I had my first at 38 and second at 43. I did a lot of cool stuff in my 30s. Wife and I travelled a ton when we had the energy. Worked out for us but different strokes for different folks

I got married late…i was a military unicorn.  No starter wives and congrats on the seks trophies.  It’s truly an awesome experience but currently my world is a complete blur.

Signing any qualifying free agent voids your highest comp pick possibility so I think it'd be a wash on the Seumalo front.

I believe Seumalo will not be available unless the Steelers cut him.  He signed a 3 year FA contract in 2023, so for 2025 he is currently under contract.

Ahh right I didn't realise Seumalo was cut.

He hasn’t been cut yet but there appear to be rumors that he will be.

I’d argue that it’s between Dickerson and Jurgens personally.  Dickerson for obvious reasons, he’s just an absolute beast.

Jurgens however had to replace an all time great at the OC position.  After the Dawkins fiasco, we bished for years about the inability to replace him at S.  Jurgens played to a level that OC was never really discussed as a weak point of the team.  Huge props to him for his play through the back injury too.  Seeing him pin and pull was beautiful.  He was phenomenal in the run game IMO.

I can't say you're wrong. I will say that Jurgens made some mistakes in pass pro that were quite noticeable, but they were very few. Creed Humphrey gets a lot of praise but he can't run with Jurgens, not even close. Ragnow is a beast in Detroit but Jurgens is faster than he is. Cam and Becton are fantastic on double-teams. Considering that this was their first season starting at those positions and that they're four months apart in age, I relish the thought of them playing another six-eight-ten years side by side. They're only going to get better.

Eagles pro shop are liars…i got the text that custom jerseys are back in stock.  They are not…

That would be a ton of money invested in the o-line and that's not even including a Cam extension. Can't see all that money spent on the o-line being feasible.

How much do you think a cut 31 year old Seumalo would receive as an offer from teams after the Steelers do cut him?  Any more than Gates or Toth received in 2024?

Props to you, we are still deciding on more at this point.

Is anybody else worried about Jurgens needing back surgery after one season at OC?

He seemed that he had some issues on hand offs in pass pro that i noticed for sure, but the drop off with him and Kelce was not super noticeable.

McLane being wrong isn't a new thing.  And are the Eagles actually talking to him?    He must be getting information from the agent side.

McLane saying we'd keep Milton but not Baun is very Howie-pilled.

That's just reverse psychology trying to make it real! 😁

Here's one thing that I remember about McCoy. When he was the hot head coaching prospect because he was Peyton Manning's offensive coordinator (and isn't it hilarious how Manning's greatness seemingly automatically spilled over to every coach who happened to coach him...as if he wasn't going to be great anyway and their input probably accounted for very little), he interviewed for the Eagles job that eventually went to Chip Kelly. And the reports that filtered out at the time were that he pretty much bombed the interview process. Apparently the Eagles (Howie and Lurie presumably) were not impressed at all. He was hired by the Chargers and was pretty much a failure there. So I'm not really sure what there would be to recommend this guy. Because he was the coach of a Peyton Manning offense that would have been good if anyone at all had held that job, he's somehow a brilliant mind?

This post gave me a chuckle when I read it because I read the second sentence with the two words "hot” and "head” concatenated as "hothead”

I don’t want to get into a basketball discussion but Embiid was never healthy for  ~5 playoff games in a row in his entire career. All this talk of the team around him is irrelevant because there’s no way he could ever make a playoff run of 4 series.

I don't watch NBA but isn't that just what the Giants said about Barkley last year?

Agree. I expected much greater growing pains for his first year at center and with a guy next to him who had never played guard.

Someone should explain to me why, on both Fanatics and NFL Shop, I can get a Matt Hennessy Eagles jersey but not a Josh Sweat jersey -- unless I pay an extra $30 to choose the "any name" version and select Sweat from a drop-down list.

Different roles. In the base 3-4 defense, you'd have to play Carter at NT against the run, that would be a downgrade from Davis and a lot of wear and tear on Carter.

Teams ran successfully against the 4-2-5, which is why you didn't see it on 1st and 10. Object was to get teams into 2nd and 3rd and long, then put the nickel package out there.

One thing DeJean gives you is a NCB who can play the run like a LB. That makes it easier to use the nickel package, but you still don't want it on the field on run downs.

Agree with all of this. But how about if Fangio thinks Davis is more replaceable than Williams going forward. Then we may be taking a different route going forward. What if Davis is eyeing a huge payday on his next contract and wants more snaps and knows he won't get it here.  Could be a mutual parting of ways. Because I don't think they want to pay Davis huge bucks for 20 something snaps a game. Not logical or happening with how the contracts stagger here.

What's up -- haven't been on here in forever.  SB Champs!

On Baun - I love the guy, he's a stud, but I think we shouldn't go crazy on overpaying this guy.  He has 1 year of playing at a high level, before that he was a role player and nothing more.  He also is working in Fangio's system which appears to be very linebacker friendly.  So, while I'd prefer to keep him, you have to wonder how easy it might be to replace him with a player that has similar size / speed?

Im wearing my super bowl champions shirt today for the first time. And its another example of Fanatics just slapping a Nike logo on a fanatics crap product.

The shirt fits very awkwardly. And what Ive found to be the problem is the right sleeve is much shorter than the left. It seems to be maybe sown on bit twisted or crooked or something. And it creates a tightness extending from the armpit down across the right chest with a noticeable line of stretch. It also seems to fit tighter up top across the shoulders, and has extra room around the belly.

Just an odd looking shirt on the body. I probably will only ever wear it under a jersey or hoodie.

Why in god's name would you be trying to buy a Sweat jersey when he is going to be gone in like a month.....
