. Gotta be too big to rig!!

No idea on tickets but there is something to be said to find the best deal today and just say the hell with it, I am done.  It's only money. Make it rain!

Agree. That's how I am with airfare, while the lady in my life would be happy checking 32 times a day until she ends up sitting by the bathrooms.

:lol:Where did I bash Hurts? Saying you shouldn't compare hurts to Mahomes is not bashing. If you think it is then you're a lot more sensitive than I thought. Which is strange considering your fascination with calling people gay

Come on...you know you said their only chance to win is for him to get hurt ;) Not that anyone ever said that.

This game is uncharted territory.  For those who doubt it, I have 0% interest in being proven right when the Eagles are on the cusp of winning a SB.

I've been the captain of the traditional passing bandwagon...for about 20 years before it was necessarily traditional.  Right around 2000, the league made it so easy to pass.  I looked at any running team, any team that would spend a 1st round pick on a RB, any team that would build their offense around a RB....with a sense of absolute pity for their utter ill-fated stupidity.  Drafting raw running qbs...even worse.

I still don't think Hurts is a good passer.  Below average at baseline and above average on his best day.  It's not that I care about stats or being right; I just want to win a SB.  And here we are...1 game from winning a SB.  If they win this game, it's all irrelevant.  The "just wins," the threat of the run with the RPO, the argument that you can win by running...it's all valid by default as this team is enshrined in immortality.  Lose...and we get pulled back into the debate if they can get back here and actually pull it off by doing it in this same fashion.  Regardless, it is amazing that they've come this far with a team that is constructed 180 degrees from ordinary.

I never thought anything would top the Vick vs Foles bloodbath debates from 2012 and here we are

I flew Atlanta to Soeul, South Korea which was 14.5 hours; that's the longest non-stop flight I've been on.  Then a short layover while waiting for my connecting flight 4.5 hours to the Philippines.  It didn't help that very few people spoke English at Incheon Airport.
