For me, that would be what determines if we pay Becton.  If you can confidently say that Becton is the RT of the future, then you do not hesitate to pay him good money...protect RG for the present, and save yourself a first round pick in the next 1-2 years at RT.

If you don't think Becton is going to be the RT of the future, then it may be best to turn it over to Steen and use that cap $$$ on the defense.

To me it’s independent.

Becton is probably the best run blocker on the team. We are a running offense. Play to your strengths and re-sign him at guard money with bonuses if he ends up playing RT.

I wonder how attached the Dolphins are to Jaelan Phillips.  Creaky knee.  Would play low snaps here.

Torn Achilles followed by torn ACL. Plus him mocking the Eagles last year like a loser.

Might have been an afterthought because it's such a cool thing to share but if you wanted to keep the board and Facebook groups separate then you may want to not post the same pics

Obviously not going to say anything but wanted to give you a nudge that it can be linked. I'm trying to be very ambiguous

I think we can have all 3 if the market is not absolutely bonkers. And it won't affect much down the line. At all! Will see what all the other supplementary moves he has in store. He could go a totally different direction and choose to extend Sweat, Slay and other moves because of the dead cap space and getting good bang for your cap space. He will first see what market is for Baun, Becton and Williams before he goes all the other alternate routes out there. It could go haywire and can't discount that. It's a tough call overall.

Yeah it is.   If there wasn’t a cap, we would sign everyone and run it back.  Unfortunately that’s not the case though.

No way he is better than Dickerson. And probably not Mailata either

The irony is that prior to his Super Bowl performance I thought there was a chance we could get Williams back at 11-13 per year, 3-4 years - something along those lines because realistically, his overall career performance would have justified somewhere in that range.

His Super Bowl performance is likely what is going end up getting him paid upwards of 17-20 mil per, imo.

He's gonna leave likely. I really like him but he's replaceable.

At run blocking? Yes. As an overall player, no.

That’s part of it. Part of it is they just get outcoached by Reid. Like the chiefs hadn’t scored over 30 all year. Think about who they played this year that was just awful and they didn’t: panthers, raiders 2x, New Orleans, Cincinnati. Yet the bills managed to give up 32. And frankly lucky mahomes just fumbled a ball away (bills didn’t do anything but recover it) just outside of the red zone otherwise it might have been closer to 40

It's just one of those things, it seems, where KC has McDermott's number.  Even when the Bills had the number 1 defense in 2021, KC hung 42 on them in the playoffs.

They are two completely different people who have nothing to do with the other. Lazy take.

Then we should never  discuss any change from coach to coach, they're all different people with nothing to do with the other.

It's literally the exact same situation, an unproven internal hire after an amazing offensive season

Really good list of autograph guests at this sports card and memorabilia show. if anyone has merch theyd like signed at prices you wont beat.

I felt this way before, they remind me of where the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were with Tony Dungy. Tony Dungy got them to a certain point. And they kept banging their head against the wall. eventually the big thing you could do is get another voice and another coach to get you over the top. And Jon Gruden managed to get the Bucs over the finish line. The bills might just be at that point. This isn’t McDermott sucks as a coach. This is he may have gotten the bills as far as he can get them.

Embiid is terrible. That’s the most unlikeable team in recent memory in Philly sports.

Berman said on PHLY today that Seumalo could get cut by the Steelers. Is that rumored? Mentioned him as a Becton replacement if he leaves.

Signing Seumalo to play RG > paying Becton.

Pittsburgh would be crazy to do this btw.

Jihaad Campbell is the dream at LB.

Smael Mondon, Jr. is still my mid round (RD3-RD4) target. Add to the Philly Dawgs defense.

But this guy just has that 'It' factor. Would look real nice next to Baun as a consolation prize. Probably still there in RD4.

Has there ever been a more overrated GM than Darryl Morey? I never thought he was any good. I knew he was a lost cause when he turned down the Haliburton & Hield deal for Simmons. And waited and waited for James Stinking Harden. That's all I needed to see. That we're done!! And this last offseason of moves will be categorized in my thoughts with the Ruland/ Hinson trade day and fiasco. And the Andrew Bynum trade. The Sixers know how to sniff out and go all in with damaged goods with the best of them. Ashame Maxey has to go through all of this.

My two cents on hiring Patullo:

The Eagles offense changed during the bye, going from pass first to run first, to put it most simply. That was not Moore’s offense, based on his past record. Rather, it was an offense that the players wanted and spoke up about. In that regard it was more Stoutland’s and the OL’s offense than Moore’s. I have no sense of Patullo as a play caller but he has to know the scheme as well as anyone and better than any outside hire. I hated Moore’s play calling to start the season so I don’t think Patullo’s can be any worse. So long as we play to our strengths I think we’ll be fine.

I thought Moore was overrated, I didn't see the creativity I got used to with AR, who could scheme guys like Pinkston and Thrash open.

I think Moore was more of a big play, flashy stats guy who really wasn't that comfortable running a patient, ball control offense that was better suited to Hurts.

What makes Hurts so good for the scheme they settled on is he's cool under pressure, so he can consistently convert the 3rd and 7 plays when needed, but also make the quick throws and scrambles to pick up 1st downs.

Just want to dump any designed run that has Hurts moving parallel with the LOS, he's a north/south power back, not a fast scatback.

No. Compare them after year 2 for each. And then come back to me. 😉

So the only numbers that count are sacks? No consideration to the fact that Ojomo was a 7th round pick (249) to Williams a 3rd rounder (73rd)

Dude has really stepped it up and is only 23 years old

His pass protection PFF at guard is ranked at 63 rating and number 60 in the league. What makes you think at right tackle he plays better than that?

Lane recently stated he's playing many more years here. Contract ends in 2027. 3 more years sounds pretty certain, unless he has a career ender. He may extend and restructure this offseason if I had to guess.

Becton said he wants to play OG. Says it's easier as you have a guy on either side of you.
