I just wanted to say congrats to both Jalen and Patrick. 3 straight Super Bowls appearances is amazing no matter how you slice it. 5 Super Bowl Appearances in 6 years is just nuts.  Going to two Super bowl in the last three years is also a very great achievement and both are under 30 years old. 7 total Super Bowl Appearances since 2019 with a rematch, wild.

Stoutland said it was Sirianni’s suggestion to move Becton to guard.

The closer we get to the game, the more confident I feel. If Hurts plays well, I think we win by 10+

Refs are going to swing it by a touchdown, guaranteed. It’s not even about blaming the refs, it’s just a reality at this point. They do it every game. If you aren’t game planning around this reality, you’re going to lose.

We absolutely must have a 2 score lead late in the 4th quarter.

Personally, I wouldn’t even bother attempting field goals. Jake has been so unreliable and 3 points just isn’t going to get it done.

Lies, we all know Siri is just here to be a culture coach.

Screw Mahomes. Congratulations to the refs for making it possible.

Yep. Some other keys that will decide the game…

* Tackling. Mahomes’ depth of target is really low. The Chiefs rely on YAC. We’re the jest team in the league at defending short passes. Mahomes will probably pepper the flats. We can’t let those four yard catches turn into 7-8 yard gains.

* Spags went single high in the Super Bowl and Hurts torched him. He went two high last year and we pounded them on the ground. I suspect we’re going to see single high. Will Hurts pull the trigger on those one on ones? When he does, do they connect?

* Rush integrity. Mahomes kills teams in the playoffs with scrambling, particularly up the middle. That said, I want Nolan Smith taking a few chances, especially when lined up against Jawaan Taylor. He can make a game-changing play with his speed on a traditional rush and can track down Mahomes on those scrambles. I have a feeling he causes a fumble Sunday

I pray they go single high. Not only will it open things up for AJ and Smith, but that’s the surest way for Barkley to break huge TD runs.

The single high safety with 8 in the box just doesn’t work against our OL with Hurts running read options; Hurts can effectively act as an extra blocker and freeze out a defender just with the threat of a run, our OL wins their battles, and Saquon is just too fast and elusive at the second level.

If they go single high, I really like our chances. The best bet against us is to eliminate the explosive plays from Barkley and force Hurts to stay in the pocket and go through his reads. If they’re going to give us deep balls and long Barkley runs, I’m ecstatic.

Like the Patriots, we must constantly score.  We must keep them on their heels.   I know their defense is better than two years ago but I believe our Run game is unstoppable.   We can not leave it up to the refs it must be an 8-16 point win.

Went back and tortured myself by watching most of our offensive snaps from the loss two years ago. Man, we really made some huge plays when we needed them the most. Everybody's gonna focus on the fumble, but Hurts played one of the best games of his career that day. If he somehow plays like that again, this game won't even be close.

Two years ago, the offense played well enough to win.  But the defense failed to make adjustments to stop the Chiefs.  This time around, our offense has more play-makers and better.  The defense also improves and the DC is experienced and proven to direct the troop.

KC with AR and Mahomes is always a tough team to beat.

Use our strength to run the ball that uses the clock and keeps KC offense on the bench.  We stands a good chance to win the SB.  Go Birds!

To me it's pretty simple.  If we can overcome Spagnuolo's pressure schemes, we win.

The biggest thing is we actually use pre-snap motions this time around.  That alone tips off a lot of the defensive coverage.  Spags is either going to have to *really* disguise his blitzing, or come out with something so brand new that Hurts can't read it in real time.

Saquon being so agile and explosive too is going to mitigate a lot of that.  They might win in the sense that they get Jalen to check into a run more than planned, but then they're giving the ball to a guy that can break one anytime he's got the ball.

Media week is always crazy, lol.  Funny questions.

Chiefs are very physical too. This isn't the Chiefs of 5-6 years ago.

Its really just Jones. He MUST be the focus of the OL. I expect him to be schemed up 1–1 on the guards. Test is landon is healthy. Test bectons pass blocking

Zone blitz and makes Hurts read fast

Jones is a stud no doubt and he might be the best defensive lineman in the game (though Carter certainly has a shout). I think the worry is we have to scheme for him but then at the same time we know to expect some exotic blitzes and I guess that’s where the problems could start.

Carter had an arguably better year than Jones

They still don't use it that much. They were somewhere around 28th to 30th in 2022. They finished 2024 at 23rd in the NFL.

How is he already 32?

I did some research (my source) and I found out he was born in 1993.  I counted on my fingers and toes (and fingers again lol.... wait I need more toes) and sure enough he is 32

The 3rd and 14 throw to Goedert in the third quarter is still the best throw of his career. That ball was absolutely threaded.

ESP thinks he's a tape guru because he goes back and watches highlights lol.

Two years ago I thought the Eagles and Chiefs were evenly matched; it didn't surprise me the game came down to a couple of plays and a suspect discretionary penalty call to decide it.  This year it feels like the Eagles are the better team.  Kansas City finished 15-2 (and only one real loss before the mail-in Week 18 game), but they haven't been dominant at all over the course of the season.

Where the Eagles finished with a +160 point differential, the Bills and Ravens were both +157, where the Chiefs were only +59.  Even if you remove the 38-0 Week 18 loss when they played without their starters, that's only a +97 point differential for a 15-1 team.  Mahomes and Kelce aside, I just don't think they have a whole lot of talent offensively.  Hollywood Brown and Worthy are fast, but neither is capable of taking over a game.  At this point in his career I think Kelce can be controlled, if not stopped.

Again, I think the Eagles line up and pound the ball with the intention of Barkley and the OL controlling the game.  Spagnuolo will gameplan to stop the run and force the Eagles to win with the pass, but if Barkley breaks another couple of runs the way he has been so far in the playoffs, it's hard for me to see the Chiefs getting a bunch of stops in this game.

Frankly, I'd be surprised if the Chiefs can score more than 24 points as long as the Eagles don't give them points.  Hurts left the ball on the turf for one TD, and Siposs' dreadful punt and the punt coverage gave away another 7 points.  If the Eagles can cut out those blatant errors I think they can win by 10+ points.
