The issue with Milton Williams, and the reason to let someone else overpay him, is that it seems highly possible/likely that his success is due to playing next to Jalen Carter. And the best evidence o

Would Gruden come back as an OC or is he a HC only?

I made a post about Hurt a couple weeks ago. Just saw this one from someone on facebook. I think we are really lucky to have this guy on staff, and have to keep other teams from poaching him as DC in future cycles.

Overlooked Eagles coach:
Want to know why the defensive line turned from a weakness to a strength in one season, with the strongest performance being in the superbowl?
Look no further than Clint Hurtt.
Clint Hurtt was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as the senior defensive assistant/defensive line coach in 2024 after spending seven years with the Seattle Seahawks (2017-23), including two as a defensive coordinator.
A coaching veteran with more than two decades of experience in the NFL and collegiate ranks, Hurtt directed a Seahawks defense that produced the fifth-most forced fumbles (31, tied), eighth-best sack rate (8.1 pct.), and 10th-most sacks (92, tied) in the league from 2022-23.
In 2023, Hurtt's unit featured three Pro Bowlers in linebacker Bobby Wagner, cornerback Devon Witherspoon, and safety Julian Love. Wagner, a second-team All-Pro selection by the Associated Press, led the NFL with a team-record-tying 183 tackles in his 12th season.

I am surprised we haven’t heard Doug Nussmeier’s name around this gig. He followed Kellen from Cowboys to Chargers to Eagles so clearly a Kellen guy. Would have guessed he was a lock for OC but what do I know.

I think he is which is why other guy didn’t want to interview

Was just going to post this. The news and their terrible censor basically cut off his entire speech or any explanation as to who he was. I figured that's who it was, but had no idea they picked him up from the street. That's just awesome.

Best CNN reporting in decades. Lol they just let him get on air for 7 minutes and give a reporter version of a parade speech.

We could be negotiating with him as well right now.  If he has any interest in being a HC the Eagles OC is a much better place to be.

Seems the theme of this parade was just grabbing people and taking them places.

Doesn't appear to be one.

"The NFL didn’t fine Eagles DT Jalen Carter for his apparent hit to Patrick Mahomes’ helmet in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LIX. However, Milton Williams was fined $14,069 for dunking over the crossbar after the ensuing strip-sack.”

No fine for Carter.

Not that I think hands to a helmet (in that manner) is a fineable offense, but that is actual violence unlike a mimic archery celebratory pose. In a world that is increasingly frustrated with a lack of common sense, the NFL is doubling down on the idiocy. Read the room, Goodell ...

That article is so dumb.

”It’s unclear why he declined to interview. A promotion is a promotion. If he interviewed in Dallas why not New Orleans?”

Gee, maybe because he thought one was a legitimate interview and New Orleans was a sham to fulfill the Rooney Rule?
