PIckett-2.6M

Huff-(post June 1 Designation)-4.3M

Save about 12.5M right there.

And gain draft picks. I'm signing up for that if it keeps me Williams, Becton & Baun. All of those guys are clear backups right now. Can totally see it.

You can’t designate a trade post june 1 it actually has to happen after June 1st.. so in order to trade Huff for any savings it has to happen after that point with any draft picks for future years.

It's always blown out of proportion, but to me the common sense answer is to accept the invite and whoever wants to go can go and whoever doesn't is fine to deny it. That's my $0.02 at least.

They are not trading Jordan Davis.

He's one of the most tradeable players. His value will probably never be higher than it is now and I can't see the Eagles paying market value for a DT who plays 13-15 snaps per game. It just doesn't make sense. I can't even think of who you'd compare him to he plays that little.

These are all of the current DT contracts above Jordan Davis right now. He's not going to sign a contract for less than his rookie deal. Who on this list can you compare JD to? I look at Christian Barmore, but his lowest snap count is still higher than Jordan Davis's highest snap count.

JD has played 26%, 45% and 37% of the snaps in his first 3 years. He's a part time player that was acquired by trading 4 draft picks. If we're being realistic, based on performance, he should be getting Bilal Nichols type of money and even that's a stretch. Nichols lowest snap count, as a 5th rounder, was 36% his rookie year. Since then he's averaged 57% of the snaps. Do you think JD would sign a 3-year $21 million extension?

Linval Joseph played 24% of the snaps for Dallas this year and had 2 sacks on a 1-year $2.5 million contract. They could trade JD and replace him with a veteran to eat those snaps.

I think this is just a Vic Fangio factor.  It’s not just Zach Baun , it’s Nakobe Dean, and it’s even Oren Burks.

Whether it’s scheme, the line in front of them, or development under Vic’s staff, LBs thrived this year.  I believe that Vic Fangio just knows how to get the most out of his LBs.

This is also the reason why I think the evaluations on who they may draft at the position may change in the future… They have not been good at it in the past, but I think that changes in the future as long as Vic is here and involved in that process.

Burks has not been discussed as much because he’s a back up option plan.

OK so the argument continues.

If LB thrive because of Fangio, why overpay for a LB when it's assumed they might be able to find a LB to play his best in this defense?

It's the same argument for those saying Milton Williams is only thriving because he plays next to Jalen Carter.

Who's benefiting more/ Baun because of Fangio or Williams because of Carter?

I want both back because both were difference makers and make game changing plays. You don't just find that with every player you bring in.

I think those who want to keep him are thinking of keeping all the GA Bulldogs together. Which does hold some value. But at some point a couple will leave. He is not worth keeping over Ojomo or Williams going forward. He is who he is. I trust Fangio here.

Offseason rules as per the NFLPA.

https://nflpa.com/active-players/off-season-rules

No restrictions on when players can do things on their own, the only restrictions related to 'organized' team activities.

From the "FULL RULES"
During the offseason program period, except for the ten days of organized team practice activity and minicamps, players may be (1) at the Club facility no more than four hours per day, no more than four days per week, and not during weekends; and (2) on the field no more than ninety minutes per day. In addition, the Club may not specify to any player more than two specific hours a day during which it suggests that the player be at club facilities. Any player participating in an offseason workout program may select the other two hours in which he wishes to attend to conduct his weight training, etc., as long as he does so during the hours of operations of the Club's weight room. During the ten days of organized team activity, players may be (1) at the Club facility no more than six hours per day; and (2) on the field no more than two hours per day. Time limits at the Club facility and on the field for minicamps and for players participating in a Club's Rookie Football Development Program shall be as set forth in Article 22 of this Agreement.

There are no restrictions for what players do on their own... just WHERE they are allowed to do it.

Saquon has his own football field at his house I could see them hanging out there

Players need to grow up if they are going to make a big deal about the Georgia thing. They are professionals now, not still in college. Being in college together shouldn’t dictate moves at this level.

Fangio may have made Baun looked better than others could have…but now he’s been ‘uncorked’ so to speak.

It’s a cesspool there. It’s never been about keeping politics out of sports, it’s always been about "keep politics that I disagree with out of sports.” The same people complaining about the rumor that they turned down the invite would be applauding if Kamala won and they turned down her invite. The same people who cheered Nick Bosa wearing a MAGA hat would have cried if he wore a Kamala one. But for the sake of turning this into CVON I’ll stop there.

I've seen posts about keeping Davis to keep Carter happy. Screw that

A serious consideration for teams interested in either Baum or Becton is whether they think their DC or OL coach can get as much out of them as Fangio and Stoutland can. Vaitai never played as well elsewhere as he did here. OTOH, Seumalo did. This may reduce the offers our guys will get elsewhere.

Maybe their plan is just to promote Jason Michael from TE’s to QB. He’s a Sirianni guy and has been a QB coach in the past.

NO is a trash franchise.  It's been on NFL.com.    Even if they plan a promotion which I doubt then they'd have to hire a TE coach.   I just hope the plan isn't to go without.  They need someone new besides Parks Recreation

This is what makes sense. You get the most out of Williams and Carter for 2 years at the least. You move him if you have to after 2 years or you extend him. Keep as much of the D together as possible.

I'm curious if Becton goes will he be a guard again or a tackle
