31. Philadelphia Eagles

Mike Green, Edge, Marshall

We came into Senior Bowl week wanting to see whether Green's speed would translate against Power 4 offensive tackles and if he had enough power to create countermoves when his speed was shut down. It was an uneven week. He flashed better power when getting the best of Josh Conerly Jr. in a rep on Wednesday but also telegraphed his speed rush way too often. The net gain was noticeable, though, as Green proved that his play at 6-foot-3 and 251 pounds can translate against better competition.

After leading the nation with 17 sacks in 2024, Green would be Philadelphia's replacement for free agent Josh Sweat and hopefully make up for the underwhelming signing of Bryce Huff last offseason.

63. Philadelphia Eagles

Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon

Tight end Dallas Goedert has been a huge part of the Eagles' offense, but he turned 30 on Jan. 3. So it's time to add a running mate with a priority draft pick much like they did in 2018, when they drafted Goedert to spell Zach Ertz. Ferguson had 43 catches for 591 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2024.

Milton Williams gets single-blocked a ton + has an elite coverage group behind him. He's a good player, but at best the 3rd best player on our DL. Ojomo can take some of his snaps next year and we should be ok. We could also kick Graham inside next year (assuming no retirement).

Garrett is a different animal. You have to double-him. If we add him + Carter, either one gets singled-up OR we're playing 7 against 4 receivers all the time. Advantage us.

Exactly. If you’re going to spend big money on the DL, it’s got to be for super star type.

You can replace Williams in the draft fairly easily. This class is LOADED with talented DTs who won’t cost tens of millions per year.

Thats spectacular but probably unrealistic. Seems like Mike Green is going in the top half of round 1 after the senior bowl.

Sweat had no suitors last offseason. He’s a year older now. I’m not sure he’s going to get big edge money. Probably a 2 or 3 years deal with a lot of incentives.

Zero chance they let Becton walk IMO. The whole offense is built on the run game, and he’s our best pure run blocker and will eventually replace Lane Johnson.

Zero chance they let Jurgens walk either. The whole offense is built on the OL dominating and he’s a pro bowler.

Bottom line, something has to give, and Williams is going to be the most expensive to re-sign. I’d love to keep him, I’m sure Vic would love to keep him, but unless he takes a deal way under market value, I don’t see us giving him what other teams will offer.

Yes I agree. Jurgens isn't going anywhere. I don't trust Becton as the future RT. He has a injury history. If he stays, I'd rather see him stay at RG. Draft his replacement at guard if they're unable to come to an agreement. Also Lane isn't going anywhere. You still have at least one more draft before you draft his replacement. Not sure what the list of FA pass rushers are. If it's not so great, Sweat will get good money. Eagles were trying to trade him last year coming off a bad season

There's another factor at play though, and that is Jalen Carter. Carter is clearly the best player on defense, and we are going to want to lock him up. For a guy who had discipline and conditioning/work ethic concerns coming out of Georgia, you have to weigh how much having Davis (and Smith and Dean) here helps get the best out of Carter.

I see zero chance they move Davis this offseason -- either signs a team friendly extension, or we pick up the 5th year option. Can't afford to have Carter fall apart if they are really as close as is reported.

I see the 5th year as more likely. We can’t pay everyone. I like Davis more than most but he’s clearly not a big part of Fangio’s plans.

Well Miller is stupid because the Eagles will be drafting at 32. Not a fan of the 2nd rd pick

100%!

There are so many good DTs in the first 2 rounds of this class that we can replace 70% of Milton's production by year 2 at a fraction of the cost. Just need Ojomo to be a competent starter in his 3rd year next year. DTs in year 3 is a real thing too, as we've seen DTs here make leaps in sophmore/year 3 seasons.

Baun is the only must-sign player as there's no way to reasonably replace what he does.

I can all but guarantee he will stay. He will get a contract at guard money that gets bumped up to tackle money when he takes over for Lane Johnson.

You’re just not likely to get a guy with better tools than Becton. He’s going to be given every chance to win that tackle spot unless we somehow have a Jalen Carter situation where the rest of the NFL is retarded and a unicorn falls into our lap.

Wonder if a three way deal could be done with Miami with butler coming here, PG going there and picks and guys going to Miami like kuminga

Could be a 3 way where Butler comes here. George goes to GS, and Heat get.... something from both teams. Not sure what Butler's value is at this point.

Remember, the 6ers got him cheap the 1st time around because of his reputation as a discontent. Hes doing that stuff again. I cant imagine his value is high not that hes also pretty washed.

They might have Lane handpicked his replacement in the draft. Like I said I'm fine with Becton at G. I don't trust him at RT. We will see come March. I wouldn't hate him staying. Obviously he's big in the run game

Yup. I’m actually more optimistic than you. I think we can replace 100% of what Williams does in year 2. He benefits so much from being sandwiched between Carter and Sweat, I think a first or second round guy with a year of coaching will look just as good.

Also, speaking of Garrett…

Butler can ask where he wants. Miami doesn’t have to oblige and it’s harder for Phoenix to do a deal as no one wants Beal and that’s the only way it gets done.

Exercise the 5th year option, get Carter resigned after next year, then make a decision on Davis.

If you're ok with a 1 year rental....

he can. he has a player option this summer I believe.

Trade for him. Let him opt out, and then we are out from the burden of that max contract.

Absolutely. Trading for Butler is not about having him here. Its about the amnesty. It is THE ideal move the 6ers can make at this deadline.

IF they can get out of that Paul George/Jimmy Butler contract, they should unload the rest of whoever they can for picks. Its time to start loading up for the post-embiid era.

The negotiation with Jordan Davis shouldn't be that difficult. Extend him to a DT3-4 contract where he can play with his buddies. If he wants more than that, see yah.

Might as well trade Embid and do a full rebuild
