Saquon Barkley only needs 30 more yards to make NFL HISTORY.  He has never played the Chiefs in his career until now........

We win the SB this week.

Agreed. Even if they don’t come out like gangbusters it gets Vic’s gears moving and the process of ratcheting down the offense begins. Meanstwhile, with our offense I’d rather have the extra possession in the 2nd half.

A week from now this place is going to hopping with excitement...or everyone will be complaining about the officiating, the quarterback, or the coaching, and contemplating the draft.

Good God, I really hope it's the former.

Regardless of outcome, there will be complaints about the quarterback. It’s what some do. It’s their nature.

The game will come down and be decided by the defense. If the Eagles D plays like they have been and are able to force one/two turnovers, then we’ll be in good shape. They have to get off the field and do well on 3rd down. It will be similar to the Commanders game, as the Chiefs will also go for it on "fourth and a couple of yards”.
It all starts with stopping the run and keeping the gains minimal.

Maholmes is special and putting the ball solely in his hands is a scary thought, but that’s really the best shot you have. If they get their running game going as well, it’s gonna be almost impossible to stop.

It would probably be a Thursday game too, maybe in San Francisco. That would give them a few extra days. I also wouldn't be shocked if the Rams play that Thursday too in some sort of doubleheader scenario.

As someone said previously, they gave us fewer home games this year and actually had the gall to RAISE our ticket prices. I suspect more of the same.

The travel time makes sense from the LA area into Melbourne. To do that in the middle of season is not helpful at all and perhaps harmful on the return journey as they will need to transit somewhere, or use the Qantas Dreamliner. It will be interesting to see when they do it in October because the MCG hosts cricket across November/December/January.  They have at least avoided an Ashes year to do this.

Six. Fing. Days. It’s gonna be a long week. I feel far more confident going into this game than I did in ‘18 or ‘23. My prediction…Birds 34 - Chefs 24. Saquon makes history with the most yards ever in a season and wins SB MVP. It’s a close game with a lot of back and forth…until the 4th quarter. With the Eagles up 3, Saquon puts the team on his back and breaks away on a 40+ yard TD run to put us up two scores. Chiefs last possession is ended by a Zach Baun punch out on Travis Kelce. Good guys kneel to end the game and Taylor Swift dumps Kelce at midfield cause she don’t F losers, and never steps foot in an NFL stadium except for her own concert ever again.

I always want the ball to start the 3rd quarter. That goes for any game, but especially the Super Bowl. I’ve seen the Birds play in 3 Super Bowls. In all 3, the Eagles started the game on offense and in all 3, the defense gave up a TD drive to open the 3rd quarter. I want us of offense after the break.

I was pretty confident in '22. Thought we had the better team. I hope the Eagles win it this time around

I want to see the Eagles defense first. Get the ball coming out of the half

Weird, but I also have more confidence in this team than I have had for the previous SB teams. (I’m usually pessimistic, as Murphy’s Law has haunted us Eagles fans for decades, except for that one precious moment in 2017/2018.)

We are the better team on paper, except for the most important position. If the Birds play their A-game and the team plays complimentary football, we will win the game. In that case I actually think we can beat them handily.

Carter, Williams, Ojomo, and Davis are going to feast on this Caliendo guy.  Smith and Sweat vs Thuney and Taylor is a favorable match up for us too.

Maybe Kellen decides to stay away.

KC oline is worse than '22. Eagles dline should dominate and force plenty of pressure. I think the secondary plays extremely well and gives the Chiefs wrs fits

I think we all realize Andy will have some plays he has not shown for this game.  It’s what he does.

My prediction is we will see him dial up a hook and ladder play like the Lions showed a few times this season.  He knows this D limit’s explosive plays better than any other, and he knows the Eagles D flies to the ball and usually tackles well.  The more I think about it, the more I will be surprised if we don’t see this at least once…with the ball ultimately ending up in Worthy’s hands

Would love to see DeJean put a clean hit on Kelce or Worthy to get the defense jacked up. Like Jenkins did to Cooks

Trade away Mailata and make that team go to Australia.

Yeah he should stay far away from that organization right now. This situation along with cap mess and their roster it isn’t worth it.

And even when theres not, like last week when he finally played well and literally no one had a negative thing to say, there will still be complainers about the complainers. Apparently...

Somwthing tells me this story and these emails were leaked to Schefter by the Eagles/Big Dom.  He probably has the means to obtain them.

One time the pope tried to fist bump Big Dom, but Big Dom ignored him.

Pacheco and Hunt, unfortunately, are very good at securing the ball - maybe Pacheco as he frenetically fights for every yard, but I think it's going to have to be a good hands day from our back seven if we want to push the turnover margin.

This seems like the kind of kamikaze mission that Brian Johnson is cut out for.
