People will praise Howie and say they had no concern if he manages to get Baun, Becton, and Williams yet for days they've acted like we can only sign 1 guy

I’d say feels a little high on Baun and too low on Becton/Rodgers.

I think we could sign multiple of our own but feel we will let most of them walk in favor of Comp picks! That we in turn use to trade all the way up and draft Arch Manning next year and screw the giants and multiple other franchises 🙂

They are moving indoors?  Oh what a travesty.  One of the best outdoor stadiums in the league and they are going indoors.  I am so disgusted at these teams building indoor NFL stadiums.  Going to be a real shame if Green Bay ever moves into an indoor field.

No argument there. But, Howie was constantly looking to upgrade CB. LB has always been an afterthought. No one knew Baun would be the player he was last year. When he was signed, everyone was up and arms saying who? Howie was not looking to upgrade LB. He was bargain shopping. Yea, Fangio wanted him, but they struck gold by accident.

I want Baun back. He made big plays each and every game. I'm just trying to put myself in Howie's shoes based on his past moves. LB getting paid is beyond rare.

Baun definitely made big plays, but even more important (to me at least) was his consistently high level of play in the non-splash plays.  He was always where he was supposed to be covering players that we had gotten used to being open for the opposing QBs.  Bottom-line he took away the opponents’ hot reads .

Yea, that would be one of the worst downgrades ever. Hate the Chiefs all we want, Arrowhead is one of the best stadiums out there.

NO is a trash franchise.  It's been on NFL.com.    Even if they plan a promotion which I doubt then they'd have to hire a TE coach.   I just hope the plan isn't to go without.  They need someone new besides Parks Recreation

I don’t disagree, just feels like the plan is everyone gets an internal bump at this point. Combine starts in two days and not a single peep about external interviews for anything. That makes me think some already guy here who was offensive assistant or quality control gets bumped to TE or some other position coach, and that position coach gets bumped to QB.

Paganetti wasn’t announced either as joining the Saints. He was assistant TE coach at one point. Maybe they are trying to keep him and promote him. Who knows.

Either way it feels like no new names are coming.

Players need to grow up if they are going to make a big deal about the Georgia thing. They are professionals now, not still in college. Being in college together shouldn’t dictate moves at this level.

I agree with you, but how does the room react if we say move on from Nakobe Dean?

Makes perfect sense; Dorothy took her red shoes to Kansas and the Chiefs are bound to follow.

I’m pretty sure that’s Mahomes under that house, too, after the Eagles DL got through with him:

He was looking to "get by" at LB when he signed Baun, no doubt.  BUT, with new information, sometimes methods change.   I am going to go by the fact that Howie has often learned from previous mistakes and changed tactics when he's had struggles.   Its very possible this falls under that history of past Howie versus locking him into a single minded way of thinking.   So, I think, especially with input from Fangio, we will see Howie invest in Baun this offseason, and very likely it will happen just before the FA window officially opens.

I agree with your points, and would add that Howie has never had a DC who wanted to deploy a light box before, which changes the roles of the LBs considerably … actually the roles of the whole back seven.  Howie listened and gave Fangio what he wanted.

I believe it’s a requirement if you want to host a Super Bowl unless if you’re in a warm climate. Lurie talked about this for Philly and wanting to host big events, but that’d require a dome.

Let's just have 32 domed stadiums so everyone can host at some point!

So that article indicates he would rework his deal to make it easier to facilitate a trade.  Not take on an even larger cap hit that would make it more difficult to be traded.

Actually it says neither. You may want to read it again.

If Dean was healthy, do you think Burks would be back?

Burks playing is going to have a big impact on the Baun decision IMO. They could very well be telling themselves that Burks/Trotter/BVS/rookie or FA is good enough to hold down the fort.

Howie probably wants to stay away from FAs this offseason to avoid burning Comp Picks in 2026.

I think they'll likely put Burks 4 mil or so to Baun and just go with Trotter & BVS/rookie until Dean is back.  Or they'll wait out the market for a 2mil vet

Burks himself could be that $2mil vet … with incentives

Agree and imagine drafting Cambell to go with Baun

i also think that for all the DL talk that a corner could be a sneaky rd1 pick. If Q were hurt we would have next to nothing outside. I do want to bring rodgers back if feasible

I think Jihaad is unicorn like. Can play off the LB at a very high level, also has a very high ceiling at rushing the passer. Think he's the better prospect when Nolan came out whom we selected at 31. If they want to strictly move him to the edge then he comes into play for us in round 1, but he also brings the other elements. I can't even imagine what Vic could do with both Baun & Jihaad. I'd absolutely love the selection at 32 or even with a slight trade up to land him.

All I know is that it's exhausting on twitter right now. Both sides are so arrogant and condescending with their comments. I hate social media so much. I wish there was a way to read the news that I wanted to read without the draining online fighting.

Yeah? Well your Jordan Davis takes stink! Sad!!

I can't imagine why any fan woupd care about their city hosting the Super Bowl unless you're a local business looking to benefit from the influx of people for the week.  Indoor stadiums ruin the game of football and take a magical element out of it.

Correct. There's a temp requirement and a seating requirement

Baun seems more in tune with what I'm thinking in this updated list. I'd still spend that for him, no questions asked.

They aren’t getting Campbell for the simple fact that it’s February and people are mocking him to them at 32. There’s no way that can turn out to be right

There was a rumor that Lurie is interested in building a retractable dome in Philly.
