This is actually perfect for the Eagles.

I said a few days ago that Siri should flat out call it out in his press conference to put pressure on the refs to call a fair game and not steal it late.

That would have, of course, caused a lot of negativity and questions the eagles would have to deal with, but I thought the tradeoff would be worth it.

This is even better because it is becoming SO obvious and SO many people are just done pretending it isn’t happening that they’re forcing the chiefs to deal with it without us getting involved.

Even Goodell has had to deal with questions about it. If the refs try to steal it late, the entire American sports world will come down on them like a hammer.

I agree.  Now it is out there to such an extent they had to address it without the Eagles having to stoop to raising the issue.

And, what's it going to do, motivate KC MORE?  More than the Superbowl?  More than a three peat?  F 'em. F the Chiefs. F the Refs. F the NFL. F everybody. F you all. 🤣  We are winning this game by 2 scores.

I think he gets dragged for this way too much. I broke me leg half way through one of our seasons and watched our team go on to win the division. It was tremendous and I was ecstatic, but at the same time I was heartbroken that I wasn't able to play in the games that mattered most. You want to be out there leading your team, helping your teammates etc. This is what I feel that he's going through at this moment. He's not pouting that Nick gets the credit and he doesn't.

Yeah, I don't think having to watch the team win with Foles in 2017 played into it at all; he was up there postgame on the podium and happy.  IIRC, he told Foles he wanted to win one.  I think the Eagles going 5-6 with Wentz in 2018, then finishing 4-1 with Foles and making the playoffs probably played on his psyche a bit, because there were probably guys in the locker room who wanted to go forward with Foles at that moment.

For me, 2019 is where it all started to turn sour.  The slop that the Eagles were bringing in at WR in free agency, coupled with drafting JJAW and overall bad roster management on offense got to him.  I think he felt like he, Ertz, and Kelce were out there alone for much of 2019 and 2020.  Following that up with getting benched without being told you're getting benched would sour almost anyone too.

I don't have anything against Wentz.  His time was up in Philly, the Eagles got a good return for him, and he doesn't publicly trash former teammates the way some of them do to him.

If he has a big game, we are in fat city.  Looks healthy and primed.  A mismatch.

I think there's definitely an element of that, that him not playing in the biggest game of his life felt like he wasn't even a part of the team. Seems like he was never the same mentally after that and his career trajectory from that point on seemed to align with that.

I’ve got us winning by one score. Fangio defenses give up late TDs consistently and this is KC.

I'm actually shocked the media is doing it. I mean I'm happy but wow

Refs have always been protected but I guess the media is saying screw that

It was NFL Media Day.  Not exactly media.  It's any goofball that can get in there.

It's not Chiefs' colors... it's just the Super Bowl logo.  Oh wait...

Really? Didn't know that. They might change that after these questions

Nah.  The NFL wants this circus.  It draws eyes and attention from areas that normally don't talk about the NFL.   The Super Bowl is the biggest money maker single event in the world... so they stretch it out to squeeze every last dollar they can out of it.   And they want the foreign reporters there for that exposure too.  They aren't going to clamp down on it.

superbowl week is so dumb.. nothing but distractions and players fielding stupid questions from media
