Well, pulled the trigger. Sitting behind Eagles bench at around the ~20.

Are you 140 or 144?

I'm around the ~20 yard as well but mid-section front row (right behind s140)

Yup. What’s irritating on top of all that, they pissed away the cap space Hinkie provides on bad contracts.

It's ALL frustrating.  The only non-frustrating part is Maxey.

Did they say they were jumping on purpose?  I just thought Luvu was trying to time it perfectly and failed miserably.

I don't know how they can ban it when the other 31 teams can do the exact same thing but yet don't or can't execute it like the Eagles.

Maybe they modify it so the QB can't be pushed from behind or something like that.

He was trying to replicate this

Hopefully he leaves with a nice parting gift.  Maybe a really fancy ring... on that says "champions" or something.

Tbh the eagles promoting from within for OC has not worked out well as of late. groh and Johnson both got promoted and both didn’t do well. So if they do hopefully the third time is the charm

Don't see how it would be at all. He's Sirianni's right hand man. Part of the reason of bringing in Moore in the first place was the offense was boring and predictable and they needed fresh ideas. Petullo would just be more of the same and I don't think he ever called plays.

I love all this nonsense about dumping Davis and keeping Williams. Williams is more productive than Davis. Williams is in better shape. Etc.

Well. No. Who has more tackles and assists? Davis, in 114 less snaps. Who plays a ton of special teams? Davis plays more than twice as many as Williams. Davis has more tackles and a sack than Ojomo, in exactly the same number of defensive snaps. Davis plays more early downs, which set the scene for the later downs, where the pass rushers come in.

Takes me back to my characterization of how so many folks do their player evaluation as a snapshot rather than tracking over time. Davis has gotten better. A lot better. That 12-15 snaps a game notion. Still referred to here often. But no. Closer to 23, not counting 8+ special teams snaps per game.

So much of football is situational. Put a team in a disadvantage down and distance situation and their productivity diminishes. Stuffing the early down runs does that. Then Williams and/or Ojomo come in and pin their ears back. We play with a light box most of the time, which puts heavy pressure on our DTs to hold up even when outnumbered by OL, and they do. The Eagles have the league's best defense in large part because the DL holds up and lets Fangio keep seven guys back.

I'm keeping Davis. I'd like to keep Williams too but between the two, I keep Davis.

So lucky muscala hit that shot. Cause this whole thing looks immense worse if he didn’t.

Yup i don’t believe he has. Frankly i still think slowik is an outside guy I’d have interest in. Hes getting an upgrade at rb, TE and OL. Even wr. I suspect he’d have the type of success he had with stroud as a rookie. He has experience and he had stroud playing great as a rookie. I feel he was scapegoated in Houston for a bad OL and plethora of injuries to WRs and even Mixon.

What "streak"?

The Packers were not "the best" in 1960. The Packers won World Championships in the 60s in 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966, 1967.

Also the only team to win 3 World Championships in a row twice.

What "streaks" have the Eagles broken "alla time."?

We kept Lombardi from getting 10 straight playoff wins by beating him in year one (1960).  :groovy:  😉

See you next year, as this year is very much over for the Pack.

I don't believe it will be Patullo, but if it is, it would feel like "Ok, Nick, fine... you won the Super Bowl we'll throw you a bone and go pick your guy as OC"

There is zero chance Patullo is Lurie and Howie's top choice.

Unless they think Steichen will be fired in 2025 and they can hire him back in 2026 and would just transition from Patullo to Steichen is easier than hiring a guy and firing him a year later. But they can't guarantee Steichen will be fired and that feels a little 4D chess-y to me. But I can't imagine Lurie and Howie would want Patullo that would make no sense. And they've seen in the past what conceding their opinions and letting their coach pick "his guy" led to with Doug and Press Taylor. Taylor literally ruined Doug's coaching career.

Has there been any word on Cam and Landon?

I've hung in with the NFL over the years, but this would be the straw that broke the camel's back for me. Giving an international teams 9 home games(by then there will be 18 games) and having teams fly that far and deal with the jetlag that many times per season is a joke. And stealing our beloved Super Bowl from American fans.

If/when this happens, my love of the NFL will never be the same. Corporate greed has killed my love of sports over the years. I don't even watch regular seasons in the other 3 sports anymore.

International franchise could be Canada or Mexico.

NYC to London is about 7 hours, to LA is about 6 and a half.

Maybe you could expand an entire division into the UK so they play each other twice a year.

But yeah, I don’t think Europe is happening any time soon.

WTF??  So you haven't seen any of the Flyers goals in the last 3 games .... or Embiid and Paul George bravely soldiering through their fingernail and earaches?

Ok, never mind.  You might be onto something.

I'm not sure how he'll structure it. I assume it'd be something like the how the Olympics are where each nation would send their team to the playoffs to win the prize

That’s an interesting perspective and definitely has merit. I’d even say I agree. I’m just not sure Fangio will.

I don’t think there is any chance we keep Williams FWIW. Maybe that helps us keep Davis, and replace Williams with a draft pick.

Best decision I ever made. Frees up time to do other things and honestly, regular season games in the other 3 sports absolutely suck. Baseball is too long. I just don't understand getting psyched up for regular season baseball, it's such a slog. I don't like hockey anymore in general, and the NBA is practically begging you not to watch until the playoffs with stars missing so many games and games being meaningless unless you're a top 5 team.

Sincerely hope I never get there with the NFL.

The Packers have been a great franchise through NFL history. 13 Championships can't be overlooked (even though Giants and Cowboys fans want to ignore our 3 older NFL titles), but I'm curious, how many of those 13 have you been using oxygen for? 1 or 2?

The Eagles have 4, hopefully 5 at this time next week. I've been around for one of those 4, but I've been around for all of the Eagles Super Bowls and watched all of them.

Also, remember something. The Eagles are the only NFL team to own Lombardi AND a Lombardi trophy.

Keep it mellow and respectful around here and good luck next season.

Oh, and since you're referencing the Packers being the 'only' team to win 3 in a row, I'll give you one for the Eagles. The only team in NFL history to win back to back championships by shutout scores. 1948 beat the Cardinals 7-0, 1949 beat the Rams 14-0. No other team has topped (or matched) that.

See you next year, as this year is very much over for the Pack.

Lombardi's "year one" was 1959. There never was a "streak" of 9 playoff wins in a row broken by the Eagles. The Eagles broke zero streaks of the Packers.

Still waiting on what "streaks" the Eagles broke "alla time" against ANY team? You already basically jinxed the Eagles on the possibility of breaking the Chiefs streak by guaranteeing the Eagles will do it.

2025 football season isn't over for any team.
