Without looking at schedules, I would wager possibly the Bucs or Packers. Are either team that great? Not really, but as the Vikings and Chiefs showed this year you don't actually have to be a great team to have a great record.

And it's not so much that our schedule will be brutal or whatever but it's hard for a team to be an absolute buzzsaw two years in a row, at least right out the gate. Longer season, injuries are taken care of later, coaching changes, etc etc. We'll make the playoffs just not as the 1 seed, and by the time the playoffs come around I think it'll be similar to this year where they're firing on all cylinders

Look at the 9'ers schedule....jesus christ, they might be favored in all but 1 or 2 games

I don’t have to, because at the end of the day it only takes common sense. He’s playing on his fifth year option, of course he wants a new deal.

Oh okay. So claim reports exist and you have seen them but don't provide the links to any of them.  Myles Garrett is not playing on his 5th year option.  He is heading into his 9th season.  He has 2 years left on his current deal.

So would you say right now, just based on talent, the Lions are probably the biggest hurdle in getting the #1 seed?  I mean, yes, you can toss in teams like Rams, Commies, Packers, maybe 9'ers...maybe some "unknown" team...but based on talent the Lions right?

The Lions that just lost their coaching staff (more than even we did)....

And before you say the Eagles schedule is brutal, this is the Lions:

Home games: Chicago (5-12), Green Bay (11-6), Minnesota (14-3), Dallas (7-10), New York Giants (3-14), Cleveland (3-14), Pittsburgh (10-7) and Tampa Bay (10-7).

Road games: Chicago (5-12), Green Bay (11-6), Minnesota (14-3), Washington (12-5), Philadelphia (14-3), Cincinnati (9-8), Baltimore (12-5), Kansas City (15-2) and Los Angeles Rams (10-7).

So....it's safe to say the Lion's road schedule is downright BRUTAL!

I imagine the #1 seed in the NFC next year needing to win 12 or 13 games.....I do think the Eagles can get to that number...it's just who else in the NFC can too....

There could be another fraud team like the Vikings with a cupcake schedule that pops off 15 wins despite not being very good.

Yup, San Francisco with the Super Bowl being played there this year........#conspiracy

Shaping up nicely like in 2017.  Beat the Niners in Philly and win the SB in their stadium.

The Eagles will have the #1 seed, and repeat as SB Champions.

Doing it in San Fran will be even sweeter to make the 40whiners cry.

That will be #1 on the revenge tour 2025 is winning the SB in San Fran's stadium.

If they get something in return for Stafford via trade, they have that and Darnold is an UFA (wouldn't cost anything other than cap space). Darnold may not be Stafford from a career standpoint, but at this point in their careers, they aren't that far apart. Many would argue that Darnold may have surpassed him based on their performances last season. Why do you think the Rams are open to getting something back in return for Stafford?

I strongly disagree. If I had the choice of the Eagles playing Stafford or Darnold and spotting his team 10 points, I’d pick going against Darnold in a heartbeat. Hell, did you watch their head to head playoff game? Wasn’t close and the Vikings may have had the better roster.

The only QB that is available that potentially could replace Stafford’s talent is Rodgers but even that is unlikely at this stage of his career.

Oh how I'd love to win a Super Bowl in the Niners stadium, just to see the aftermath of all their players doing this...

After buying the team for what was it… $6B(!) of what I suspect is borrowed $, I wonder if the WAS ownership group is in a great cash position to take advantage of their cap space.

I've never heard how much of the $6 B came from investors. I know Josh Harris is the managing partner and presumably the majority shareholder but he has limited partners. They may not be all that cash strapped but there's no way to know that I'm aware of.

Call them up and ask for a $120M loan.  See what they say.

Well I got a 20 year old car as collateral. That should be enough, don't you think?🤣

9ers about to pay Purdy big. They're gonna have to reload. They missed their window IMO.

If they are flush with cash... absolutely.

I thought this discussion was about Parsons.  And yes, Garrett wants a new deal as well.

Yeah, and the problem is Purdy isn’t special in any way.

Hurts you can criticize on some things, but aside from leadership he’s elite on short yardage, near elite as a runner, and combines that with good accuracy when throwing in rhythm, a great deep ball, and the clutch gene. Thats a unique skill set.

What does Purdy do where you can say, "this guy is worth a premium” over other QBs?

Cosell leaning Steen over Becton and thinks Eagles may as well. Showed glimpses in his 3 starts of playing better than Becton. Thinks he's been overlooked. And says Baun is priority number 1. Podcast below.

Becton is better than Steen and has way more upside. Looking forward to seeing Becton in year 2 at RG. He’s only gonna get better!

I think Becton is better today, but not as large as a drop off as peeps think. Says Steen got better with more reps. Eagles scored 37 points and 55 points in 2 of his starts. And last game the backup offensive line vs Giants was solid and played well. Gave up 0 sacks and 0 QB hits in his 3 starts. Gave up some hurries though and had some penalties. It's a matter of money at this point. Basically said that Becton may need the Eagles more than they need him. So hopefully a team friendly deal loaded with incentives. Don't think they want to do major guarantee here if they do reup.

When is Amazon allowed to sell The SB swag? I've been waiting because I absolutely refuse to buy from fanatics. They completely rip you off. And the shipping literally takes weeks.

Where are the links to the reports where Garrett has indicated he is looking for a new contract?

Seek and you shall find…

Harris’ group would finance the purchase with a down payment of $5.85 billion that would include $3.75 billion of equity, $1.1 billion of secured debt and $1 billion of unsecured debt. In addition, Snyder would get 50% of the incremental increase in the Commander’s gross revenue over the subsequent two years that will be paid out of the team’s cash flow. (Snyder thinks the two parties will split $400 million while Harris believes $200 million will be split down the middle.) Add that all up, and you get the total purchase price of $6.05 billion.
