I'd prefer to just keep building the way they've been building, but I'm sure if they end up swinging a trade for Garrett, they'd do it in a way that doesn't strap them. It might very well come down to Eagles or Wash for him. If he gets traded. I don't see a ton of teams out there who will be in play. Maybe Packers or Lions. Maybe Rams too, Snead has a knack for trading for vets, but I think their DL is good enough.

Gannon will end up with him.

The extension we have all been waiting for

They’ll figure out the cap. I’m not sure why so many of you are worried about it.

Sweat is definitely gone. Wiliams and Slay I’d guess are like 80% gone.

They'll definitely figure out the cap.  The (circular) debate is really what that means in terms of players

Thanks for the ring, Saquon. Good luck on your next stop.

He's not going to the Cardinals lol. He's only gonna get traded to a contender because he'd only be traded based on him demanding a trade and he wants to go to a contender.

As of right now every NFL team has exactly one first round draft pick.  That hasn't happened in ..... forever.

This past season I commented a few times how less parity there was in the league; IMO there are legitimately at least 10 terrible teams picking in the top 10.  If Tennessee trades out of the #1 pick, for example -- who trades up to take it?  There isn't a consensus franchise QB available and, while I see Abdul Carter as the clear #1 prospect, there isn't any consensus on that.

It should be an interesting first round.

Ward is the only guy I think a team would trade up for. He at least has the tools to be an upper echelon QB.

Sanders is the "safe” pick but I don’t think anyone would trade up for him.

What is the active roster in February?

They didn't sign him for pennies on the dollar.   They went full nickels!

Just weird wording. They cut him from the PS before the Super Bowl so I guess he wasn't eligible for a futures deal but are somehow allowed to sign him before free agency.

Beats me.

Hope he doesn't turn out like Rashaad Penny. Now that was a fun year talking about his greatness! 🤌

Why not use those same draft assets and maybe a player to go up and get Abdul Carter?

Until He's traded somewhere else.. I'm going to continue to dream of Carter and Garrett on the same line

This makes it sound like almost everyone is walking aside from maybe one guy like Baun. I think Sweat and Williams played themselves out of their money range which is what you deal with for them dominating in the Super Bowl. You can’t keep everyone and I get that.

Wasn't expecting that

He did also say that fans shouldn't be getting rid of their jerseys just yet. So I think they're going to keep some guys. I've maintained all along I think Becton and Baun stay. Can't see them allowing 3 of the 4 to walk. But they may move on from a guy like Slay though. Maybe Goedert if they can't agree to a restructure, but I think he stays. He certainly won't be back at 16m though.

Garrett doesn't have that kind of pull; he doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract so IF the Browns decide to trade him (big IF at this point), they're not going to narrow their focus down to "contenders".  It's the Browns who would make the trade -- not Garrett -- and they would decide on the appropriate trade package to accept.

You're also underestimating the Cardinals ability to compete in their division.  10 wins won their division this past year and there is ample doubt whether Stafford returns to the Rams in 2025.  They're currently as good as SEA and SF, and likely better than the Rams with no Stafford.

The Cardinals also have the 4th most available cap space in 2025.  They have available salary and a desirable location.

And even some established guys under contract aren't coming back either.

If Garrett retired right now, he’d be inducted into the hall of fame in 5 years and he’s still under 30. I’d bet at least 10 teams have reached out to the Browns on his status.

It’d take multiple picks and probably Nolan Smith to trade up for Carter.

Honestly, as a Penn State, I’m a bit shocked he could go number 1 overall. He’s definitely a first round talent but I never watched him and said oh wow he’s the best player in the country.

Yeah, the NFC West should be a bloodbath division this year.  Good for us, IMO. Let them all over-spend on assets and also beat the balls off each other.

He wants out but Browns GM has repeatedly said they have no intention of trading. So I'm curious if he'll hold out and just accept the fines
