What would be difference in our cap space if we traded for Myles Garrett vs Maxx Crosby?

It would depend what they did on a new deal.  I think there cap numbers are similar for next season.

According to the experts here.. Garrett is an impossibility

That's why buying that championship gear matters.

Is he a HOF OG?

As a certified Cowboy hater, no.  As a football fan, I’d like to think so.  I’m not sure the precedent for IOL and the Hall, but he seems to be one that is worthy.

He’s a straight lunch pail type of guy too.  Never the biggest, strongest, fastest, athletic.  Just brought it every single game, every single down and was a master of technique.  I think his All Pro’s speak for themselves.

thoughts on Membou?

Really like him. I think he'll play guard and I think he needs a year of pro weight training but he's very athletic and he can run. Would the Eagles draft him? I doubt it, especially if they keep Becton. Then he'd have Steen and Keegan ahead of him, both young guys. He definitely has some position flexibility. I think he'll get drafted on Day One, making him too rich for the Birds, who have other and more pressing needs. If they don't re-sign Becton then, yes, they might draft him, especially if he slides a little.

Tell that to his agent when he comes up for a contract. Zero sacks is a very significant statistic here because it's absolutely nothing and it kinda stands out and can't be overlooked. And playing next to Jalen Carter which is supposed to get you sacks pronto I thought. Not to say he can't break through and get some more going forward. But he still hasn't done it yet. Insane not to sign Williams if it's for $20-$21M, which I am hopeful it doesn't go past that number. There will be several bidders waiting on him for such an important position that many teams can use. I have seen rumors about Jordan Davis getting traded. I am thinking Fangio will direct all of this in what's coming. From his actions, he gave Williams more snaps as the year went along and Davis less snaps. He may see Davis as a luxury going forward. And that to me means Williams stays, as you save money that way and get a solid pick to restock.

Different roles. In the base 3-4 defense, you'd have to play Carter at NT against the run, that would be a downgrade from Davis and a lot of wear and tear on Carter.

Teams ran successfully against the 4-2-5, which is why you didn't see it on 1st and 10. Object was to get teams into 2nd and 3rd and long, then put the nickel package out there.

One thing DeJean gives you is a NCB who can play the run like a LB. That makes it easier to use the nickel package, but you still don't want it on the field on run downs.

Embiid is terrible. That’s the most unlikeable team in recent memory in Philly sports.

I honestly feel bad for Embiid personally.  He was a legit generational talent.  When he was drafted his expiration date was around 30 yo.  Outside of the Butler year, they’ve done a horrible job collecting talent around their core.  At this point i don’t blame him for any antics since he’s been putting up with it his entire career.  Dude was a gamer most of his career and despite all the missed games, played through a lot.

I thought Moore was overrated, I didn't see the creativity I got used to with AR, who could scheme guys like Pinkston and Thrash open.

I think Moore was more of a big play, flashy stats guy who really wasn't that comfortable running a patient, ball control offense that was better suited to Hurts.

What makes Hurts so good for the scheme they settled on is he's cool under pressure, so he can consistently convert the 3rd and 7 plays when needed, but also make the quick throws and scrambles to pick up 1st downs.

Just want to dump any designed run that has Hurts moving parallel with the LOS, he's a north/south power back, not a fast scatback.

My brother in law is a huge Turds fan, he echoed similar thoughts when we brought him in.  Lack of creativity, narrow minded.

I will say the SB game plan was like a completely different playbook.

I don’t want to get into a basketball discussion but Embiid was never healthy for  ~5 playoff games in a row in his entire career. All this talk of the team around him is irrelevant because there’s no way he could ever make a playoff run of 4 series.

I’m not sure Seumalo would definitely be a back up? Though I think Steen would have a head start on winning the job.

I don’t feel like firing up the google machine right now…but Isaac is getting a bit longer in the tooth.  Going older isn’t typically a good thing.  If he came as a back up at a reasonable rate, that would be absolutely fantastic as he’d provide above replacement level play at all 3 interior positions.

Signing Seumalo to play RG > paying Becton.

Pittsburgh would be crazy to do this btw.

Seumalo was never close to Becton, I'd probably take Steen over Seumalo at this stage of their careers.

Yeah... that article is from before the parade.  We knew that they were doing that, which is why Eagles fans started flagging their reviews and dropping a bunch of 5 star reviews on her place.

It’s 2 sides to a coin for sure, and avoid any further convo.  He was horribly misused his entire career.  I agree with you though.

He was and is a big mopey baby face....not anything close to a leader.  And he should have been traded like 3 years ago and Morey should get a 50 yard running nut kick for extending him further.

This is all true, but at the same time, he's also not been committed to the game.  He's never really come into a season 'in shape', and that has contributed to his injury history.

I don’t think it can highlighted enough how versatile he is.  He might be a media darling, but his impact was much the same as what Corey Graham did our last SB.  He was lined up all over between NCB, S and LB.

@just relax Who is the best run blocker?

I truly don't know. Put a gun to my head and I would hazard that Dickerson, when healthy, is the most explosive out of his stance, Becton is the best at climbing to the second level, and Mailata is second of the three at both of those things. Jurgens is the shrimp at about 310 but he can really scoot and is key on the OZ or pitch. Lane is just the best pass protector in the league; he's a good run blocker but not in the league of those first three.

I’m only 40 (military aged me exponentially) but this is #1 for me and the wife.  Thankfully I can credit my career as just practice for this moment.  Team no sleep.

I had my first at 38 and second at 43. I did a lot of cool stuff in my 30s. Wife and I travelled a ton when we had the energy. Worked out for us but different strokes for different folks

I’d argue that it’s between Dickerson and Jurgens personally.  Dickerson for obvious reasons, he’s just an absolute beast.

Jurgens however had to replace an all time great at the OC position.  After the Dawkins fiasco, we bished for years about the inability to replace him at S.  Jurgens played to a level that OC was never really discussed as a weak point of the team.  Huge props to him for his play through the back injury too.  Seeing him pin and pull was beautiful.  He was phenomenal in the run game IMO.
